Surprised more people haven't mentioned this. Marshall Wace closing their short position is good news for investors.
Diamondman ,
It was my attempt at humour in response to the post made by jlbmth:)
Conger2 - your assessment of the dilution to the share price due to the RI is spot on. I have seen multiple people here fail to grasp what should be a fairly simple concept. "Oil" being the worst (best?) example. It's truly astonishing how dim some people are - you have to wonder how they hold down a job, pay their bills, and manage to walk upright and do their own shoelaces up. That said, I do occasionally have problems with my own shoelaces, although that is (I hope) due to consumption the night before, as opposed to abject stupidity. I have switched to velcro to alleviate any issues/confusion.
Afirm,
If your internet was down how did you post the message!!

Moody’s on Wednesday upgraded the senior unsecured ratings of International Consolidated Airlines Group ($IAG), d/b/a IAG, to Baa3 from Ba2 and assigned it a Baa3 long-term issuer rating.
The rating agency said the British Airways owner’s investment grade ratings reflect its strong credit ratios, solid business quality and excellent liquidity, among other factors. Moody’s also expects that the group would be able to withstand potential external shocks inherent to the airline industry.
Concurrently, IAG’s Ba1 corporate family rating and Ba1-PD probability of default rating were withdrawn. The outlook is stable.
The rating actions conclude the review initiated by Moody’s on March 13.

This company is a growth company. They are obviously expanding and continuing to grow their business in alll aspects. They are increasing their profits, and also increasing their revenue. Some other ftse 100 companies are in revenue decline, maybe increasing profits from business cost management but overall loosing their customers and slowing declining with no vision for growth. To me this share will intime give back to investors through share price and dividends. If you hold long term you will be rewarded 100%.
You cannot argue their revenue and profit growth year on year.
Yes, you are def comedy gold!! and the muppet of the year award goes to ......!
This will drop below 180 by end of the day
Hahahahaha my name's Su****a and when I post things get f'ed up and I love it hahahaha. Muppets haha. Oh wait....I said it turned green and it red...ooops. Hahah. Muppets haha. muppets haha. Haha.

Hope so!!
TamG , do everyone a favour and .....! i start to think you are a shorter...complaining everytime i post coz it goes up!! Hahaha. you are comedy gold. Btw , we were red this am, i post and we turn green. I expect this to gain 2-3 pence by end of day. Poor muppets (shorters)!!! DYOR.
Okay on 5th Oct 2020 IAG issues 3b new shares increase the total to 5b shares in issue.
Therefore any Share price prior to that date needs to be decided by 5 and Times 2 or times but 0.4 to get the equivalent SP now.
And dividends is waste of time, they are no longer a dividend share as they stopped them. Dividends will not make hardly any difference to this share short term other than the headline.
A share buy back makes much more sense.
So when was the share issue what date? As they issued 1.5 times the existing shares on top and that discounts the SP by 60% ie 600p share = 240p per share after.
Hi YB
I’m basing my expectations over next 3 years on a return to a peak price , for however long that peak may be,of £4.I am assuming that during that time the IT will be sorted,a decent standard of of in cabin service returns that appeals to what in old language would be described as “normal” customers and WW3 is avoided. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.
Be once we hear & read Moody's re-rate, surely that report/outcome has to be positive!
Until then, we will tread water imo.
Fingers crossed we won't have to wait long for that data.

I think neither of these two comments is anything to do with it - I don't think the share price is being 'driven down' and I believe there is a positive vibe about the business.
