I have to agree with youTestpack regards the EV battery argument. PHE are pushing the Hydrogen front - that makes sense - but if your average car manufacturer goes for battery, it will put us on a back foot to an extent.
However, my understanding of the DMG process is it can also produce electricity. I am unsure of the numbers, but theoretically then it could charge batteries too?
Also though it seems a lot of bus companies are looking to use hydrogen, and - I am sorry I cannot remember the name - but recently a hydrogen vehicle producer called out Tesla after Elon Musk slated Hydrogen. They've challenged him on a rally that they believe they can complete without a refuel, when the Tesla vehicle would need recharged. If it goes ahead, it could offer at least a wider audience a chance to see hydrogen at work.
However, you may be right again. I mean regards EV. The best option may be to promote that we do also remove a LOT of waste. If all else fails, hopefully HGV etc will go hydrogen and we can have a niche market but one all the same? Even minimum level we could have a waste vehicle powered off hydrogen from DMG collecting waste, dropping it off and then refuelling. Almost self reliant. That is not the end game we wish for. But better than nothing.
