You've spent shouting at 'mad dogs' who thought Petro Matad was rubbish and then you changed your mind and have spent your time shouting at Petro Matad supporters.
You now want to shout at the Mongolian authorities.
My opinion?
You shout too much.
Now we no longer need to make just noise, but start shouting deafeningly all over the world how Mongolian authorities have been openly and brazenly stealing money from foreign investors for more than decade.
And this should be done not by us only, but by the MB and its BOD first of all. And this must be done not just through direct and constant pressure on the arrogant governor or MG, but through the use of the world's mass media too. It's time for Mike to give interviews not to LSE, but BBC, Financial Times and other world publishing houses.
PM and all investors can't no longer remain silent when we are facing a real danger of wasting everything, both our money and that priceless time that will be irretrievably lost.
Thornogson, that day is quite possible i think. MG related stocks have strange historical patterns. Few years ago, i gave a up 975 (a coal company) stock at HKG exchange. A week later it did 10x in just 2 weeks. Today the valuation of the company is 30x from that price. It was a zombie stock for years and suddenly boom. The thing is we have to be well prepared for that judgement day. It is just like Jesus coming back as a thief. :-))))
It's the quiet before the storm.
It'll be a news vacuum until the glorious day that shall forever be referred to as 'Red Dot Day'.
The day patient shareholders are showered with untold riches and happiness thanks to the Committee of Matad Sum.
The moment you stopped being an idiot Ojay was the moment Petro Matad found oil.
Since then you'd have been an idiot to have done anything else other than hold and wait.
Nearly there?
You used to always finish with: 'In Matad we trust!'
Might I suggest 'It is supported!' as an alternative?
I lost faith , it is why i have sold and invested elsewhere, still have small holding but more for hope than expectations
//Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity//
Used to be remarkable when the number of BB posts equalled the number of trades.
Getting the point of 10 times now !!!!!!!!!!
Nevermind found it
You are a real veteran, Ojay. i also belive this will finally come good however I have already started thinking i am an idiot investing in this scam company. for so long. Shall we see the light at the end of the tunnel? Fingers crossed.
Is there a way to see sales of large amounts which happened last week before the RNS.
LondonSuede: Would be nice if "making noise" would help.
After being invested in PM for more than 14 years (I had my chances!) I am no longer in a moaning mode. The situation with PM is incredibly disappointing - no question. I keep believing this will finally come good (and hope I am not an idiot while doing so).
ATB
Well done Master. We better make some noises. Thanks for your efforts on behalf of the investors. Also great response to the MG PM and DC tweets on X. Our case should be escalated to the highest level possible. We are still in the exactly same placee after looong fooking 5 years. Our patience is not rewarding us but punishing us year after year which is really unacceptable.
Glory to LTH and real Matadors.
If anyone is interested in a deep dive into the sociopolitical cintext of Mining didputes and resolution in Mongolia, this academic paper is insightful.

And talking of Soum governance, I think I read somewhere that decisions are publicised for a period. Part of way they "do" local politics in Mongolia.
Hopefully this is the reason for the current timeline (i.e. its standard procedure).
Master - I'm really not knocking you. You're trying to deal with someone using Google translate or who doesn't understand English.
I think (nearly) all of us want the same thing here. I'm still 50/50 after the AGM because while it was positive to hear that our cash position and burn is better than I expected and MB put in a good performance, there's no getting away from the fact that we still cannot begin operations at Heron and the Mongolians appear to be frustrating the process (not just that pesky Provincial governor).
Investor, regarding "agencies" and what that means.
Going back over MBs commentary, I note that it was the Matad Citizens' Representative Committee that voted in favour of granting the LP to PM.
Im guessing the committee is an important sub group of the Matad Soum governance and the "agencies" referred to means it is being formalised by executives within the soum structure.
Yes Doc: "...leave it [to / the] MB and the BoD..."
Good to hear that you actually trust in MB and the BoD. I generally support that proposal - anything that gets us closer to the ultimate goal is fine with me.
Monday 6th May - London Stock Exchange holiday.
My opinion only - Petro Matad Sum will get Local Permission LP before Election because after Central Govt will just order provincial governor.
Look like local Sum still on board for Petro Matad (and did not expect any different with so much 'benefits) so let us see.
🦉
Oh well . You can never please everyone.
I'm genuinely not knocking the effort, but I found that conversation a bit cringeworthy. "Who are you... how did you find me?"... "we will make sure PM help the locals..." (like we have much influence).
I'm with Aeschylus and BP, let's be careful and maybe do leave it the MB and the BoD. After the AGM, I think we can safely say they are doing all they can. It's really up to the Mongolians now.
On Peter Hitchens, no reply as yet but will leave it till next week to chase up as I only first attempted yesterday afternoon.
Unless Doc is successful in getting a response from Peter Hitchens regarding the post soum vote timeline to receipt of signed formalities, then that really is all the news flow we're going to get for now.
Imo its been a good week for settling the nerves.
Activists bombard the politicians coming to conference in Matad soum. No mention of PM. Just going on about PC.
The District administrator was there too. He was messaging from the conference.
All looking good so far. Just need the RNS with the approval
BP ; Ok - fair enough.
Researchandhold said //BP is like a stain on humanity//
//BP ; when you say ' it's what we pay them for ' are you invested ??//
As mentioned before - been in and out for a couple of years. Currently a small holding - about 5% of my total holdings. Not worth risking more. IMV
On a less serious note, master seems like a lot of effort put in to just invest a dollar (and I am only kidding when I say that) Google translate is definitely not the best 😁 I often find that taking a snapshot of the dialogue on the page you want to translate and run it through Google lens also let's you listen to the translation in english. Hope this helps. GLA
