RE: Major Oil Companies Believe Namibia is Africa's Next Oil Hot Spot13 Jan 2020 11:39
Having checked GBP on the ASX, shares over there are trading at an all-time low so I've sold the 75,187 shares bought last Monday @ 1.33p, a 35% gain in a week was too tempting ! Without news I can see GBP slipping back again, I hope to buy again between 1.20p - 1.35p. GLA
Please keep posting your research :-) It might be that I caught too much sun last week, but I've decided to buy 75,187 GBP shares @ 1.33p. I've got the urge to ski again this season, hopefully GBP shares might just pay for my trip !! GLA
Buongiorno, I've just returned from a fantastic week of skiing in Italy & France to find that there's seismic data collection happening in the Walvis Basin, what a great start to 2020 !! I'm looking for the SP to nudge down to 1.20p - 1.30p and then I'll wade in for one last top up. Buon anno nuovo to all GBP shareholders.
Yes indeed Jimarillo, 2020 is going to be a very interesting year in offshore Namibia. The Majors have done their research and will be spudding wells next year, that's good enough for me. I'm off skiing in the next few days, hopefully when I return in the New Year the share price might be 1.20p - 1.30p. Season's greetings.
GBP drops by 33.33% on the ASX overnight on only 40,000 shares traded. GBP on the LSE has been falling during the last week. I'm hopeful that my wish of GBP falling back to 1.20p - 1.30p might come to pass.....I would like one more top before offshore Namibian drilling commences :-) GLA & Season's greeting.
I agree...…..it is clear that there are very few "free floating" shares, a slight increase in demand & the GBP share price moves up quickly, that bodes well going forward. Will we see a SP rise once Total starts drilling ??? Time will tell. GLA.
I have been looking for an entry point but it's clearly a "falling knife" at the moment. The fact that the Chairman & Directors are not buying (the Chair is selling !!!) speaks volumes. I feel for AMGO shareholders, I know what you're going through.
It looks like we are just weeks away from Total spudding Venus in offshore Namibia, should Total find oil / gas, it could be transformational for Global Petroleum. The Peters are very smart operators in my opinion. GLA.
Great find....."Deepwater exploration focussing on emerging areas > 50% of exploration wells in the next 3 years, targeting giant resources" Venus to be drilled by 2019.....really? Total are "elephant hunting", fantastic news !!
When PCL drilled their Namibian licence in September 2018, GBP hit a 52 week high of 4.05p. It will be interesting to see what impact (if any) the Majors planned 2020 Namibian offshore drills have on GBP. Tick, tock.
Well done Volcano, I wish I could say the same, I've been stuck in Man Group for years !! Sorry to hear than Jonathan Sorrell is leaving the Group, oh well I'll just have to keep collecting the dividends until I can finally sell up !!! ATB.
I think the 10% Special Resolution share capacity is on top of the 10% share increase which ASX rules permit, so potentially 20% in total (Jimarillo / Marmited please correct me if I'm wrong on this point). As for what it is for, hopefully a strategic investor coming in as part of a farm in / out deal. GLA.
