Nothing wrong here try buy more over the next month if you can, we cheap as chips, if not hold firm and just pick up the Dividends here
UK PLC shares just unloved due to the mess our politicians are about to put us in
Only time will tell here, I been here a few times now, so an old sea dog, Lloyds below 70p is cheap IMHO
SO
Below 50p she's going to be once again the steal of the decade IM HO
Back in 2007 it was not only Vince Cable who foresaw the world wide market crash to come end of 2008 and into early 2009 - my wife and I were forecasting the crash to all our friends to stay in cash and wait for the low SPs in early 2009. I was in Lloyds Bank one day in Dec 2008 when the teller said I must talk to two very keen young advisers about the £45K I had in cash - they advised buying LLOY shares which they said that they were all taking out loans to buy at about 125P - I told them to wait a few weeks and they could buy LLOY at about 45p BARC at 50p and RBS at 10p or less. They exchanged pitying glances and told me that in order for that to happen world markets would need to go into meltdown ! I stayed in cash and bought LLOY soon after for 45p - I sold later at 125p but the real multi bagger was BARC - up from about 50p to 250p in a year !!!
I have been all in cash from July this year due to expecting a multi company crash from October onwards. I am day trading when I see a good bargain and doing OK but I will not be holding shares overnight until Traitor May stops screwing up the UK and is sacked as PM - In view of the total disaster she has engineered I think the only viable option now is for MPs to vote to cancel Article 50 - we are still in the EU until end March 2019 and EU lawyers say we can cancel BREXIT and remain on the same terms as we have now - no £39 billion ransom - no kicked out of Galileo - no Irish hard border - no extra French fishing rights - Jebel Tariq (named after the Muslim commander who conquered the Rock of Gibraltar and started the 700 year occupation of Spain by Islam forces) We may even get our EU presidency restored and a golden hello from Drunken and smug EU dictators.
What's not to like ???
Next week will be a roller coaster on world markets yet again IMO
GL all with your own plans
seer
I don't believe one minute Lloyds advisers would advise you to buy there own shares
Nice jackanory story
My usual weekend update,
I started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various posters perception that Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dog of a share', on the 8th Oct 2016 I invited WL/Newchurch to choose an alternative ftse 100 company so I could run a comparison
On 8th Oct 2016 - 1000 quid bought 206 BP. shares & 1905 Lloy shares
Today's value

Overall conclusion -
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dog of a share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

One of the best weekly shares to trade as well. Bought £100.000. At 50p 10k profit plus happy days.
Evil King Please explain You made how much I am poor at maths
Sorry spelling mistake not 10k 1k makes a lot of dif
Sorry Evil I am even more confused Didn’t realise it was a fantasy portfolio So you invested £10k not £100k And you made £1k profit If purchased @50p and sold at 53p That is 3p per share profit multiplied by the number purchased 20000 In my simple maths The profit is £600 not £1000 But what is a few grand between friends I’m in farming and know these things lol

In Sept 2018 Motley Fool recommended Diageo over Lloyds
On 9-9-18 1000 quid bought 37.3 DGE & 1704 Lloy
DGE 37.3 @ 3116 = £1162
Lloy 1704 @ 64.8 = £1104
This weeks observation - Banks advance a little as risk of hard Brexit subsides, UTT suggested we dropped OCDO :-)
Overall conclusion -
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dog of a share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.
