Just a general comment on brokers views. If you pick virtually any company and look at target sp at 12 months ago, today's prices rarely bear any resemblance and are often miles out. Brokers like the rest of us, have a useless crystal ball and any target price merely reflects what the current view of the relevant company is. Brokers tend in reality to think short term and hence underestimate where great companies will be in the future and likewise are doomongers with regard to companies, which are suffering a temporary blip. I find they rarely properly analyse the markets that the relevant companies are in. Pays will continue to do well, but there may well be blips along the way. When the sp hits 600p I don't know, but it will and not that far down the line, quite possibly well within 12 months.
This is Scothernman from ADVFN. I have always being intrigued as to why the 3 big fellas shorts in PAYS are not closing and taking the profit. I was looking for some reasonable explanation. I should say this explanation from "wolfhound" on ADVFN comes close to some logic. For reasons not known we cant see this message on that board including some I posted today. so for benefit of others I am pasting it here. Thanks Wolf Polythene said - Wolfhound. I don't know that they are naked shorts but they are still hanging out there. It may be correct in the end to 'ignore/not get hung up on them' but I am a worrier. If I was these cowboys and had big bucks at stake I would have a small army of hackers trying to breach data security. An announcement of this type is my biggest fear. AEK in particular had time to close at a profit but they seem to not be budging. As I said, I am a worrier. Wolfhound reply @Polythene - I don't think the shorters would dare do as you suggest - you can't spend money in prison !! That said I don't think the shorts are naked and here is my logic : 1. Possibly they are pair trading/ Risk Arb and long some other stock and short pays. Most likely they are expecting PAYS to be the acquiror of another co and they know the identity of that company - so they will gain either way. 2. They could be long in a sister fund B/C/D - but because of clever structuring they don't need to report/net their longs and shorts 3. Perhaps the short attack was actually designed so they could fill their boots of cheap PAYS stock acquired at bargain basement prices and now held in other sister funds - after all there was some 40mn shares traded on 13th - there were buyers as well as sellers. The two big buyers are GS and Nordea - both big players who have gone long and have added extra yield by lending to the shorters - but still they are long. What I do know is that the shorters only objective is profit - the maximum profit was to be had on the 13 December and it was very large - my educted assumption is that unless they cut an ran (one firm) - they the others deployed 1-3 above for the vast majority of their exposure. In the meantime it suits them to let others think they are still short so no one becomes wise as to how they operate. With buyback and M&A in the offing then if the reported shorts were real then we would have seen them close out if they were naked - my guess is they are not bothered because they are not naked.
eGamingServices Partners with Paysafe’s Income Access ********** Longs should be happy as all this is adding to the EPS going forward !!!! Don't sell after the results on 7th. Hold tight as the shorters will try to steal your shares.********** hxxps://calvinayre.com/2017/02/28/press-releases/egamingservices-partners-paysafes-income-access/
agreed - but I think we were discussing a new high which is 5%-10% above current sp The fact the analysts are suggesting the sp should be up 50% makes the 5-10% in the short term a very attainable result - IMHO - anyway not long to go til the 7th I see theyh just announced GOLO has officially launched in Montreal with rolls out planned for USA, UK and EU in due course.
But Can't achieve that by next week. Thats a 50% rise on todays price. Maybe in a few months ?
oops typo; should read 610p not 650p....my bad
PAYS traades on a PE of 10.8 at current sp ; a move up to 480p+ would still put in on a PE of sub 11 - not that big a challenge; hence why target prices of Analysts are up at 650p.........
What does techie see from the charts?
Which would mean getting past 480p? Seems a tall ask.
IMHO all indicators are pointing to new highs ahead of the 7th
You're quite right. Knew it was March 7, miscalculated the weeks! Still todays action positive for a end of week 440
looks ready to pop any time now
It's a week tomorrow
It must be coming. Only 2 weeks to results day !!!
The purchasing has appeared to have stopped, still rising at a nice steady rate however. GLA.
the 50D MAVG ( currently at about 380p) will need to cross over the 200DMAVG ( 401p) Good news is the influence of the 13th December ( sp of 305p) is about to drop out of the 50 MAVG( day 49) and sp trend post 13th was upward - so by default the 50DMAVG should now trend northwards ( assuming current sp holds its own)
What price do we need to crossover the 200day average?
We had the 20 DAVG crossing the 50DAVG one month ago and now we are wisker shy of the 20DAVG crossing the 200DAVG with the 50DAVG just behind it !! nice lead into the publishing of final ye results in less than 2 weeks !!
looks like I was partly right - we seems we are now going to use the Skrill and Neteller brands as distribution vehicles for product.....or at least that is my read of it....interesting when you think of the FANS and Income Access additions.......
We will know very soon - PAYS is presenting at ABTA conference tomorrow - perhaps it is some form of FX deal for holidaymakers - preferential rates relative to high street banks ( massive bid-ask spread on retail punters)
Great! I only got back in cos I didn't wanna miss out lol oh well March 7th is only around 2 weeks away :)
I hope I'm wrong but I doubt this 'big announcement' will be any corporate news. Having looked at the Twitter feeds for Skrill and Neteller, I'd bet that this will simply be some new way that Skrill and Netleller can be used to make payments. Will such an announcement push the SP up? Well, if Skrill or Neteeler have signed some deal which would enable their respective payment methods to be used in a huge amount more places it might but personally I doubt it. Sadly, this is a drawback to online forums. People become excited about nothing. If PAYS was announcing anything corporate wise, I doubt they would use Skrill or Netller to do it. I hope I'm wrong and we see a big jump some point tomorrow but I am not holding my breath in this instance.
Does anyone have an inkling as to what the big news might be?
Back in :)
Looks to be coming from the man in Miami - Lorenzo Pelligrino - could be interesting
