6 of us just returned from a holiday in Cairo. Flew BA from T5 flights full both ways but very poor service on the flight. Hopefully they get that right soon
Flew into Heathrow terminal 5 on a domestic BA flight last night. The flight was about 2 thirds full. All was good and on time but then at Heathrow there was a big problem with the bags in that they didn't show up because there was no staff to get them off the plane! They're being delivered today. Stuff like that doesn't encourage customer loyalty.
why panic when money is coming into the coffers every single day...more than a few months ago...when the 100000 cap was still there...even though this is a time of lull, just before xmas, planes are flying around rather full...i would not even worry!!!
GL Emerald and Jtan( you know what i mean)!!!! GLA.

Oh I see, Annual report 14/12/2022.
Why?
I have a feeling we will re-visit £1.35 as it has been glued to about that for ages. Only 3p more.
The share price is now back down to where it was on the 17th of November.

Oil is volatile so while it has dipped it still remains high and given the current climate it could swing drastically in any direction. Its not enough for inventors to dump their money into travel while its too uncertain and other major factors to consider. IMO
Another article to say jet fuel is made almost entirely from crude oil:-
https://www.oiltanking.com/en/news-info/glossary/aviation-fuels-jet-fuel-aviation-gasoline-avgas-jet-b-biokerosene.html
Thanks Casio, I would have to go back into my data searches to find teh newer current stats, but the older version you pulled is close enough.
Also, at some point, people need to start doing their own research. The fact is, oil prices impact very little day to day running of anything if the maximum refined is low. Also, the Arab oil is mostly used for petrol, diesel was always coming from Russia, and we know how that worked out for us...
It says in this article Jet-a fuel, which is what Airplanes use is similar to jet-b fuel.
It than says Jet-B fuel is "30% kerosene and 70% gasoline".
- Both Kerosense and gasoline are made from oil as we all should know.
I conclide your statement is simply not true, and in fact aviation fuel is made amost entirely from oil.

Hi EC I found this as I was interested as well.
GLA
Can you point me to an article that confirms your "diesel and kerosene only represents about 12-15% of total refined fuel." because I find that very difficult to believe.
Well that was the kiss of death by BoA.
EC,
I get the frustration about oil prices dropping, but to understand how diesel and kerosene only represents about 12-15% of total refined fuel. That is combined!
So if demand for diesel goes up, then they refine more of that 12-15% into diesel, so less kerosene is left, vice versa, if demand for kerosene goes up, down goes diesel refining. This never changes in terms of petrol to derv/kerosene ratio.
This can also lead to manipulation of the price 'at the pump'. Add that to the fact that diesel and kerosene are not and sometimes can not be refined at the same petrol refinery.
As an example, early last year and 2020 diesel was about 10p/ rappen/cents per litre cheaper than petrol, now it is 35rp/cents per litre MORE than petrol.
They are not refining as much, this is a problem. The diesel 'glut' during the plandemic was because there was practically zero goods movement.
I do agree - there is a general lack of enthusiasm across the whole market and don’t quite understand why!?
which is made from ***************** OIL ********************.
Today, 9th December Brent crude is down to $76. On the 5th of December it was $86 ! WAKEY WAKEY !!!!
FFS why on earth does the market appear to have almost completely ignored the fact that the cost of aviation fuel is likely to drop a lot????? Up to 10%?
Also inflation. The main reason inflation shop up was the price of oil shot up. So what is going to happen then?
I find the IMHO low prices of the Airline shares incredibly frustrating!!
Also the pveral market IMHO is completely ignoring the almost inevitable in that inflation will drop a lot in the next few months.
All IMHO.

They want everyone else to buy so they can offload their lot.
Thats their mind games DB
They say buy but don’t themselves….?
