Market Dealer, there was a distinct lack of tory voter presence on this forum when the local election results were coming in.
I ask a few of the hard core tory / Reform UK supports to comment on the result, but guess what, was met with silence...
All they have left now are scare tactics.
Regardless, Lloyds is doing very well this year so far and I am looking forward to it reaching 60p in a matter of months.
I should imagine the Government offer price for the remaining 27% NWG is already known could be June/July sale ? .
🤔🤔🤔
@tricky125 - Labour Party supporter, lives in Russia
@StickyToffeePud- Labour Party supporter, Irishman living in Spain.
Why do either of you think UK politics is any of your business?
ForensicBloo, We will see who will have the last LAUGH...IMHO
Labour are all the downsides of Tories, nanny state, anti marriage, nut zero, COVID lunacy and open borders but with added wokeness meaning we'll get blasphemy law, speech laws and probably euthanising of the elderly. In Britain we have a conservative party that can't conserve and a labour party that undermines labour (open borders and paying the work shy).
Hardup, If you think the government has no power, directly or indirectly, over
BOE decisions then you were born yesterday......imho
You wonder what’s wrong with politics? A read of this board will educate you!
I’m here to invest and this holding near year highs is my interest
Falky
"Lucky, The Government will force BOE to cut the rate as we are heading towards The election"
Utter nonsense. That was one of the reasons that interest rate decision making was taken away from Government and given to the independent BoE, so that the party in Government could not lower interest rates when it was not prudent to do so in an effort to gain popularity with the electorate when an election was looming.
The institute's have made there gains and they will now be hanging on to them,no more cheap shares for md or anyone 75p by end of July and onwards to the£+ guess who mopping up the cheap shares now before the final push to no return, then its super dividend time enjoying the day like me,go out and spend some you can't take it with you mr scrooge bah humbug ,have a happy day.
What done it for me with the Tories is not just immigration overload, but to tear away at allowances is totally unlike the conservative party and it hurts many other things to add but I've not got all day they need a good boot up there backside and to get to back to basic conservative values amen, have a good day.
Of Benefits unclaimed! The rest of the Third World that aren't already here will be filling every available dingy in Europe.
ForensicBloo you are a proper clown.
Please share with us your Brexit success list?
What are the achievements?
What promises has Brexit delivered on?
Stopping the boats? LOL
"This is all you get from these mindless tories on this forum these day; woe be tide you if you vote labour as we predict the sky will collapse on you."
STP
The same way you lot predicted the sky would collapse if we voted for Brexit !
How did that "blink and you'd miss it" recession 6 years after Brexit compare to what the remain clowns predicted?
"I will keep my Shorts going for now...IMHO-DYOR"
MarketDealer
I'm surprised you haven't soiled your shorts !!
DT, Good Morning...Cheers
MD..."Bank's shares will
Suffer badly under Labour".
In these times i woudl expect the unexpected also no guarantee that Labour will even win..,,
good luck with the short position.
DT.
I know but lets hope reform & tories make it difficult for them to get a majority . Cracks are now appearing in Labour . Anyhow I am more interested in divis than SP these days . The SP is now just a bit of fun for me but dont get me rong if the SP outstrips the div income i will certainly sell.
Sunak trying yet again to desperately shift the polling dial but it's utterly hopeless as NOBODY is listening.
Failing to call an election will just makes his situation worst.
I think our only hope for Tories to get in and sustain the economic performance is the country actually recognises that we are on an upward trajectory but situation is fragile. Any serious intervention / economic change could upset the apple cart and put any progress we made back years.
Lucky, The Government will force BOE to cut the rate as we are heading towards
The election, the market knows that Labour will win the next General Election....Bank's shares will
Suffer badly under Labour....I will keep my Shorts going for now...IMHO-DYOR
Did I say or just think that MD ! Will we touch 45 today , if we do it will drop but just touching that number will change the market mind set. 54.52 52 wk high bet that will be broken a few more times today !
**I forgot to add. i no longer live in uk. and glad i am out**
Good Riddance...IMHO
No real love for the Labour party here either, I'm just not feeling it. Remember how it was when New Labour got in? Seemed a genuine sense of optimism, does anyone feel like that about the current Labour. They'll end up dropping about a dozen candidates I imagine when it comes to light what they've said to go down well with the local party regarding Israel.
All they've massively got in their favour are they're not the Tories and everyone is sick of them (like 1997 really), they've done such a terrible job and lurched from crisis to crisis. So much so we've actually forgotten most of it.
No idea what will happen, I'd guess a small Labour majority, I'd guess the SNP are pretty much finished also and there'll be some gains there. They might need to be propped up to some extent.
Still my Lloyds shares are doing alright for me. They're fast approaching the "5 years income" rule for any gain on shares I buy for dividends - basically if I can bank 5 years dividends now, I think hard about selling.
.....US retail sales...also German cpi worth a look tomorrow....big data week ...gla
Agree with you tricky. I cannot abide Starmer, but will add to that Lammy and Rayner.
Tories have nothing to offer now other than scare tactics.
This is all you get from these mindless tories on this forum these day; woe be tide you if you vote labour as we predict the sky will collapse on you.
