Just fyi when we were kids we used to learn that there was 'good, better, best'. Funnily enough there was no 'more better'

as that was 'best'. So in a nutshell 'much better' is good, but 'more better 'is best. OK?

Hi Droverman, Not looking to sell anytime soon, my problem is knowing WHEN to sell, always has been and usually results in missed opportunities and many ups and downs.

I can understand someone in your position wanting to buy the farm next door. I am not a farmer but having spent my whole working life in a business that deals with farmers I have a pretty good idea what makes them tick. Usually it's gathering grants and wanting more land, the difficult thing is making that land pay for itself, stopping the wife spending all he profit, if any and resisting the call to buy the kids fast cars etc. Oh yes and bigger tractors. But you know all this of course. I wish you well with your venture, wouldn't swap places with you for the world. Regards BT

TAs, trends, gut feelings whatever. All I know is that Gold is down significantly from its high over the past weeks. I also know that GGP is down more than likely for the same reason. That I know.

I also know that I have been happy to take Speedy's advice re Brits and as such am showing a tidy profit, granted that is also down.

I have been happy to take advantage of the 'downs' by adding to my stash. I find 'buying' is relatively easy; the difficult part is knowing when to sell.

If anyone has the answer to that conundrum please let me know.

In the meantime I shall continue to take soundings from this board and in particular Guru Speedie.

Hi Bunky, not seen you round these parts before. For a 45 yr old that is more than au fait with hyper inflation and the decades before, you seem to have little or no idea of what a worst case scenario might look like. None of us have a crystal ball but most rely on a bit of nouse to work things out for ourselves.

Perhaps you would care to spell out what exactly you do know about hyper inflation and the decades before? I'm sure somebody will be willing to fill in any gaps for you. Have you thought of emigranting, or have you just arrived?

Math or maths - we may not be American but if things go according to plan I may well consider applying for Aussie citizenship in the next twenty years!

Unfortunately I was a LTH of SolGold and all of your comments at 10.40 this am applied to SolG

that did not stop he BOD from accepting a low ball offer from the Chinese and robbing me and my felloe LTHs

of a lot of ackers. Nothing is set in stone but I do thinl/hope that Saun is made of sterner stuff.

I have been sitting on the proceeds of my stolen SolGold shares, watching market fluctuations

over the past weeks and feel that I must settle on one or the other or both, pretty soon.
