I've think I've answered the question. It was Cooperman. Doesn't matter though, Woodford and Invesco have taken a real pasting today on PFG, it's gone from over £30 down to about £6 in 12months, and down about £12 just in todays trading. Almost as bad as monitise!!!. Just goes to show, never take any broker recommendations at face value..lol.They won't be drinking too much champagne tonight. Mind you some of the shorts have made £20million in less than a week according to the news reports.
I see that Woodford assett management (former Moni shareholder?) and Invesco got their fingers well and truly scorched today on PFG. News reports say they are the 2 largest shareholders. It's satisfying to see even the really big boys fcuk things up...lol
"As customers take to online banking in droves"
Stew I did open by stating it was MY personal(ly) [sic) opinion. Matlock, if that makes me a "knob" then so be it - I am entitled to MY opinion. It's a NO from me. Peace and good afternoon to you chaps/chapesses
Sorry, but can anyone help... can't find the "report a knob" button?
so if you had say 10m shares or 300k worth of stock you would rather take nothing (which is what some people want) and LC reputation get tarnished. The naivety here is insane. Just expect the offer and move on. In the world of aim this happens. Anyone buying below 2p in quantity will be making a very nice profit. I am nearly completely out here from a tidy profit at mid 2p averages. GLA
Here, here Funksoul. If I hadn't purchased these shares and followed this board everyday, I wouldn't have believed it would be possible for these people to do what they have done to us all. 70% loss at the moment. Crippling.
Personally opinion here- I would rather this get voted out and, whatever happens to MONI, LC's reputation (as with the rest of the BoD) is tarnished for good than sell out for 3.1p N N OOOOO NN N O O N N N O O N N N OOOOO
I do not disagree on your statements but merely stating that because of their bid based on their research there should not be some huge drop once this gets voted down. Some will sell, bc they played on that margin move.
" Fiserv did their due diligence on valuing the company " This company is not possible to value by due diligence ! I expect Fiserv used some fancy company to do their due diligence and paid them a fancy fee for the privilege ! A floor is certainly established ,but the value of the company is far greater IMHO !
Keep in mind due to the fact Fiserv did their "due diligence" on valuing the company that a "floor" is somewhat established in the price. The selling would be from the so called "experts" who tried to pinch 3% out of a short trade on the current pricing to the 3.1 And they deserver to lose.
K3 Thanks for that response, from which I deduce that in the absence of another corporate body then, we, the revolting masses, must vote NO
Last trade shown 6,868,500 (£203k)
When is the vote, although I've bailed out at 3.0p still keen to see how this plays out. I just hope That I didn't bail too soon. GLA still holding on.
Isn't it amazing that Fiserv made an offer starting from scratch with not a single share call their own? A 75% doubtful reach of a 8.3 majority is unlikely to simply sell on. Imho. Given a NO and thus a plummeting consider a final sell off its units and liquidation.
Yes and no, Plummeting to 1.54 thereabouts ( my gut say -48%) 2 ways ..... sell now wait for plummeting then buy (option) but they might buy off you and say yes at very last min then potentially the yes will able achieve. Hold and price will plummeting...... still hold and find out if wise to hold on or foolish. Hold from me.
The numbers are not there. I don't believe have 75%. Does it return to 2.3 pence immediately?
dolcoath, my business was IT and a large proportion of it was in banking. That isn't the problem here. The problem is opportunism by individuals and corporate bodies. The only counter to this is another corporate body, or a mass shareholder revolt. I will be losing a five figure sum, as things stand, but that expensive lesson will teach me never again to invest in a company where the BOD has not invested extensively, because that makes it far too easy to further their own interests, regardless of the damage they cause to investors. Luckily, I have a couple of those in my pf. Best wishes to all here. Well, with the obvious exceptions.
They ended it. There was one sentence stating it buried in one of the annual reports.
Talking of AL. I wonder what happened to the 20 million joint venture with Santander, headed by AL. http://www.santander.co.uk/uk/infodetail?p_p_id=W000_hidden_WAR_W000_hiddenportlet&p_p_lifecycle=1&p_p_state=normal&p_p_mode=view&p_p_col_id=column-2&p_p_col_pos=1&p_p_col_count=3&_W000_hidden_WAR_W000_hiddenportlet_javax.portlet.action=hiddenAction&_W000_hidden_WAR_W000_hiddenportlet_base.portlet.view=ILBDInitialView&_W000_hidden_WAR_W000_hiddenportlet_cid=1324581579908&_W000_hidden_WAR_W000_hiddenportlet_tipo=SANContent
Won't speak for k3 but everyone should be voting NO. Watch what happens when we stand together. Remember we only need >25% to vote NO. Once we do that together, then we have more options on what to do next.
Mr K3VMC, with your evident knowledge and experience in relation to banking etc. can you not suggest a course of action, even at this eleventh hour? (aside from simply voting 'no', which most probably will carry no weight) The most recent postings on this bb, underline the fact that we are getting a right-royal-screwing. In your opinion, is there no option but to lie back and say 'thank you'? I've been here, on and off, since the days when AL declared that our patents would lead to a big global presence. Hindsight tells us that the time to leave, was when AL stepped back, (with full pockets)
Apple Bank has a nice ring to it?
can't we sue the whole management especially LC for destroying monitise and wasting shareholders money, we should claim millions back just like RBS shareholders sue fred the shred, and claiming millions back to rbs shareholders
The little grey cells are diminishing by the day, despite a Ketogenic diet ! Nevertheless ,I still remember and will never forget " CLAIM 2 ". Yep ! We own that patent ! http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=3&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PTXT&s1=Monitise&OS=Monitise&RS=Monitise
