Yes, like in every community, there are a few bad actors — including English, and many others — but painting an entire nationality with one brush is ignorant. I know hundreds of Albanians working in top investment banks in the City, at major law firms, and at the highest levels of academia — including LSE and other leading UK universities. One of my closest friends, an Albanian, is Head of Securities globally at IBM. You won’t hear about that on GBN or from Nigel Farage — probably your main source of ‘information’. It’s sad to see such outdated, narrow-minded views still being shared. And by the way — I’m Albanian, and proud.

I could not agree more. I experienced this with AST. AST directors had people (two that I’ve seen quite aggressively defending the director in charge) in the AST bulletin board defending the company and their actions until they drained us and then ran off. Thieves, corrupt, greedy, liars—the most dishonest people you can imagine are found on AIM. Very few companies worth investing in come along, therefore, I agree it is more risky than betting on horse racing.
