I don't understand why people are selling.
If the Mongolian government doesn't give LP, they can forget attracting foreign investors.
The whole world including western counties need foreign investment.
More dollars in reserves means stronger the currency .
Stroger the currency gives more buying power .
More buying power means good for consumers.
Consumerism means better economy.
Simple economics.
"If the Mongolian government doesn't give LP, they can forget attracting foreign investors."
Maybe they (the majority of Mongols) don't want to attract foreign investment and like their country just as it is.
Yeah but Doc (assuming you are correct - none of us know the wishes of the majority of the Mongolian people) … it’s the government that want investment and the government awarding special certificate.
So….. your argument about the people (a massive assumption) means nothing.
Talking like an idiot again Doc.
Why would they go million miles away for exhibition to promote Mongolia for exploration.
And meet different country members on weekly bases.
Why don't you do some research before you open your backside where thìs smell is coming from. .
What do we smell here Doc Shiit
Its not panic its cutting losses. The longer the wait is for permission, the lower this will drop. Simple. Either hold/top up and average down.. or sell up, miss a bit of the first rally and jump in when you know its not tickertape you are holding.. imo dyor etc
Maybe they've looked at the hugely rich Arabian oil states & don't really like what they see. Happy to keep things small scale.
Yes BP - and that’s why they are actively encouraging investment.
So it doesn’t happen and to stay small scale.
LOL
Some talk nonsense here.
Who doesn't want to be rich. .
Even the rich wants to be richer that's 2by You are all here . Humans are greedy that just the way we are made.
DOC why don't you look in to how many foreign companies work in Mongolia.
Must admit i am beginning to come to conclusion that the MG want the investment but are quite prepared to delay things until the refinery is ready rather than have it all rush out of the door into the hands of the Chinese. hence the delaying tactics. Just hope i am wrong.
This nonsense abouy waiting for the refinery to open to grant the special land use. Do you think they will be happy to open it with 500bpd from Heron 1.
There is no reason they can count on Petro China's oil which is currently crossing the border.
They need oil for a refinery that has a 30k capacity it is just common sense for them to allow us to build out production up.
Master82 - you seem to have taken a page out of iamrich’s foul mouthed vocabulary. You’re better than that scumbag of a chav, don’t lower your standards.
Regarding the Mongols, the people vote in the government. The government clearly want them on side, so is it so hard to believe this could drag on a long time yet if the government decide they’d rather the local people be ok with it and try to mediate?
The locals might have already passed the LP, none of us know as Buck doesn't communicate with us investors. Imagine what the SP would be if he put out a RNS to state locals have passed the LP, just now waiting on Central Government.
What people need to understand is meetings have only starting taking place . In month of march and April.
Give it luttle time . Its mongolia
Exactly Doz!
I've been thinking about this. Ive not seen any news about the outcome of the local vote and therefore don't accept WOSs view that the local LP decision has been considered, rejected but not reported.
I think it's still very much a live issue.
And it would be the best result if the locals have agreed. Politicians would be very happy.
The MG are in uncharted territory. Overruling local government on what is clearly a very sensitive issue for said locals… I don’t think it’s as clear as the central government just overruling.
But I sincerely hope I am wrong and master et al are all right. Hell, I could do with a winner for a change!
I have always said MB is a slacker. We need a guy who is active.
If anyone has watched "The Founder" they will realise folk with determination make the most money not the people with ideas.
Money is made by confident and persistent people not by take it easy it will happen when it happens
Ref the local vote, this was the first post from the one activist prior to the 16th meeting that recently took.place.

Doz that's what I was telling everyone. That the male activist mentioned PM were going going to be discussed at the meeting.
He is a friend with one of the representative.
The representative is anti PC and PM.
I can't see what other land issue they were going to vote on in thet meeting.
Plus if you look at the meeting that took about a month ago where they were reviewing the land issue which they voted against in 2022.
If you connect all the dots which I have you will realise it was to do with PM.
This was the post by the woman activist after the 16th meeting

Master I know, but as I mentioned if the vote has taken place and passed then Buck should be telling us investors. His communication and I believe contempt for private investors is appalling.
Dec RNS ‘Meetings held at the Matad district and Dornod provincial levels of citizens' committees resulted in voting that did not to support the central government's certification proposal. ’
No mention of the LP, and there has been no mention of the LP just the special certification by central government.
Maybe the LP is still in play, but I don’t see it working for us.
Which regards comments about the central government wanting to please the people of the country. If half the population live in the capital they won’t care about a local issue in MATAD province. Same with many other people that don’t live in MATAD province, they won’t care much either.
