it's being 3 months already, since the 1st info on 17.Dec.2020 about the Protos site clearance.
since then no info, no evidence on what is going on there.
is there any further details provided on that?
did the construction strated already or only the site clearance is (was) completed?
Thanks
Please don't worry, Spring is here and we will be able to watch the birds nesting on site, again! That will entertain us while we wait for developments.
Seriously, I would hate to run-down an innovative company that could be so good for the environment - and make us all money - but something is going wrong here. Has anyone actually seen a full-size EMG functioning? Do we know that it will ever work?
I saw the following comment about another share on an LSE BB recently; "they seem allergic to crossing the finish line". It could easily apply to PHE and all. Very sad and shaming for Britain and its industries in my view.
Hi chopper: One or two points to note:
There is a small prototype-type system running at Thornton Park, but the DMG system planned fro Protos will be the first commercial unit to be built. That's why it's referred to as the FOAK (First of a Kind). Latest target for completion of the installation and having the system operational is Q1 next year. Will it work? Well the engineers assure us that it will!
Peel is the "developer" for the project, not PHE. So Peel are responsible for the site preparation, construction and installation. PHE will be providing the technology and overseeing the installation and acting as consultants.
I wouldn't worry to much about nesting wildlife either. With the site cleared there is a great chance the birds won't be back as there is literally no nesting room of assume.
They started all this stuff about 18 months ago . At first we were told the birds were delaying things. A year later have they built a single block ? Are these guys serious ? It is becoming a joke - maybe an expensive one for some of us . The world will be over before they get this world saving machine built . Pathetic
I was on the understanding some roads were built and there was some industrial units installed, things look to be happening on the site overall but perhaps not on our plot!!

I think Peel may feel the need to identify some potential Hydrogen customers before triggering the license fee. Relying on energy to grid alone will put them in competition with Covanta possibly? I wonder if Covanta secured an agreement against that prior to agreeing to invest in there new site?
^ a year later they have levelled the site ^ - They should have the whole plant built by now . Its unbelievable . Maybe thats the problem , Peel dont have enough belief
As i see it (for what that is worth) PHE are now simply contractors here, paid by Peel to build the DMG. Peel have PHE by the short and curly. They surely have buyers for hydrogen, and I cannot think what Peel's motive is in hanging around. Poland will not move until they see DMG working as described on the tin, nor anywhere in UK will a DMG be built until that happens.
Methinks a few shorter types are playing mind games. All builders know all the time goes into the prep and foundation work. This has to be done right and then the build on top is very fast. Patience. But no harm in company giving more detailed updates.
I am emphatically not a shorter. I have a large fraction of my portfolio in PHE and I wish it well - as soon as possible please, though experience shows almost everything takes longer than planned, sometimes a lot longer.
i found something more here might have already seen. it#s dated Mar 13, 2021

could have ploughed that in an hour
There has been good debate on here on the pros. and cons. as to why ´it is what it is´.
My view is when a company , like PHE, has contracted with ano. company such as Peel, to develop the site, and construct a plant designed and developed by PHE, there is a fundamental business plan problem. PHE are not in control of its destiny in the UK. Since there will hopefully be a plethora of businhess opportunities derived from the success at protos, the Flagship model, then it is crucially important that everything is done right. After vsaying that, it is also crucially important that the owners of the company, us, as SH´s, are informed of developments, good or bad. It is not Peels responsibility to inform us, it is the BOD of PHE. We vre all guessing at things, because we do not know the facts, and that is a failing of this BOD.
DR. A. - regarding your post at 8.16 last night.
The situation regarding "access roads" on Protos from what I have seen, is that there is significant activity now in what appears to be an extension of the Phase 1 access road, that will give the alternative access to plot 8 (Covanta).
From the site availability diagram (link below), this will run from the N.E. point of plot 10A, between Plot 3 and Plot 4, turn right at Plot 5, and subsequently access to Plot 8.
https://www.protos.co.uk/site-availability/
There is no activity yet on our "little" access road to Plot 10B, which will be an offshoot of the existing Marsh Lane bridleway, which when permanent will run adjacent to Plot 9B, give access to Plot 10B and Plot 13, and then run round to Plot 9A, and then (I assume) go back to the old bridleway that goes to Frodsham.
Plot 9B is being used as a storage compound and now has 3 tiers of 19 portakabins (57 total) now having services plumbed in. This is in addition to about 15 cabins also being fitted out (Sisk) on Plot 11, just off the traffic island.
So.......... quite a lot of preparation activity happening at the moment and I suspect it will soon become a frenzy of construction, to keep all the anticipated manpower busy.
Personally, I dont subscribe to the "Peel dragging its feet theory", I would imagine its more of a financial/ paperwork and logistics dependency issue, and all types of ducks need to be lined up neatly, before seriously commencing construction work.
A potential niggle I had was around Enviroo and the possible dependency on them obtaining planning approval (now OKd) in starting our access road, as it is a shared access to Plot 13, and also the dependency regarding feedstock for both Enviroo (PET) and ourselves (the non-recyclable). So now Enviroo have their planning, this may help in relieving the financial constipation that has been holding back our construction start.
Forgot to mention - quite a bit of "Protos Phase 2" signage newly erected on the approach roads.
Always appreciate the updates LedZep #ThumbsUp!
Thanks LedZep.
Thanks led zep....
It always reassures me when you post as I'm sure it does to countless others!
Keep up the good work..

Thanks LedZep. Had a peek at the site via Google Earth, interesting when we take your views into context. Cheers.
