Every day the news is getting drierier than the weather I am holding in the sweep until I can come back in. I do not feel it fair giving an impression on price to disappoint so many others that have invested their hard earned cash at the moment.
I will be back but I am waiting for events to further unfold.
Well done for all those invested on the rise over the last few days.
Technically every post has an agenda, including yours - So WHO is bang on the money there. As for any relevance, I’m failing to see it. Good morning
Plus some of the long term ones hehhehehe - shame everyone cant be honest like me -- but thats life...

I read that this morning and thought it was encouraging yet it still points to fact that RF has firmly got a grip on this brewery business. I guess the jobs cuts were already envisaged in an agreement part of the JV where duplication of duties overlaps. You also have to think bigger picture also....RF is nearing 60, whilst still young in the eyes of HMRC he may want to cash his chips in within the next couple of years and enjoy his retirement before handing over 100% to carlsberg IMO..... (I do think a HOLD/BUY) is the only option at present.
It is too long to post & is behind a paywall but you can usually get a free trial with the Times, then go to business, then more business and at the bottom there is an article headlined follow tech stocks the 1st article is about Polar Capital tech trust as a hold then the next article is Marstons.
Times is behind a paywall. Can you please post the text, if possible? Thx.

You got a link for this mate? You also think the 7% rise is due to this? TIA

That is why I said "deep enough", the problem I think, is that in 2016 ago when I asked the company if they were going to take advantage of the lower interest rates by refinancing their existing debt, Mr Findlay responded saying that it would not be possible as they were apparently using a securitised type of loan which got them a lower rate at the time of taking it on, which would be v difficult to refinance advantageously. Also that this particular debt was out to 2035 & worth £853mill. Given where we are with interest rates currently my guess is if they could have refinanced they would have done by now, I suspect they must have a collar of some sort on this securitised debt.
Certainly with the SP down here it is nothing like the problem it was 4 years ago with the price£1 higher then.
I hope this helps. It must be said that RF was extremely swift & open with his answer so it gave me a good impression of his managerial abilities.
At the same time however, he did dig deep enough. “ The freehold estate won’t be worth the £2.2bn at which it was valued in 2018, but borrowings should still be comfortably backed by assets.” With this in mind, + the JV with cash consideration, our present MC is undervalued.

This is the article I posted about yesterday, positive but not massively enthusiastic, which I guess makes it a pretty fair piece of journalism. What he did not do was too dig down into the debt question, which has been MARS real issue, imho.
Nevertheless it is good to read a piece like this, especially compared to 'Spoons media coverage !
Such an emotional board, cannot make sense of the bickering. Any more predictions on the JV RNS date ?
Lets see if the SFO ignore matters related to Marstons. Anyone who has insiders as you claimed are investigated.
The next knock at door, " hello hello".
Where do you prefer Supercharger , Broadmoor or Winson Green. You have choice. Free meals and unlimited Internet access!!!

He most certainly is enjoying a seeing to !
There is a write up, positive but not massively enthusiastic, in the Grauniad today by Nils Pratley on Mars. Makes some fair points but does not dig down too far into the debt question.
Worth a read though, certainly his facts are more accurate than the Elon Musk of the board.....
