This reaction is ridiculous. These results are stunning and puts us at a PE now under 8. What is this pressure you talk of to produce another big acquisition? Is big organic growth, deleveraging of debt, and share buyback not enough!!? People need to get back to reality and compare PAYS to the many unprofitable casino stocks floating about with bloated market caps.
Let the impatient people check out.
This is an unjustified drop so far. But this was my fear. so much hype on here and if that was an indication of the general mood, many bought in expecting to see a big jump upon results day for whatever reason. It hasn't come and now those investors are selling off. Hopefully, later in the day the more level-headed will see how good these results are and buy back in. A good example, though, of why the bull market needs a general correction. To rid it of the type of share buyer who thinks it is easy money very fast. It very rarely is. Lastly, I will be interested to see if PAYS start buying back today at any any point.
Same old same old PAYS. For the past 6 months this has been the laughing stock of FTSE250. Great Co with great future, but JL was under pressure to deliver something big. Hasn't happened. With no new news or div, its no surprise investors have got impatient and jumping ship. Only buybacks will keep this around 400 mark until something progresses. The shorters knew best.
As predicted by some on this bb there was and is no cause for excitement today. The results are as per the update of 12th Jan. There is no M&A news - it was was always absurd to think it would be timed to happen today. So if anything extra was priced in, it will now be priced out. The sp will reach new highs, just not today nor, in the absence of news (which is not hinted at today), will it happen any time very soon. GS

19% on a US$1bn turnover and net debt reduced by 35% to US$280 million - this company appears to be printing cash.
400p is a bargain price
There is a investor call to be hosted this afternoon.
Well, a bad start in very, very early trading when figures can be unreliable. Sizeable drop on 150,000 volume. Hopefully will move back but I hope this isn't the shorters moving in. If it is, then the markets stink because these results do not deserve to see the SP caned.
ps - if it drops below 400 - I'll be buying more.... GLA :)
Kihgrav - Yes ! This is a good, steady company though so I'm not bothered what the market does atm..... lot of good, level headed posters on this bb so I don't expect hysterics whatever happens..... GLA :)
Does the new evaluation kick in today ? If so, this should reinvigorate the bull rally we have been on ?
Was in another share recently(£3 share). Good RNS. Went 15p down, before finishing the day 30p up. Do we expect similar here?
If the market throws a wobbly on these results it makes itself look more like a casino than ever. No M&A or dividend action announced but the figures look very good. Fingers crossed that we will see a positive reaction this morning.
All positive - steady rise should continue - excellent news on revenue, profits and 250!!!
Agreed. Over the next few years this company has a lot going for it.
Nothing we didn't expect. Don't think we'll get the usual sell on the news, momentum should stay generally up?
Great figures that can only get stronger. Still a very low PE.
They look strong to me
Been thinking exactly the same thing. It's getting ridiculous now, great post mate
I didn't mean that post to come out twice, BTW...
I've chosen this post to reply to but it could have been most of the recent other ones. Honestly, i cannot believe much of what I read on here. A lot of posters make it sound like a big hike in the share price is like flicking a switch! Some can't sleep and some are as nervous as hell. What is that about? If you desire that kind of excitement and quick profit from an investment, back horses instead. One or two experienced posters believe we will see a big announcement tomorrow, while a smaller number think the results will be a damp squib. Yes, in its former guise of OPAY we did see the big leap when Skrill was announced but will lightening strike twice? On the other side of the coin, their last trading update said they were trading above expectations. Hence, I doubt the ful year figures will be a damp squib. That said, the market now has such high expectations they may well regard anything as disappointing. So, who can tell? But investing in shares is not backing horses and many PAYS punters here need to calm down a bit. I hope there Is something special tomorrow morning but I wil not be losing sleep waiting for it. This, I'm afraid, is what happens in a bull market. Too many people become involved looking for fast money. In this case I hope they are rewarded but let me repeat the below YET AGAIN.... The stock market is a vechile for transferring money from the impatient to the patient!!!!
