Wouldn’t be surprised to find that JW has been retained in some sort of consultant capacity , he wouldn’t want to have gone without some form of payment, and for sure the new guy will need info from him on what’s been going on.
One of the big problems is the lead in times for work to commence on these projects, it’s money burn time ,especially with the wind farm work, it all needs to be taken into consideration .
Big mistakes from JW the Scilly Isles , RNLI , Triumph, Survey Boat, lost a lot of street cred which can be difficult to get back.
Can’t see why the government couldn’t have given a upfront payment in the form Lottie mentioned a few days ago.
In the mid seventies Howard Doris built the Ninian Central for Chevron in 3.5 - 4 years in Kishorn , 3000 men on site,600,000 Ton built towed out and working for over 30 years , how things have changed in slow Joe uk.
