Pennon Share Price (PNN)

Strange reaction of utilities today, a lot up 5-6% today, they must be regarded as a safe haven and are interest rate sensitive as bought for dividends and I guess this crisis will increases the likelihood of rate cuts. Was planning to sell some SHELL to get to my CGT limit for the year but got the opportunity to sell Seven Trent Water, got these on a fund raise 1 and 1/2 years ago and turned a nice profit. As part of the plan this cash will go into my ISA and will buy companies not doing any/much business in the UK . Pity Primary Bid stopped dealing direct with retail investors took part in many good fund raises including twice in LSE shares and twice in Seven Trent Water, may well come back if UK market improves, don’t hold your breath.

Almost breaking even on PNN if you count the dividends, may get there sometime next tax year, if so I am out as too much danger with companies especially utilities in this country with Labour Government but not that good under the last Tory government either. As I pull out of these if CGT tax allows as stated above will mostly/all go out of the UK as UK is business belligerent and will stay this way for a time.

This looking like a safe port in a tariff storm. Will the price hit a fiver. Not great for reinvesting tomorrows dividend.

Savage Keyboard is a deramper predicting gloom, he will appear if SP drops and crawl back in the woodwork if it rises. He has been doing the same on the CPI board in spades and getting a lot of flak from genuine shareholders who he loves to wind up if SP falls and keeps predicting gloom and doom. He is new to shares and knows very little.

He does not own, want too own and too scared short CPI, PNN, he is a sad individual who gets off on schadenfreude posting from the bedroom in his parents house. He even took a day off work to post when CPI published annual report so he could gloat to shareholders if bad in a share he has no interested in.

Well I reckon I'm sleeping more soundly as a buyer below £4 than Savage Keyboard who reckons they will keep falling - may be they will but long term they're decent value below £4.50 imho

Thanks Gerry557 for your answer, so you say 27p Div = 6.7% yield at 400p, I think I will put an order in @ 375p = 7.2% yield which would nice for my SIPP
