Swell, at no point have I said I like Putin?
Ukraine he's winning hands down, Syria he won, he's united the world with the West as enemy number one, primarily what he calls the Anglo Saxon World.
That's reality, not 'liking'.
Ffs I'm invested in this Anglo Saxon Orange company, last thing I needed was Putin uniting the middle east to oust and crack my golden egg.
But on his 'death', if you don't know this, let me tell you, his people fanatically adore Jim, he's bloody God to them. Sure Russia was weak, destroyed, the West had Yeltsin there, they were slicing it up. He has turned it into one of the most powerful countries in the world, why wouldn't they love him???
Look at Rishi, Biden for god sake???? Macron? Schmaltz??? Could we have stupider people in charge????
*if it wasn't all so tragic, it would be hilarious
Swell, it is no use engaging with this lunatic. I have tried (on several occasions) to extract some sane, logical, moral, reality based commentary from this uneducated, ill researched, deluded nutter, but it will always be to no avail with max.
He constantly refers to Putin as this genius who will get what he wants and everything is going to plan in Ukraine.
It is mind boggling that no matter what information comes out from Ukraine and everything involved with it, he refuses to accept reality, no doubt due to his utterly depraved and irrational obsession with a 5ft 2in murderous botox filled dictator.
Russia's failures and international embarrassment have been mounting week after week, month after month for a year and half now, and Max still refuses to admit it or is simply too dumb to realise it. You simply wont get an honest adult reply from him.
He doesn't want to admit Russia cant possibly get more out of this war than they put in.
Hundreds of thousands of working age men dead and wounded, hundreds of thousands fled the country removing themselves from the economy.
Russia failed in taking Kyiv, they failed in stopping NATO expand, they spent tens months taking one town (Bakhmut) at the loss of over 10,000 dead and that is despite having an artillery advantage of 10-1 and local air superiority. And they haven't even managed to advance on a single other front for the last 9 months.
The leadership bomb schools, hospitals, play grounds, shopping malls, residential buildings, killing women, children, babies and if that wasn't disgusting enough on its own they then cry "terrorism" when Ukraine attack their Black Sea Fleet.
They have lost half their heavy weaponry and armour, and now they are wheeling out tanks from the 1940's to the front line. 80of their "elite" units gone
Their soldiers shoot each other if they retreat, there have been videos of castration, beheadings, mass graves and executions, yet still Max will support it.
The only nations that actually vote with Russia at the UN are Syria, Iran, North Korea and Belarus. But yet again Max seems to think that utterly laughable set of allies is something to be proud of and evidence of the west losing.
The west keep crossing every single red line the Kremlin set down and then Russia stamp their feet like petulant children, threaten to nuke every major western city at least once a week, yet Max is in awe of these utter buffoons.
Number of Russians living in absolute poverty has gone from 12 million to 22 million since the start of the invasion. the Ruble is the worst performing major currency of this year. oil and gas revenues are down 40%. Russia is running its biggest ever trade deficit on record. historic rate rises have just been implemented. yet despite all those facts, morons like Max will claim "sanctions arent working", even when Putin himself asked sanctions to be removed as a bargaining chip for re-entering the grain deal.
if it wasn't so all tragi
Max,
You have moments of clarity followed by utter insanity. Your misguided love for the monster putin is vile, you need to keep a hold on reality, putin has started a war with no winners that will take him to an early grave in suspicious circumstances. It’s only a matter of time (and further bodies) before the sober Russians demand his removal. GKP is nothing compared to the death and destruction taking place in Ukraine, stick to posting your thoughts on GKP and leave your putin obsession for other boards, you may find posters taking you seriously.
Just put in an order for a few at 92p.
Was in GKP many many moons ago all the way from about 70p to over £4. It was a certainty that Exoon would take us over for £20 and we would all be rich…. And the rest is history.
I remember a couple of amazing posters geologist and the sort. Todd was God. Mickey joined us after a while and I remember Max i think.
Then lead the charge on Genel for a few years posting as Hawkey…
Good luck all, it’s a very solid gamble and you never know your luck….
Armas,
PUTUP's comments are right.
And you're not the only one with serious 'skin' in this.
But Swell3216 is right as well; if you didn't appreciate what you were doing then you shouldn't have done it. First time out or subsequently.
Bit rich that you're now coming back to the bb complaining, whining and blaming geopolitics, the complicated history of GKP, and the suggestions of other bb contributors who do not share your view and have a different view of the outcome.
It's a risk share.
Just live with that knowledge.
And the fact that you might lose even more money that you can afford to lose (maybe).
You just seem to be doing a lot of whining...
The majority of the oil arriving at Ceyhan comes from the Caspian basin.
In the end I lose a million.... but I'm not dead, or in a war torn mess. Tbh it's amusing to imagine those who wiped out all the innocent pi's get completely annihilated. Sadly I know however they escaped unharmed as they got all their initial investment covered by dividends already.
This was the reason for the dramatic dividend pump, they suspected this possibility naturally.
80+ million on hand,, 6 million or so covered costs etc,, Should be in Profit from June onwards, from 12000 barrels a day to 22000+ were definitely in profit,, any way I've just Topped Up,,, And Don't forget No Debt,,
Turkey aiming to be a strategic petro hub makes a lot of sense.
Putup, I agree with Longstrong. And look if I'd sold this at 4.50 and bought at 1p and sold at 3.20 and never come back, I'd be a decently wealthy person.
Now however, as I said, the natives appear to have had enough, and are being guided by a profoundly strategic mind in Putin, with a genius for Macro, law, and the Art of War, that currently NO other world leader comes close to. Ie, we are screwed.
The last meeting with Erdoğan appears to have cancelled his Iraq visit, I'm sure both parties at this stage await his command. It looks like they plan for us and US army in North Syria etc to be 'starved out', when we are all at our weakest they will make their play. As time passes our position becomes more untenable.
Either then Akipur is made formally illegal, nationalised, or simply a military coup. And we cease to be.
I think we'll go the way of one of my other great investment certs: gulfsands Petroleum.... rights to oil in Syria, to a field, with 'London contracts' etc, just like here, which are now wholly managed by Assad's mate.... Putin.
There is definitely someone loading up and buying big in GKP
Inside information
Erdogan announced the finance agreement for a 550 million investment in a Ceyhan petrochemical plant; Reuters. Long term but I wonder where the oil required will mostly come from.
Patience Required
Completely disagree, the valuation at the moment is clearly depressed due to the political stalemate regarding the restart of the pipeline.
The original euphoria upon discovering oil in the first place was bigged up by a certain man currently in prison who loaded the company with debt.
No matter which way you look at valuing GKP if you remove the uncertainty regarding the arrangements between Erbil and Baghdad GKP is ridiculously cheap given the the current CPR is only evaluating part of the Shaikan field.
I don’t support the pumping and ridiculous price predictions but I also don’t agree with the trashing of what GKP currently have and in my personal opinion previous statements from former CEOs (who are not in jail) of a realistic valuation of approx. 2bn are not far away.
I like quite a few on here are long term holders and have seen many people come and go on this BB with valuation opinions that suit their own interests, but at the end of the day let’s see where we end up.
I seem to remember 80million$ in bank which
Should keep the Company solvent for some extended period. Along with sales from the
Rack paid in advamce will surely help. For me,,
The share price has a very high potential return
For risk level. Even at a liquidation level.
Arma, I think you need to realise that euphoria and hype took the stock to those completely ludicrous levels. A hard collision with reality brought it crashing down. It wasn't a case of 'justified valuation followed by robbery' (so to speak). If anything, it was the other way around. The production of oil - and, with it, cost recovery - simply didn't come fast enough.
I wonder if you bozos will ever have a million to invest anywhere
Max,
Scum stole your money LOL, cry me a river princess. I love a bit of geopolitical uncertainty, it’s good for business but, you need to be accurately aware of the risks and it’s clear you’re blinded by greed and incompetence. I’ve lost a few quid here over the years but, I managed to claw a bit of it back on other trades, you obviously put all your chips on red and it came up black. If I were you, I wouldn’t be advertising how Shiite at trading I was, I’d be licking my wounds and putting in extra hours to try and get some of my losses back. When this hits 200 I’m out, I’ll have made a very tidy profit, good luck getting your losses back ;-)
Arm. “Scum” didn’t take 600k off of you. Stock market investments carry different levels of risk and sensible adults choose the level OF RISK that they are prepared to take. Now a free of charge lesson for you; if I had a total of £1k to invest today there will little point to putting that into legal and general at the near 9% yield available even though it carries little or no risk of long term loss. The income will only be £90 per year taxable with half of that lost to inflation, plus I’d expect 20 /30% capital growth over 2/3 years if the economy stabilised, just £2/3 hundred pounds. Hardly life changing. No I’d put my £1k into GKP and there is a good chance that 6 months on it will more than double and potentially grow 5 fold over a couple of years including a return to high dividends. As for the risk, well a £1k lose will not be the end of my world and I won’t accuse anybody of being “scum,”
Now the exact opposite is true if like you I had £600 k today. Put that in legal and general at 9 % and I’d have about £50k per year income and the prospect of £100k or so capital growth over a couple of years, all at negligible risk. If on the other hand I was so stupid as to put that £600k into GKP , and as like you I’m not worth a billion, it would be the end of my World. Even then I would have no right to accuse anyone of being “scum” as the result of my own adult choice. In other words Arm stop winging here and get a life. Free lesson over any further advice is available @ £300. Per HOUR.
I'm here to make money but I think the company, and the Western bloc behind it, particularly the bustards who took it from 4 50 to 1p and took 600k plus off me, are scum
Ha ha Swell, you OK? Geo politics not your bag? Ps 'investing' in Kurd oil is geopolitics u muppet
what a complete pile of ******. you took a punt on a dodgy share and lost your shirt. it’s no one’s fault but yours. stop being a cry baby and admit you’re not cut out for share trading and no amount of bs regarding geopolitics and conspiracies will change that. if you can’t take the heat, dry your eyes and get out of the kitchen.
Their strategy of confusion and passive action is working. The West are lost. Without their base brute strength approach since '45 they have no tact or alternatives. Clearly.
The world has changed. Erdoğan visited Putin and was brought up to speed on the next phase. Ergo told that no visit was permitted.
Fronts are opening. Niger, Kurdistan, soon Pacific. The USA will be forced into solitary isolation, Europe into resource poverty and deindustrialisation. The East will have created a Bloc of all the greatest resource owners.
Putins economic theory from the 90's is coming to full fruition.
This is playing out exactly as I imagined unfortunately however I did not follow my Reason
imagination and prediction, but I followed hope and false articles of people who did not understand geopolitics.
It reminds me of how unintelligent the experts are. It will be the last time that I am caught out in such a way.
Clearly we are in this current situation ( pipeline closure) for longer than I for one and no doubt many had imagined, the Erdogan visit would have been a signal that negotiations that are ongoing had achieved a compromise that is acceptable. On the plus side local sales do seem to be covering basic costs and as GKP is a low cost producer in times when the oil price is high they do have the potential to add a small profit that can increase in the event that this sales outlet becomes the norm. Personally I can’t see a situation where Baghdad would push Kurdistan hard enough to prevent trucked local sales / corrupt exports, and it does seem that the lack of timely budget payments to Kurdistan are starting to hurt, hopefully this will force a resolution before it becomes a military conflict, and that could be the end of GKP. On balance I still believe that @90p this is a buying opportunity, but not so much that I will add to my own long position.
Patience Required
