If Labour win the next election & we have a Marxist Chancellor you will get nothing - it will be Game Over for the Stock Market & the UK.
as expected which should be good if its going to get nationalised. No point grabbing a duffer! So mixed message for my divis, all or nothing.
Months most likely but years? In some ways I wish they would start to raise rates and get back on a path to a more normal rate. I suspect many will fall but we seem to be delaying the inevitable which might kick the can down the road but might be much worse than it might have been. Drip Drip sounds sensible although I have been on a different tack of buying on dips and front loading some dividends ie investing them before receiving them. Rate rises, whenever they come might act negatively on SP's and be the push to add more when that yield rises a tad. Still that progressive dividend might take care of itself over time too.
Drip, Drip back in to PNN for my divi and add further at current levels. Good steady company with progressive dividend policy - only risk to share price will be hike by BoE to interest rates but don't see a rise for a good few months/years!
Nice to see the dividend has been paid but where to put it? Off to the pot until I can decide, suspect more nuke headlines might help push me sooner or later. More drainage for the S. West might be the cry getting closer to home and a bit more on topic
In my view so have added more today at a shade under 800
Was it over valued then though? Markets were on a high and had risen quite a bit. I suspect this is getting more normal now.
i think that the interesting part of this business is the non-water side. They corrected their error by trfring the contract to Babcock. I have high hopes for this over the next 2yrs and supported by the defesive qualities - as others have said - of the water side
This was 950p a month ago. Crazy. Water/utilities = defensive??
thanks mm's for marking this down today i took advantage and bought some more. i will have some of that 3% divi thanks
Nice 24.7 p divi on its way after Thursday - this has been very harshly taken lower and yet the fundamentals and divi unchanged - strange !
Very harsh sell off of all utilities possibly sparked by talk of a rise in interest rate. RSI's now very, very low.
companies getting a mention again by JC to be nationalised.
SP but cant sed much reason although I only spent 20 seconds on google. could be the start of the summer malaise
Fear ye not. The English will not have it and SNP will lose seats to the Scots Tories. Alternatively I lose money.
I am a little bit worried that Corbin might get in.
Hope you didn't sell on the drop still have my exit price to hit
Good luck people I am out with a nice tidy profit.
Can't believe some fools have been shorting this! Shorts down from 4% but still stands at 2.4% You have been burnt! Nice dividend to come also.
Looks lovely should be at 950 in no time
at first glance look good, divi up as expected. Will check back later.
I'm surprised UK PLC hasn't got an investment arm to benefit from long term growth and income. Then again you need to have some money in the pot to buy to begin with. Tax payers shouldn't have to have PFI type loans to fund hospitals and schools it should come out of the tax take from a balanced book. It's like me going to Wonga to buy shares..... the sums dont stack up
If Labour ever did get in it wouldn't matter too much about nationalising everything beacause before long we would have to go begging to the IMF for a bailout as we drift towards a basket case country full of strikes and all the top companies and people leaving after punishing taxes - he is on another planet ( a 1970 planet) that's if we haven't been invaded by another country while Corbyn surrenders our armed forces - it all doesn't bear thinking about !!
Don't worry folks it's not going to happen. Just heard John McDonnell on the radio. That's all you need to do.
