Looks like everyone is taking a well deserved break this morning.
Slackers!
The main question in this current situation is WHY are the locals opposing PM . There must be a reason. And nothing to do with environment because PC and other mining companies are operating in matad soum.
The second Question is why is the government so helpless in making decisions in Matad sum.
The 3rd is, why is MB hiding in Singapore and not coming to Mongolia, where he is appointed as the CEO of a company operating in Mongolia.
Question no 4 : Why is master82 such a pathetic drama queen ?
Why Because we have been waiting for 5 years to sort land access. Which is self inflicted by our great CEO.
Looks some freshers have turned up.
According to Hamm, MB is in Mongolia on a “mission” and that means everything will be OK.
I do not agree a lot with what Master82 says and i think he has a bit of hang up about what MB did in Mongolia 5 years ago. But he has raised today some very good questions one of which for the first time i checked out of google. And if he is right that MB is spending most of his time in Singapore and it would be good to know for sure then we need a new CEO, I had not realised that Mongolia is 5180km from Singapore and is 9hr 35 minute flight if direct but most need a change. Until now it never crossed my mind how far away it was. The other questions as to why locals are so against us when PC are drilling and messing up everything around them and why the government are not being more directly assertive over this issue. I think these are good questions that need to be answered and i really would like to know how much time MB does spend in Mongolia and it would be nice to know how much of the language he can speak and understand. when he is not there i am assuming that Petrovis are the point people and i would like to know how much of an active part they play and are playing in all of this. If MB is flying back and forth to Singapore then i think we deserve to know who is running or managing the shop in his absence.
From memory I think master was quite "pro" in the past but seems to have undergone a radical transformation (like Hamm but the opposite way). It's just frustration I guess.
Master82, I am sure you already know the answers to your questions well. However, I want express my opinion for others, especially for newbies. All this happened because investing in Mongolia is almost the same as investing in criminal Russia. I guessed about this, but I turned out to be naive, believing in this high-calibre swindler - CEO, who, during a meeting with investors, managed to convince us not only that it was very similar to the truth, that is, that very large oil fields could be hidden in the Gobi Desert . But it is also that the company enjoys enormous support from the Mongolian government, since it is vitally interested in developing its own oil industry in order to overcome dependence on Russia. And it was with his second lie that this swindler managed to draw me (and I am sure that not only me, but also many others, repeating this lie constantly) into his dirty game, which he plays together with Mongolian corrupt officials of various levels.
The root of our problem is MB. Do your research and you will realise who is responsible for the current situation.
It's frustrating because the real problems are not being delt with fast.
How can you run a company from million miles away and except things to just fall in to place.
The last time I had glimpse of MB being in Mongolia was when he was in 2019.
He has not got Jv agreement
He has not got the LP
He has no agreement with PC for using facilities.
This has been dragging on for years.
If anything positive came out of the local meeting on Friday I would expect an RNS tomorrow - but I'm not holding my breath.
If RNS come then good. If no then no problem can expect very soon. Relax or do not hold & look somewhere else 😏
My holding all secure 🦉😊🚀
Even if the locals finally play ball, I’m nervous on DQE messing us around, despite the MG supposedly assisting with negotiations. Let’s just hope this all gets sorted ASAP… it really is all very fishy.
I don't think Dqe will mess around. They are getting a good deal.
Oil found and very close to infustucture.
The only problem we have is a company run without a competent leader.
The people who are loose are the investors. MB and Co will getvpaid no matter what happens.
Mr Mike Buck say DQE approach them not other way round. Nothing suggest messing around so will not pluck out of air if nothing suggest this.
If happen then happen but nothing show this is case. If they did Petro Matad carry on field development still with production revenue but not at such fast pace as DQE.
Will still be move from Explorer to Producer with share price multiple of now but all advantage for DQE also in partnership & why they still there.
Buy or not 😏
Mike Buck is a geologist. He has found oil which is great but I become less confident in his management of this company as time moves on. He is most definitely not a conman, he just appears to not have the arrogance to take the bull by the horns and make things happen.
It is only due to the fact that the man has invested heavily with his own money that I continue to remain a loyal and patient investor in this company.
He does have close to 11 million shares at an average of over 3p per share so I remain invested. Why would a CEO buy so many shares at such a cost if the investment wasn’t worthwhile. It’s either worth it or he is an idiot. I’m going with worth it.
D1nger you come across as a genuine person with knowledge of the company to back up your posts. Thornogson also posts sensibly giving valid reasons behind his posts whereas others on here seem desperate either to get in at a lower price or to get what they think will give them a quick profit as if its their god given right, posting incessantly its someone else's fault that they're not making money quickly enough ! If it was that easy we'd all be multi millionaires.... Mike Buck has created this situation He found oil ! and he's had difficulties since but there's light at the end of the tunnel ... bit of patience as you say.
Anyone new here should read the D1nger and Thornogson posts ( as well as doing own research ) and not those of crazy person who posted earlier tonight with his conspiracy theories !
So Geo61 WAS iamrich - simples! Wonder why he felt it necessary to change his name.
I agree with DIringer that MB may have found the oil but is not the right man to lead us forward. But not right now. There is a real danger we try and oust MB now and we would throw out the baby with the bath water and we would be back to square one. Wait and you will be rewarded. Get rid of CEO we might lose the government backing and we might just discover new obstacles in the way. On top of which the sP would tank short term. Sit patiently and hopefully it will come in next couple of weeks. This is not the time to be changing skipper.
No CEO is perfect. Only MB knows why he made the decisions he did. Now is not the time to quarrel and oust MB. Now is the time to get Heron online asap. It seems to me as something is brewing in the background. We could be close to producing. Hold tight for now. If nothing this year then it will be time for MB to face the music and handover the reins.
We all said same thing last year. Still no oil.
Just ask the question why are the locals opposing. The answer is MB.
No one is playing any games. Just fact check the situation we are in.
Been stuck here for 5 years with same old story every year
Real concerns about due process in Mongolia and the logic behind blocking investors from progress which can only damage the country's reputation as a safe place to do business in.
Has MB damaged the reputation and ability to function in Mongolia? Is this now a personal issue as some are suggesting?
I hope not and fingers crossed everything will click into place with LP issued and new blocks announced and new energy company confirmed. There seems to be a lot happening on many fronts with no news or positive updates, suggesting that issues may run quite deep here....
