I think it is part of a bigger series of trades , time will tell. gla
well spotted Appleby - it is not being reported as part of normal volume as far as I can see as it was an OTC trade - we should see an RNS I just checked it out on London Stock exchange 13:47:06 08-Mar-2017 410.00 2,500,000 10,250,000.00 OTC Trade Immediate Publication
Second such trade in two days , someone is loading up.
No incorrect this was a trade at 13.47. Go to Hargreaves lansdown , go to pays page , on lower right hand side of pays page marked recent trades, click on trades by volume and it is the largest trade there.
Nope, my mistake. There is one there. Shown in black on HL.
I think he saw the uncrossing trade from last night.
????? Appelby - where are you seeing a 10m trade
Gone through then price jumps , all aboard all good .gla
Very reassuring to know buybacks to support 400 mark. Like GSmiley sold half before yesterday's trading update and then reinvested qtr below 400. Today knowing buy backs still in place and working to support 400 mark seems a no-brainer to invest other qtr (in my opinion, dyor). Now sit and hold until MA or dividends come along.GLA.
Programme clearly supports £4 mark Highest price paid per share: 400.0p
someone has been let in fairly cheap, be interesting to see if this repeats tomorrow.
Well done GSmiley - smash & grab!
Good conference call - seems JL is "fairly far down the runway" with a possible acquisition. He has over the course of Q&A also divulged that the aim is to do a $70-$100mn EBITA ( 1/3 size bolt on) deal and there is about $1bn firepower in the Balancesheet for Debt piece of acquisition. Hopefully they execute soon on the M&A - otherwise with planned double digit growth (21% achieved 2016); 30% margin ; only $280mn of debt and still only trading on a PE of 10 - PAYS itself looks highly suseptible to a bid IMHO
@BB - probably good timing I would think. I sold almost everything (always except SIPP) on Friday and placed a hopeful order at 400p which was filled this morning. That is the problem with this share, it is so predictable that it makes even a confirmed buy and hold merchant like me into a trader. Yuck, but the same holding plus nearly 7% in cash in just over two days is not to be sneezed at..... GL GS
Absolutely - in terms of growth- CMO+CIO+ 2 NED's with senior Technology, Pharma and Consumer Product knowledge - add credibility to PAYS offering with future partners yet to be announced - areas targetted for GOLO expansion of the "click and collect/deliver" product. I think it is just a matter of time.....
Yes, share price recovering swiftly as well.
Well it all looks pretty solid to me.
@wallyb - management had given the same guidance for 2016 of "low double digit organic growth" - in 2016 they actually achived 21% organic growth ( constant currency basis)
More significantly, although to a lesser degree, WPG got a hit too. I thought their results were pretty good too. Still, only goes to prove, buy on rumour, sell on news.
"Management expects to achieve low double digit organic revenue growth in FY2017." Anyone have any idea what this may be? For 2016, the constant currency year on year revenue growth was 21%. More of the same ???
It seems achievement isn't enough these days - surprise is the key - but SP will continue to rise over the coming months. We are not alone - exactly the same thing is happening to AHT this morning.
Already back up at 405p. Typical tree shaking.
I'm back in on a spread bet at 396 with a fairly tight stop loss. I expect to see the share buy back recommence at anything under 400. People are jittery about PAYS and rightly so given the history of rises and falls. A lot of stops will have been hit and the Bots react accordingly. As usual, given a few days, I expect the equilibrium to return and we should be back on track awaiting further positive news.
Some v negative stuff being written here and by people i suspect have shorted for the day. This company has produced excellent results, appear to be beefing up their board and readying themselves for another great year. Anyone who seriously thought they would release another big bit of news just to coincide with the anniversary of the last does not make sense to me. News gets released when negotiations have run their course. The share price will be back up some tomorrow if not before. In a couple of weeks it'll be back on the rise and i think there will be some good news in the next couple of months. We are now out of the closed period so may well see some director purchases any day now... anyway jmho Gla
Of the 480 million shares in circulation less than a million have been traded so far today. It's not even froth.
