Yes and if I hadn't bought last week I probably would be now and wait hopefully for the bounce.
We are completely in the dark - as usual.
Hope the hangover was worth it!
Out for the first time for a while tonight with a few friends so good job the market is closed tomorrow!
Would make you wonder if the recent sp has been manipulated at the expense of the pi’s to allow certain investors to buy into this new issue at a cheap price? On the plus side this is perhaps only a temporary blip! All very complicated.
Slightly hungover this morning. Seems to be scant on detail and overly complicated. One thing for sure is Oxb would make a great boat….it never leaks!
Steve
You have asked the question I was going to.
There are no details that I can see about the price or the terms e.g. 1 for every 3 held .
Also (and I realise this is only a personal preference) I don't like Primary Bid. Why couldn't it have been a simple rights issue for existing pis? This overcomplicates the whole thing but until we get a price and terms I have no idea what it means. Clearly the market doesn't like it as down we go.
I am beginning to think that OXB doesn't want us pis although we were the ones that funded it and kept it going in the early days. IIs now the route for them imho so I will be looking to exit (despite having bought last week before the latest fall) as soon as I can. Disillusioned I am afraid
Does anyone have an opinion on the primary bid offer? Is this a good company? The SP is down but there's no details on what price the placing will be at

I think the recent fall here has caught many of us on the hop. My portfolio is down but saved by banking stocks but my Baillie Gifford and Legal and Generals funds have taken a real hit. Was close to selling some Aviva ( biggest holding)on Monday and banking some profit but managed to sit on my hands luckily as it is heading back towards its year high.
Kern, your recent buy could seem like good value in a few months. Keep well.
After banks I should of put “now” :-)
I personally wouldn’t touch any shares unless it’s banks till about 1 to 2 weeks after the interest rates go up. Hope both you and shatter are well. Things will turn but it’s a matter now of how long it will take. :-)
Hi kern, I was just lucky as well as I decided to change my broker to AJBell so sold most of my funds that were in profit so that the transfer would go through quicker . How these robbers get away with holding onto your money ie funds and shares for up to 6 weeks is beyond me.
Good to hear from you again SK1. Hope all is well.
I am obviously not as foresightful as you but my luck may change!
Which ever one comes first at raising interest rates will send equities down so I’m sitting on the fence for now waiting then I will be buying Oxford at about 770 I think . Never thought we would see 7 to 8 again. Also Oxford nano and add to gsk. Exciting times ,as I was lucky enough to sell most of my funds and shares about 6 weeks ago so have my war chest ready. :-)
Hi Shatter
Hopefully this is the bottom. You did well to get out at £10. I shouldn't have bought but hey ho.
The problem is I can't see what will drive a significant recovery - but as I couldn't see what drove this very significant fall - I am not surprised. However it seems no one else can either on this board and the BOD aren't going to help that's for sure. One of my other large ones (Fres) has just crashed as well and with GGP down from 38 to about 13 my retirement is not looking as comfortable as it once was.
You pays your money....
Looking at the chart, the RSI index is showing this very oversold. The last time it was this low, in the middle of December, it rallied from 1041 to 1279. Looks like a strong buy signal.
Let's just hope it doesn't bomb on Friday like it usually does.
Is this the start of a recovery or just a couple of good days? Answers on a postcard.
Solid company.
What news?Anyone?
Oxb is just one of the pharma that has taken a nosedive recently. Was always volatile but agree this is taking the biscuit. Unless Oxb get a contract in some form there will be no news and definitely no comment on the price drop. Just when the COVID news is looking a little brighter Putin puts his penny in. Sure it’s only money. :-(
Although the markets have taken an extreme hammering today, with the threat of Russia invading Ukraine, It would be good to get some sort of news, preferably positive from OXB, considering the fall from £16.40 to our current price. Any thoughts anyone? GLA
The perfect storm…maybe a good time to derisk? Hovering over the sell button on some of my larger holdings but having taken years to get them into an isa finding it difficult to sell some. Decisions ,decisions.
Hi Kern
General market sentiment seems to be in the doldrums, especially America, which the Ftse seems to mirror. It’s just how long it lasts ? Didn’t ever think I would be selling Oxb sub £10.00. Have some banks which I am happy to hold but we could be in for a rough month or two…Went out for lunch and half expected Oxb to have risen after my sale :-)
Well done. I got my timing completely wrong here but I just couldn't see any justification for a further fall. Shows what I know. We are heading back to pre consolidation worth which is extraordinary given the change in circumstances.
Have to hang in there now which is the same for many of my other shares. Lets hope Russia doesn't invade Ukraine over the weekend or it will be decimation on Monday
Just sold a few this morning. Hangover fingers! A profit is a profit. The stock market doesn’t look like it is going to reverse its fortunes anytime soon…gl all
The drop seems to be widespread across pharma and technologies too name but two. I am invested in various funds covering almost everything in Europe and America and they have been decimated since the beginning of the year.
It’s just how long this drop is going to continue for? The vodka helps but not great on cornflakes.
Correction.
Replace Blackrock Sp. sits with M&G Recovery fund. Apologies, too many tabs open.
