I have just checked the Court Listings this morning which go up to Friday 17th May 2024 & still no listing for the IM JR outcome. It did occur to me that the appeal judges are having to think hard & long as to the decision with regards was the decision made in the High Court incorrect because it did not take sufficient note with regards the cross cutting issue.
We now wait to next week for news.
With regards news on the finance front I can only guess that we will have that in the next two weeks.
Regards to all.

….. but don’t mention the VOLUME…. Don’t want to waken anyone
This update from UK Defence Journal shows progress on the Type 26 programme. Looks like a tight race as to whether FSS or the Type 26 will be finshed first. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/a-breakdown-of-the-progress-of-each-type-26-frigate/
Need some positive news here it’s sort of dragging it’s heals atm imho
Shell big pensions fund provider
It seems at times the pundits and jurno's of the financial markets are saying opposing things, at the same time. Almost as if they are either making it up, as they don't really know themselves, or just writing copy to justify their jobs. Can always write another opposing article tomorrow. And around and around it goes....
In another article on proactive...
" FTSE 100 is heading for another record this morning according to the financial spread betters after Apple helped steady Wall Street overnight."
Apple also authorised an additional US$110 billion for share buybacks. Some buy back.

UK companies are Woking themselves out of existence!

I feel that Shell have mooted de-listing too many times recently to be insincere. if it sacks off the LSE quote it will cause panic and more large companies would pick up their skirts and head off for sunnier climes. I don’t think anyone is happy with our MM’s values atm. I agree with Stokey12’s mention of high volatility if Shell de-list.
It would not be a loss of money, 8%, it would rebase the index. All other members would remain same value. A) I don't think they are serious and B) the monies from them divesting here would, to a large extent, be reinvested by the UK based funds into other UK companies.
An 8% drop in the ftse index is hardly a pimple. The article, I think, re-inforces the brief discussions on the board a week or more ago. The UK is heading towards financial backwaters.
Stokey. Coutts money move is a pimple on the markets backside. Companies have announced billions in buyback and takeoves are aplenty. These actions return money to investors, much of which gets returned to other UK investment. Relax. To be honest, their timimg is awful with the UK at one of its deepest discounts to peers ever.
Shell not happy either.

Just read this on CityAM https://www.cityam.com/coutts-under-pressure-for-pulling-2bn-out-of-london-stock-market/?utm_source=CityAM&utm_campaign=d406c32868-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2024_05_03_05_45&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-d406c32868-%5BLIST_EMAIL_ID%5D It is possible that we will see some turbulence in the markets today. Not quite sure how it will affect HARL but I do not see it helping in getting a correction in the undervalue of HARL.
Can't you manage that with your Kayak ? I am disappointed :)
Cenovus were recently seeking bids from interested companies to provide a suitable vessel in relation to the SeaRose FSPO for July. I assume this is for towing the vessel back to the White Rose oil field on completion of works in Belfast. It would also be required for other offshore field support, safety standby operations, field re-supply and other activities as specified by Cenovus. Potential hire term of approximately 30 - 45 days, with extension options and potential hire for ad-hoc cargo supply requirements. Even though a Canadian vessel was preferred I'm not sure the Puffin is going to be up for it, tbh, as it requires a greather than 180 t continuous bollard pull. So close, only 175 t's out. :)
That's interesting. Belfast Harbour website seems to say 4th July departure at the moment. I understood there was the potential for additional work to be undertaken if required.
Maintenance has started at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on the Sea Rose FPSO. Operator Cenovus Energy expects the vessel to be ready to resume production operations at the White Rose Field offshore Newfoundland toward the end of the third quarter.

Need more news than the recent shipping forecasts imho
Phillip, yes agree it’s dragging it’s heals atm
Is no news good news?
Still no finance sorted, thought I like the rumours HW has secured it, but we all thought it would hit its targets too but that didn’t happen.
No news on IM either, no date re judgement. Yes I know their legal advice re mentioning it, didn’t stop JW having some scallops last year though.
To many questions re this company at the moment. All rumour and conjecture. What we need is facts and news to move this and ignite some interest. I think we will be lucky to see 18p this year
H&W have their own team = H&W Welders playing in the NI Championship (second division), formed from the yards welders in 1965, they play in…. yellow & black (surprise surprise) and their badge incorporates the cranes. Just moved to a new stadium named after Danny Blanchflower
