Yeah runs out in August 2022, drill results of majors will be in by then. If they hit farm out will be done in days I have no doubt
Suppose both Shell AND Total stike oil with their drillign campains, excellent results, the shareprice will SURELY Rocket for GBP?!
But will it... clearly the licence runs out for GBP in 2022, whats to prevent another party coming in a buying/obtaining the licence from the Namibian government? Is this scenario still a risk to us as shareholders, does anyone have any insight to that?
I havent got the house bet on this stock but its considerable for my portfolio, i'm holding for now.
Hoping that this drill reveals a strong natural flow.......a gusher.......how good would that be.......SP would rocket.....:)
Anticipation building !!! Some people in the know here , clearly leaky pardon the pun!! Multi bagger surely ? GLA , DYOR

The ministry probes the frenzy of “oil” of Vaalgras -.
Wednesday 15th December 2021 03:32 AM
The Ministry of Mines and Energy said it was investigating allegations that a private company discovered oil in the // Kharas region over the weekend.
The company was contracted by a farmer to drill two boreholes in the Klein Vaalgras area.
Photos believed to have been taken at the discovery site, depicting a dark substance, toured social media yesterday and raised headlines for hundreds of social media users.
Sources say the alleged oil was discovered after the company drilled boreholes 150 meters below the ground surface.
Ministry spokesman Andreas Simon said yesterday that a team of geologists had been dispatched to Vaalgras to investigate the allegations.
He said experts would take samples of the substance, test them and analyze them.
“As it stand
Absolutely
Will rise on speculation
GBP is one of very few stocks that has held the gains in this turbulent market
We just need who ever is selling to quit it.
You won’t need oil being hit for it to rise. Over the next few weeks this will rise due to anticipation of results.
2 new majors are drilling in this area for a reason. This isn’t AIM Casino Exploration, this is 2 of the biggest players.
drill hits oil it will imo
This will not rocket while every tick up gets sold
This will ROCKET
Ministry of Mines and Energy
UPDATE: Earlier today, a team of experts from the Ministry of Mines and Energy conducted an investigation in Klein Vaalgras, in the Southern part of Namibia, where the alleged oil like substance was found, after a contractor drilled a well for the setting up of a water borehole.

Shell began drilling the well on Block 2913A on December 8. The company is drilling in the Orange Basin, in around 2,000 metres of water.
The supermajor is using the Valaris DS-10 for the well, under contract from November 2021 to January 2022 in Namibia. Shell had been weighing up three prospects on the block before opting to go with Graff. Source: Energyvoice.com
It is my understanding that Graff -1 is a 60 day drill, so well results expected end of January / early February 2022.
Downside risk here is that wells are dry and SP goes to cash in bank position ($2mm?) or 0.2 p. Big question is where does it go if one well finds some oil? 30-35 days drill so results by end year or early Jan imo.
I suppose it might be 90 days if you include the wireline logging?
60 days
Shell is drilling the Graff-1 well using the Valaris DS-10 drillship, which it hired for Namibian operations back in August 2021. Namely, the rig was awarded two one-well contracts with an estimated duration of 60 days each for work offshore Namibia and Sao Tome and Principe with the Namibian work slated to start first.
The article says 90days hence the abundance of selling in my eyes
When will the results be known?
These wells are recognised worldwide as two of the most important oil exploration wells of the year. Total’s Venus-1 well spudded recently, and now Shell has started its Graff1 well. Pancontinental’s Saturn turbidite complex is geologically similar in many ways, particularly to the Venus Prospect.
“These turbidite plays are like very large oil fields elsewhere in Africa, triggering significant interest in offshore Namibia from major oil companies and Africa specialists
Unfortunately no big bucks today only sells !
