Maybe he's onto something? Microsoft listed at $21 in '86. By '95 it had dropped to $3.60 ISH and had over 9B shares in circulation.
Now it's shares are sitting around $420 ish.
Now far from it that I suggest it's the next microsoft I do have faith that PHE is important for global future. Or at least conceptually it is. So topping up when it's low is smart. And if god forbid it collapses, it's only pocket money for me here and there - I spend more chasing the horses and having a pint with friends - so it's not money I would immediately miss. Maybe Paul is in the same boat. Disposable income he knows he won't miss but is willing to take a dig with.
Agreed Robbie.
People complaining half-hearted about progress....I've been in only coming on four years now, this progress is very impressive in my opinion.
Either people who have been in less time than me, or people hoping to draw down a price but gently undermining (no pun intended) price.
JR69 - not to call you wrong at all but I would be cautious suggesting 1.76 in the next four years.
I bought in about may 2020, to watch the price skyrocket past 10p. Since then it has dropped off time and again, had poor news and a board that changes often. And all the while there was much more conservative views of .50p a share pushed about.
So, unless we see some very deliberate moves by the board, actual building and movement overall I don't think we will see this hit 176p in four years.
Don get me wrong, I agree long term this is a good investment. But I'll be happy of we settle easy at about .25p in the next four years personally.
I read this peace. I am envious as it seems like a pretty unique line of work/hobby. My only concern is others starting to find these mines and either try exploit then or, end up hurting themselves. Or some activists trying to protect all mines on the back of this.
"Do you have a PhD in engineering? I do therefore I know better than you..."
In my line of work those that need to openly hawk their knowledge and credentials are those with the least to bring to the party. And the more people assume their knowledge over others the less they learn.
So how about we put aside the measuring tape and be polite?
I agree Robbie, but i think the drama is some people bought in at a point, and have watched it drop. Add all the naysayers, and the long downard spiral, couple that with the poor publicity and delays and some people will be happy just to get out - even for the pennies gained.
Others won't have thousands to drop. Some - very much like myself - will put pennies to this when and as they can and they're not supporting families, paying the bills and a mortgage. Pennies is all some have.to which when they sell, it will be for small amounts. This may have been a speculative buy for many hoping for a quick turn of good luck (There's more than enough success stories about buying shares before they rocket at the last second). Instead, that's not happened.
I get and understand the frustrations. I am slowly dropping cash into this and a few others as and when I can. I am patiently awaiting the news that fires this share off. But I can fully get why others wouldn't wait, would take what they could and maybe invest in - shall we say a more boring but possibly stable share.
Hm I've seen on a news feed they're interested in blue hydrogen. I'm guessing blue or green, realistically they'll use both if they're going down that path. But if they prioritise blue, will that effect us?
@Robbie lol same thoughts as you. But, two more weeks or so is nothing. Way I see it now mucker, anything before December is good news. (Doesn't help we're getting more rain than usual. Typical British weather)
I hope you're right mate. Maybe I'm being too cynical.
While I am as happy as all to see this make a nice wee rise, let's remain level headed. We've been here before, seen it rocket to 10p a share then tumble down to where we are. And in investing terms all in a VERY short while.
I am very positive on this share - I'll openly admit I am biased I want to see it do well. But also urge a realistic and level headed stance. Good luck all.
Possibly everyone is just waiting kicking their heels. They'll either buy privately themselves, hold, or sell. But just don't feel the need to broadcasts it.
My understanding of hydrogen Vs electric, is that you get far more Hydrogen for far less weight verses a battery for electric? Evidently there is the storage issues then for the hydrogen. But overall it's more efficient? I of course could be completely wrong and misunderstaning the concept.
There was a nees article a year or two ago about a company putting an electric car into an endurance race and calling out hydrogen. A hydrogen company replied that they could do the entire race on one tank, and it would be faster. I'll see if I can find a link.
If that is the case though, then surely a logical stance would be to use hydrogen?
Agreed sharesport. I was just curious to try put it to bed but you're quite right. As soon as they're ready they'll let us know.
Out of interest, though, has anyone on here tried to contact PHE with a copy or link to the story and ask them what's happening?
We used to have members here who would get in touch with PHE, but unfortunately a few of them have been quiet on here as of late.
It does raise a few questions.
How much can who ever the large sellers be actually be getting selling at these prices?
What did they buy in at/where awarded at if they are making profit?
I don't buy into conspiracies etc. I have a lot of faith still in PHE. And openly admit yes, I am biased even if I am at a massive lost. But I do feel someone or some people are trying to manipulate this price. That, or someone has drastically lost all faith.
No one really knows what's truly going on. Wether you're strong buy, strong sell or anywhere in the middle, we don't know what's going on.
Alba are not great for keeping to a specific time line. When they do give time scales they're almost always late or delayed which doesn't help.
It does feel very much like 'jam tomorrow' always.
Saying that, WHEN they finally get the dewatering license I do believe that Alba will start to recover. Until then though I wish they - the board - would stop offering up times scales they keep missing?
(I have deliberately ignored GROC - not because it's unimportant. But rather because although tied if I want to discuss GROC I will go to the relevant page)
Lee I hear you.
I would say no matter how pleasant people are, how nice, how much information they seem to have, ignore them. Not out of spite but because in my albeit very short time in this company they have yet to keep to a timescale, or plan, or proposed update. And kind posters try and guess where these will come. But basing my hopes off of such ruminations has meant I have been left disappointed a lot.
I now just check on it once a month or so and that's it. Anything the company need to say I'll catch then. But it stops me being drawn in by good intentions then feeling let down.
Getting premonitions of last year here. Assay results which where due in march not arriving till may etc etc.
They'll be here when they're here and not a moment before. By trying to guess timings all we do is push away potential investors who expect good news then see it delayed repeatedly.
Let's just remain patient this year please all.

...but can we please all remain level headed and grounded. I would.love nothing more than to see this hit high numbers and keep going - trust me this would be amazing!!
But let's not forget also that last year it was all jam tomorrow. We had assay results away that where due back -oddly enough - in 6-7 weeks. We had dewatering permits on the go. And look how it went. By the sounds of it there are far more among our numbers who've been here longer and seen this pattern before.
Yes be optimistic. Absolutely. I have my fingers crossed and a nice whisky waiting. But I am not going to fire off numbers. I'm not saying it is ramping - I understand the excitement. And I am not deramping. This has a lot of potential. We just need to be reasonable. It is where it is. It can go either way rapidly as we have seen repeatedly. Truly we won't see big numbers I believe until we start properly extracting. Until then this is a yo yo and can go each way very easily. Just my thoughts and I respect others here.
