As mentioned over the years abd on the old RYA bb,
I much prefer Ryanair to EZJ.
The risk with Ryan atm is Boeing - i can still hold the
stock due to duel nationality. Had to give ii my Irish passport number.
Ryanair had a fantastic pandemic v EZJ
The value destruction with EZJ caused by the last deeply discounted RI, with the number of shares in issue exploding.
And the great irony as it turns out, they could have
navigated the pandemic without the 2021 RI.
But, very easy to say this after the event and from the distant sidelines.
Great credit to Michael O'Leary - read it beautifully.
EZJ has not debt, its in credit buddy. This will rise BIG TIME or get taken over for close to £9. I think this is a good bet for me. Thanks but No. O' Dreary can whistle!!
Some of us would rather fly indirect than RYA 😂
They raised £1.2 billion from the last capital raise.
They have net cash, largely as a result of increasing the share count.
65% approx more shares in issue following the last RI.
When zome posters look at the pre pandemic price,
they are bot factoring in the extra shares. EPS was battered as a result, But the future looks brighter
This will be easily £8-10 next year...Of course IMO. DYOR.
Sund
Don't be so silly. Your predictions based on wishfull thinking
We will see next year. The profits will be above 1 billion this year...
Robbren, sundezenas predictions are just a much predictions as those of Stupmy, who also just picks numbers and hopes for the best.
Did you notice how Stupmy has gone all quite as the SP reduced todays losses? Funny isnt it. Because it didnt suit his agenda.
Good rebound today...Good weekend all.
It went down? Hows that a rebound, yes it wasn't as down as AM but its not a rebound, its just a smaller drop
Also, to reach £1b pre tax profit that means a H2 profit of £1.35b vs LY H2 of £0.87b, so an increase of 56%, sorry, just not seeing that level of improvement, when the H1 profit only narrowed by 15%
I wasn't really putting much effort into EZJ during the pandemic. What was the TERP after the RI fp? I'm particularly interested as I was involved in TUI when they raised and their SP hasn't got anywhere near the TERP ever since. In theory the TERP accounts for the increase in shares. It gives me an idea of 'value' at the time of the RI.
Hi Beo1,
Hope you're very well.
I'm not an EZJ investor, but I do check in here from time to time and have a read, as I'm actually a Tui investor and so interested in a range of views about what's happening in travel/holiday stocks etc.
Just wanted to share that as far as I know and remember, the Full Year target of £1 Billion PBT is actually a mid-term target for 2028 - hope that helps and best
That was a mid term target for the package holidays part of the business, not the whole company.
Hi Beo1,
Many thanks for coming back, but think you're incorrect in your thinking - to help please read the link below - shows that the medium term profit ambition for the holiday side is £250 million and as part of the overall £1 Billion fore the whole company by 2028
Hope this helps
https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2023/10/13/easyjet-plans-order-for-up-to-257-airbus-aircraft/
This year assuming that there's disruption similar to last year H2 will produce around £1bn profit with £750m of that coming from Q4. That will produce a profit around £650m for the year and a 20% of £650m dividend pot.
Q3 will produce a profit of £250-340m in my opinion Q4 £640-£750m. The split is a bit fluid on holiday times
Profits up over 30% which should enable easyjet to take off today!
We lost 6% in 5 trading days.
Oh Really largely to blame.
No idea why BoA doing this….to confuse us? Maybe they been briefed by Stelios? Maybe they just see deep value?
Am sticking :)
