AEK short reduction on the 13th from 2.61% to 2.26% - probably connected with the large OTC trade on 13th - so your theory might well be right appleby that it was connected to a larger purpose
Nice website bonker99 , strangely you are covering 5 shares I am tracking or trading from a totally different trading method . gla
thanks bonker. Im just starting to learn more about charting and your site is brilliant
1. We are now on $1bn of sales - we have now joined the big leagues. 2. IC: Analysts at UBS forecast adjusted EPS of 51¢ in 2017, up from 43¢ in 2016. - that is 18.5% growth YOY ( I feel an upward revision in qtr 1 trading update) !! PAYS trades on a forward PE of 10 - to 18 for UK peers and 30 for USA peers 3. Acquisition "well down the runway" - $70-$100 mn EBITDA and capacity of $1bn debt funding 4. Some serious new senior mngt and NED added - expansion push in 2017 GLA
Strong buying into close on a Friday - intriguing, feels like someone wanted to make sure they were in the boat - wonder if we might see an RNS/news early part of next week ? Nice weekend and GLA
4.48 now
looks like 500mn shares in the past 20 mins have gone through - at least on google finance - now 446.9 my guess is that it not so much volume but who is buying I think we may breach 450p into close
Wolfhound, you see any big trades?
Has the look anf feel of news coming - someone wants in before the weekend - only 30 mins left and we hit 444.5p
maybe 500 in next few weeks.
Just reached 440p, let's see if could hold on to it till the end of the session.
Boom... looking good to move to new highs in coming weeks
pleasure sheepy - glad the link was helpful
@wolfhound thank you for enlightenment. Regards.
you are still a legend at trading this GS - you can't deny it !! Nice chunky position sir, I am also running a chunky position dating back to 2009 so I appreciate your perspective and your call - we all need to do what is right in terms of the risk profile - and you have been doing just that on the trading - so v. well done !!
sheepy - no worries, it seems HL use the statuatory EPS of 29cent rather than the fully diluted EPS - hence why they have a PE of 17 have a look at this link to edison research - you will see Forward PE for 2017 calculated is 11 ( I go with 10 because Edison use 10% YOY growth, and as noted on conf call - PAYS is actually running up 20% YOY again this yr - so PE of 10 seems reasonable to me when sp was at 400p which is where Buy Backs will kick in so I am working to worst case sp ) http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch.com/research/company/Paysafe-Group#js Personally I would use fully diluted EPS of 42 cent rather than the statuatory EPS ( includes non cash accounting items)
@Wolf - thanks but undeserved this time. I have tried to keep my PAYS investment profits in PAYS when it feels like rising and I have scrambled to get them out when it looks like falling. Selling before the results this time was a no brainer to me because it looked like a racing certainty that there would be no new news on the day. When expectations are high that equates to bad news. Although my holding is down from its mid December peak I still have over 30,000 shares here. That translated into more risk than I was prepared to face even though I am utterly convinced we have to see either a rerate, or an acquisition or a takeover. Any one of those three outcomes should mean a real uplift in sp (I am a 500p+ man) and I am all up for that. But trading around the results was more cowardice than anything else as I was scared of the mm's playing up, stops losses being triggered and the shorts (still here of course) doing that thing they do. BB called it almost exactly right - yet again, I just waited until it really looked as if the sp had bottomed and bounced. It will probably be down tomorrow but I liked the buyback around 400. That makes it tough to short from here and little fluctuations are OK for me. GLA GS
Ok then, so if JL predicts low double digit growth for 2017 why it get forward reading P/E 10? I'm baffled here.
@Sheepy - probably true where a small number of investors are not aware that investment is based on forward PE(2017 - PE of 10) whereas websites like HL publish historic ( 2016 : PE of 17).
Few days ago some people on this board stated that PAYS was traded at P/E of 10, but on HL site it shows today 17 ish. Could be another reason why some have sold.
Probably a host of reasons : No M&A announced yet, profit taking ( 13th Dec buyers) , some trading it ( like GS - well done once again - legend), some pi's just panic sell, MM tree shake, etc......... that said volumes were relatively light . important thing for me is that we bounced off support at 400p and back into upwaard channel and looking bullish IMHO As Appelby spotted someone is buying big in the OTC market - that argues well
Why did it go down on yesterday's results though?
Looks like a very bullish candle formed today - argues well for upward momentum
Some good comment posted yesterday in IC.
