mcadder. Nice to see you back! Encouraging words by the Baroness. Lets hope it's more than lip service.
I'm sure we'll all be relieved to see concrete action resulting in contracts and work for both H&W yards...............soon!
UK Parliament Hansard Lords: 25 January 2021 Lords Chamber Integrated Review: New Ships
Integrated Review: New Ships
Volume 809: debated on Monday 25 January 2021
Key bit
Lord Empey (UUP) [V]
"Will the Minister assure the House that this time business and orders will be given and spread over the UK, including to Harland & Wolff in Belfast so that shipbuilding can be sustainable in the long-term, rather than reacting to sporadic and irregular orders?"
Baroness Goldie (Con) [V]
"The National Shipbuilding Strategy identified the challenges and weaknesses to which the noble Lord has referred, and the strategy was clear that a much more stable approach had to be adopted in respect of UK shipbuilders. What is happening currently is clearly good news for UK shipbuilders, and the noble Lord has rightly raised the matter of cross-UK activity. I am pleased to say that, with Harland & Wolff taking over the Appledore shipyard, the Government are working closely with the company to understand better how we might support our shipbuilding industry throughout the United Kingdom. That is the commitment made by the Prime Minister and it is one that we will see being sustained by the recently announced intentions for Royal Naval assets."
Making Progress on a dock gate does not improve my investment! Show me the jobs that want to utilise that asset!
Looks good, thanks for posting
'Making great progress on our dock gate refurbishment at our Appledore site! '

Yahoo and Aol merged some time ago ending up with the name Oath.... explains a lot
Apart from the poor quality of the research it is also internally inconsistent. As it makes references to companies that are not revenue producing at the same time as accepting that it is producing revenues. This load of rubbish can be safely ignored.
Is their any other type?
Poorly researched article. No mention of the change in the companies focus or asset structure...hey ho. Guess it is a reason for some to sell...

I have just seen this tweet https://twitter.com/CommonsLeader/status/1354741535930281987 on the 11 February there is a debate on the publication of the Integrated Review. This does not appear to be a government debate but we might hear about the when the Integrated review will be published if we do not get this on Monday.

Article linked to in the same piece...
Says it all really.
I missed this question
'Mr Simon Clarke (Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland): What progress is
being made on the development of the Dreadnought class nuclear submarine; and
when he plans for the first of that class to enter service.'
If BAB and BAe are doing the Type 26 and the Type 32s then will they have the capacity to also do the Dreadnought Class. If not for National Security reasons INFA will be well placed as I see it to take up the slack.
I have just had a look at the questions currently down to be answered on Monday. Further to my email to him Sir Geoffrey Cox is not taking the opportunity to ask ask him if his department would consider undertaking to place an agreed level of business with Harland & Wolff as it does with other shipbuilders so as to improve the employment opportunities in the area.
However about three MPs are asking about what recent procurement decisions have been made by the Ministry of Defence it would be interesting to see what the follow up questions are. Also Emma Hardy MP is asking when the Integrated Review will be published. Interestingly she is a member of the shadow Education Team and not the Shadow Defence Team so unless there is a constituency interest, she is a the MP for Kingston Upon Hull West, looks like it is a personal matter.
Speedy_Gonzalez In relation to your 01.32 post having read the article I note that it references three separate tender rounds two UK and one Scottish. Also you have to remember that H&W has fabrication yards which are about the same size as the one mentioned in the article. I am therefore relaxed about this as I am confident that the Team Resolute tie up can land contracts out of these tender rounds as the assets and experience are in place.
Speedy, the last paragraph is particularly important, very big bucks required for that type of plant.
We need to see some serious contracts appearing.......https://www.rechargenews.com/wind/uk-global-energy-group-and-italian-fabricator-rosetti-join-up-for-offshore-wind-and-oil-gigs/2-1-952157
I note that we have not had a research note from Cenkos yet I was expecting one yesterday. Perhaps we are going to get a fuller note with some kind of valuation.
From the SP performance, I would suggest many have been flipped. It has been multiple small to medium, private investors, that have taken up the slack. With no new news, the accounts instil little other than hope. All the assets are in place, just need some business which actually makes (real) money. If we are left with no news of contracts to work those, many new acquired, assets, the share price will remain heavy and possibly test the 42p level. I am staying optimistic that things will improve, as we all expect. I was pleased to see the company talking more readily about debt finance. If we are to see a decent return, growth via gearing is the only option. No more dilution please. Shoukd the board code again, I will have to think long and hard about my investment. Good luck.
How convenient!
During the course of the year, the Company utilised the services of Arrow Marine Management Limited ("AMM"), in which John Wood is sole director... for the various survey works and studies required to the undertaken in order to update the necessary environmental information required for the marine licence in relation to the Islandmagee gas storage project. The total fees paid for utilisation of the survey boat and personnel by the Company was £258,930.
How nice it would have been to have seen some of JW's fabled "milestones" applied to bonus payments...
Jack here is a dull boy today Having a day off work and spending too much time online. It's amazing though just what you come across by accident sometimes.
If anyone's watching the TV series 'Marcella', you may be interested that some of the scenes were shot in Harland & Wolff shipyard. It's the last place i thought INFA would maybe be getting an income from, but then again, every penny counts.
