Looking for insight amongst fellow investors but all I read is ego's bickering.
NOFEAR - ‘You and your followers; the ones that click on your recommend blue tab will soon be feel the effects of falling into the sub £3pounds territory’
Sub 300p territory? Haha. I’ve held at 180p territory you melon. Why would I give a f*ck about that?
‘I'm not invested in IDS, but might take a punt if she goes below 3quids’
Yes you are. You bought at 316p with a strong buy less than 10 days ago. Now you’re in the red and flapping. You’ll sell for a big loss, rinse and repeat.
Natural selection pal. Lol.

You and your followers; the ones that click on your recommend blue tab will soon be feel the effects of falling into the sub £3pounds territory. Be my guest. I'm not invested in IDS, but might take a punt if she goes below 3quids
NOFEAR - no one should listen to you and yes, you’re still mentally challenged. And you’re now down on your clueless stab in the dark.
I’d hit the panic button sausage and move onto your next big loss. Lol.
I would be getting all of your ducks in a row before the next company Rns is published
Should had listen to NoFear. Strong Sell Advisory Still Intact.
Take your picks form here guys.
Call me mentally challenged. I don't care.
Hats off to the management and kpmg here 🤣. Not a catastrophic collapse in sp but enough to spook the market and make Kretinskys bid look good value. Stick with it everybody. 😁
TMS - I think it is perhaps KPMG being uber sensitive in a takeover situation. However, it does smack of their internal risk processes catching up with something that may be “soft” in the accounts - if so, almost certainly the balance sheet. Impossible to understand why this problem has only been identified now.
Also RM have been leaderless for a year now and it's taken a ftse 250 company a whole year to find a CEO
Incompetent
Hounddog10 - I’ve just read the Telegraph article citing ASOS and S4 having encountered auditing issues recently…..
I’m feeling conspiratorial on this and I just think the audit issue has been used as a convenient ‘get out’ card for whatever the real reason the results haven’t been released this morning is.
If it is an auditing issue then it’s incomprehensibly incompetent on behalf of Royal Mail and the auditor for such a large company to fail to report this morning.
Either way it’s p*ss poor.
It is indeed very odd. Auditors have started to get a bit tougher in the last few years and delayed clearing accounts. However, it has been in relation to very much smaller companies on, typically, AiM or those that have been highly acquisitive eg Sorell’s S4 where accounting disaster is usually not far behind.
IDS’s financials are not particularly complicated - pretty simple balance sheet which is key to auditing accounts. So it is difficult to know what KPMG is up to and why no notice. They must either be arguing with IDS over a particular issue or have been utterly incompetent.
I never expected the numbers to be the problem. I thought it was something around the messaging.
JB - I don’t believe it for a second…..
They only found out the auditors were going to be late at 13.50 on the day the results were supposed to be released?
Nahhhhh.
Something’s not right there.
Unacceptable. An auditor the scale of KPMG and they cant complete on time. Need new ones then. Not a great look in the middle of a sensitive time. When was this first know that they wouldn't complete, would have been a bit better to put out a notice a few days ago or first thing today. In line with previous guidance but more interested in some of the narrative at this point.
The markets were extraordinarily resilient and patient this morning but the share price will get a right kicking over the next few days I would imagine….and rightfully so…
…..it would appear that ‘someone’ wants it to get a (convenient) kicking while there is a takeover situation going on. Lol.
Redceo
You once pulled me up for describing being an ids shareholder as 'harrowing'... but I stand by it.
Someone needs to have a look at what’s going on here.
The board/companies behaviour is getting more and more erratic.
Someone didn’t want the results and adjoining statements going out this morning and it’s gone Pete Tong.
RNS:
International Distribution Services plc today announces a delay to the publication of its financial results for the 53 weeks ended 31 March 2024, previously planned for 23 May 2024.
The Group's auditor, KPMG, has requested additional time to complete the usual standard procedures after their internal reviews were late in the audit timetable, thereby delaying their final audit process.
The Board confirms that it expects adjusted operating profit (excluding voluntary redundancy costs) for the 53 weeks ended 31 March 2024 to be broadly in line with previously published guidance.
A further announcement on updated timings for the publication of results will be made as soon as reasonably practicable.
Sounds like utter bulls*it to me.
If they were having issues with auditors why wasn’t it communicated earlier? They wouldn’t have audited the results this morning…..I smell a rat.
Definitely more to it.
Why haven’t they released results
Why are people selling just 2,3,or 4 shares in IDS... Surely the trade would cost more than the shares are worth?
I rest my case with you TheMoneyShark
You Won 🏆 🙌🏼
NOFEAR - 'Please don't burn yourself out trying really hard to get the last word over my comments. Chillax bruv. We only live once'
Don't worry, I don't have to move out of first gear when responding to you.....in fact Im still in neutral. Lol
Yes, you go and chillax, that sounds like a great idea. It must be awfully stressful bouncing around from buy to sell depending on how much gear you smoked that morning. Haha.
Oh well TheMoneyShark
Please don't burn yourself out trying really hard to get the last word over my comments. Chillax bruv. We only live once 😊
Well well well
NOFEAR - 'If I changed the direction of my investment sentiment is because it was foreseeable that things weren't going to plan.'
That's because you're both clueless and desperate.....and a chancer. You've been in here 10 days and you're already in mental turmoil. Stock markets aren't made for everyone.
'Have you not seen how those stock brokers change the tune of their ratings depending what a company has published? Are you going to say that they all have a lost bolt somewhere in their heads?'
Firstly, nothing has been published since your desperate U turn. Secondly, yes that is exactly what I'm saying. Broker ratings are targeted at extremely fragile, neurotic lunatics like yourself, who will s*it the bed on anything they publish. They target those with a head like a bag full of spanners. I don't pay attention to them.
'Please re-think your investment in ids before it hits you hard in the stomach with an unexpected nasty bag of surprises as its already happened with their failed to deliver their trading update still outstanding. Shame on them.'
I don't need to rethink my investment. I think I know what I'm doing. And I certainly don't need the advice of a mental case on a public forum. I've seen this share price go as low as 180p, why would you think I'd be remotely concerned today?
You focus on getting through the next 24 hours, don't worry about anyone else. Haha.
