I have topped up my LINV shareholding this morning, I see an non executive director purchased £20k shares in January @ 34.5p. The share price is back to its previous lows, I'm hoping that the next RNS will provide shareholders with positive news.

From what I've seen previously, where a large shareholder wishes divest shares, they do so through a structured plan sometimes involving a Stockbroker or Investment Bank. It is not in the interests of the divesting shareholder to cause a decline in the share price. An example of this was seen with the Government selling off its shares in NWG (formerly RBS).

With a current yield of c. 7.70% pa plus a recent acquisition, this share is a solid buy & hold in my view, I certainly intend increasing my shareholdings in the coming months.

And on 17 September 2025, Point 72 Asset Management reduced its Short on Man Group shares.

I wish I could say the same for Barclays Stockbrokers, whereas Serica Energy dividends credited in to ii.co.uk accounts before 8.00am today.

Previously owned OSB shares, bought back in last week. I recall that Barclays bought Specialist Lender (non Bank) Kensington Group for over £2 billion circa 2 years ago, I'm hopeful that OSB will receive a bid in the next 12 months.

I hope the share sales were just investors who have got fed up with the company's performance. Surely with the share price at a fraction of the IPO price, Directors should show some faith in the company by buying large volumes of shares ?

The Budget increased stamp duty on second homes with immediate effect is my understanding, the Government continues to penalise Landlords. Myopia seems to be infecting this Government, the UK population is rising (c.68 million people) ergo demand for property is rising.

From memory, the Key Facts Illustration (KFI) on a mortgage informs the potential borrower that a commission is being paid to the broker by the lender. It may even state the monetary amount of percentage commission being paid, perhaps someone who has recently applied for a residential mortgage can check their KFI and confirm or amend the above.

First charge residential mortgages (excluding certain types of BTL mortgages) became regulated by the FSA (now FCA) in 2003/04.

The Directors are not inspiring confidence here, they should be buying shares to show their confidence in the business. Buy to let lending was significantly down last year, no surprises given high interest rates & the Government's policy of increasing taxation on Landlords, many have sold their BTL properties & many more Landlords will probably sell with Labour in power.

I purchased OSB shares at the start of this week & topped up yesterday, hopeful this will bounce back in the coming months, 500p in December 2024 would be a nice Christmas present ! GLA.

19 January 2024 - 600,000 share trade went through @ 28.0p for £168,000.

Is this stake building or a wealthy PI with £168,000 to invest ?

Today's RNS is very much welcomed, the Directors have returned the company to profitability, fingers crossed for a dividend to be paid later this year. I've topped up my holdings.
