Don't want to spoil the party, but items such as pin piles can be very large items to manufacture ....thus the yard have to have the equipment to manufacture. Not sure what size piles their using on this project, but would anticipate they would be floated in by barge from a specialist manufacture of piles.

Speedy, the Infastructure Minister Nichola Mallon approved the planning application earlier this year for sand extractraction from Lough Neagh , a public inquiry was first held in 2018 . The wrangle over the application has been ongoing for a period of six years. Plant and Civil Engineering magazine.

The open day in Appledore was back in September, I know of two very experienced people in ship building and offshore construction who went along to that open day who never got any reply after submitting cv/s. They have since moved on and were offered positions at BAE and Bab---- witin two weeks of applying to them.
The location is good, and the competition is fierce so hopefully JW has done his research. Have a look at what Global Energy Group (GEG) are doing at their Nigg yard. I was just reading that Tango prior to your posting. Hopefully there wont be any decision delays with this new appointment. Would have liked to have seen someone from a more industrial background appointed.
