No one will buy this because there's zero certainty in the integrity of the contracts. The contracts are what matter. Whether exports resume this month or next year doesn't really matter.
At the current SP a takeover bid will come in soon
Wouldn’t be surprised if it came from Turkey for the entire control of the field and pipeline, that would put them in a very controlled and oil independent country
Just returned from a short holiday to ? Can anyone in a few words say what happened today?
Anyway in the manner of doing what I do, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, I’ve taken this opportunity to buy GKP.
Was that stupid or wise?
I don't necessarily believe that Q4 23 is the deadline.
Q1 2024 is my assessment.
But I do believe that the oil will flow again. Obviously.
In the interim we'll get punished.
And there may be a question about financial support. Whether it be rights issue or private investment.
But for me the bigger consideration is whether to buy or sell, and more importantly, when?
I think I'll stick around a while...
Market have over reacted today, this is truly a bargain price. Buys will return soon
Many do not believe now it seems
Panic creates opportunity. Stock is cheap again (even writing off receivables) if you believe oil will flow in the 4Q '23.
Itsaponzi,
Relax.
The oil will flow again.
Maybe there will be a rights issue, probably not.
But the oil will flow in any case.
The terms of engagement are changing between GKP and their Masters.
That's all.
We'll just have to chin it.
Agreed
Putup $82m left then !! 13 months survival left then at $6per month .
Still some breaching room lol
Genel has held well considering!!
What's their interest payments per annum on that $300m bond ??
So what's next for kurdistan no salaries being paid indefinitely.
Going to be uprising from the kurdistan people with this corrupt government.
Iraq and Turkey have formed an alliance in all this I'm pretty sure of that .
They want to ruin kurdistan and its working so I'm expecting a war shortly??? Over throw the government and cause a complete out of control war.
The hate between the sunnis and ssheite just grows 1000s of hate can't be changed I'm sorry to say and the IOC are stuck in the middle .
Rant over
Apologies - wrong thread. Written in response to Itsaponzi.
"How much cash does gkp have left $83m with a $6m per month cash burn surely they can half that now or less ?? "
On June 15 they had $93 million in cash...
C eye, they would NEVER buy this now
Who wants to hold for results???
Such a shame this has ended up like this all that potential gone up in smoke ..
So what's next the $150m is a write off even though have promised to pay us but we are dealing scum bag liars ..
So all them big buys yesterday were sells that's obvious now and I reckon the big boys are un loading now ..
How much cash does gkp have left $83m with a $6m per month cash burn surely they can half that now or less ??
BIOD salaries should stop ASAP only thing now is security and minimum maintenance work .
Swell,
You've nailed that.
Excellent post.
It's a ponzi, I really want an answer to this.
What do you think the board know that we don't already? There's zero they cam do, they're just a management team hired by big shareholders.
Dip, sorry.
Genl and gkp are completely different, gkp is all in here, cash vanishing. Though Genl have debt. Also Genl under 1 pound for some time
Itza, they’re on holiday, you won’t hear from them until late Aug/Early Sep.
'What would you have them say that they haven't already?'
'We're about to buy on the tip' would be comforting.
Genl down 3.2% GKP down 12%, says it all really, GKP has a lot of retail investors versus Genl’s institutions. If Genl was down a similar amount I’d be inclined to think there’s something very serious going on but, they’re (Genl) just tracking Brent and the general low mood, GKP investors are taking flight in panic.
The market has had enough and so have I now !!
40p share in 6 weeks if no pipeline open .
The BOD need to RNS something out ASAP ..
Ha ha putup, working for gkp, has just told us where they're at
It's a bed-wetting stampede, too many false dawn' and people haven't got faith in the upcoming meetings changing anything after so many promises. I'm not saying it will or won't, I hope it will! All it takes is a SP drop (which has been happening for a few days now on opening) and the avalanche starts, then the shorters, hoping to buy cheapest and the low life schadenfreude posters dive in to push it along. It's still a basic equation, will there be an outlet for the oil or not.
