I hate to say it… but with a P/E of 4 this bad girl is primed for a takeover bid.
Who wouldn’t want to own a world class airline for a few billion here or there, when she’s creating close to $4 billion in profit PA x
I must admit that given the very positive results (twice) we would have it £2 by now. However the SP has gone from £1.40 to £1.80 in 3 months, so at least it's heading in the right direction. I also hold RR. I sold half when it reached £3. So what do I know? Happy with a steady rise with a few blips along the way. GLAH
Ridiculed for what?
Not doing the simplest of research?
@betterlife , I said the same thing and it just got ridiculed
And look where we are NOW.
It’s been the BEST buy for allot of retail
Investors since the dark days🤘
Have a look when RR was going straight down.
Leas ,
And Vistry group goes up straight line just because of high mortgage rates than ?? 😂😂😂🤦♂️
RR and BA. sp is benefitting from the current world conflicts. Defence budgets are decreasing. You cannot make comparisons other than the wider markets.
Cw,
You are right. What does make share to fall when it is good results ?? Could you say that for company like Rolls Royce or Bae? Well I see both have been going up in straight line for while now .
Betterlife is our resident panicker. Same same on CCL and not understanding that things don’t just go up, and certainly don’t just go up straight after you’ve bought in.
Time is a great educator……….
Valuations on the London market are geared to shorting but that is about to reverse. We are in an international market so sell in May now means 'profits away'. Long term investing in good stock is the winner. This year is the breaking point.
Wood is right...betterlife, i also thought you would know these basic things...anyway, you know now and thats what matters..Better, be patient, this will rise. IMO. DYOR.
Woodsup,
Are you saying same think for United airline as well? They also loss 6 months and make profit rest of the 6month ?
Because airlines are seasonal and Easyjet make all their profit in H2. In the same way IAG only just about breaks even in Q1 but is very profitable the rest of the year.
It's quite strange how you're a regular poster here but don't know that?
Just a question,
Easy jet still are operating at loss no profit yet. How on earth this airlines still make loss after 4 years in Covid and still float on stock exchange?? When did they actually make money ??
Oh I know that bobbins2, I never take anything to serious ;)
Yeah I’m not going anywhere until we hit £2+ here, we know it’s worth more but I’d be content with £2 ish
Fingers crossed for a Good Friday!
Unbelievable.. Literally.
Well done TomBeef - I trust you know that I wasn't having a pop, just putting my (hopefully quirky) spin on things. I post to serve.
PS - what a sh**e day. Down 10 pence here in a couple of days, and EZJ lower now than it was a few weeks back, when it looked like the Middle East was about to blow up. Go figure. Still- at least I had a bit of dry powder to top up both here and EZJ earlier. Will ditch those for a smallish profit when I can, but still holding longer-term for £2 here, and £6 at EZJ.
I’m £13,000+ in profit on this good boy…
So we’re still sleeping good tonight ;)
@Robbren58 - I think we've all clocked a while ago that anything S****na says is literally b***it. The easy way to look at it is, if S****na says something will happen, just expect the opposite to happen. And when S****na claims to have miraculously moved money from one stock to another right in time for the fall of one SP and the rise of another, well its pretty obviously its b***it. But it's quite funny to read and laugh at.
A) It's surprising how quickly this good boy can shoot down.
b) I play the lottery every day. I'm an investor in travel stocks.
Back to 180p tomorrow, fingers crossed. (No reason why it shouldn’t)
It’s surprising how quickly this bad boy can shoot up ;)
Sund
Do you EVER lose money
I'd say so. The release of this news was perfectly timed to interfere with any potential upside to be derived from easyJet's good results today. It looks coordinated to me. There are clearly forces at work to keep airline stocks down. Why that is I'm not sure. Maybe it's the climate change brigade!
Hahahaha i bet 22 came out and you needed 23 as well?.
