Do rampers or de rampers get paid for every like if so how is this achievable I’m wondering maybe I’m in the wrong trade to make a buck or two working outside in the wind and rain teach me or point me in the right direction as always 3.59.
Best advice - ignore them.
To paraphrase American novelist Ellen Glasgow (deceased) :
"They know so little and know it so fluently"
I think you may have a point my friend. But …..
Can never know. Aim market is flawed in some way.
Like you i am a long term holder here but sometimes do wonder …….
I’m just wondering do people get paid per post if they get likes ramp or de ramp in accordance to people like button clicking somebody enlighten me please
Buyers do people earn money from posting basically??????????????????????
Tony, if they do earn for each recommendation I’ve earned £2.90 today, best I post loads more ;-)
ATB Pete
How does it work please Pete ???
Tony, it is said that those who are working on behalf of the IIs, MMs etc with very strong views in order to influence investors to buy or sell, dependent on what their pay master wants them to do. And if it’s true they earn about 10p per post.
I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong, Pete
Many thanks newbie!!!
Agree…. Not a level playing field at times for sure …..
The thing I don’t get, and I’d love someone to explain, if sentiment on these BB’s influences SP as Gekko et al have mentioned several times, why isn’t EUA sitting at 50p +? Many here fret about deramping trafing cabals getting 10p per post but it ain’t realistic, is it? Can’t have it both ways
GLA
It is not sitting at 50p until something concrete, like JORC and licences, those could take us to 50p,
these will be with us shortly, :-)
then a couple of weeks later for the shareholder circular with offer and dividend details.
GLA
bobby- I agree wholeheartedly. So let’s not blame rampers/de-rampers for minute changes in SP or any change in the SP for that matter. Anything posted on this BB has absolutely no influence on EUA performance.
You can’t possibly know if there is any actual impact on the SP by posting about it. So I always find the 10p per post or 10p if the SP falls stuff to be nonsense.
However I have become convinced that there are gangs who hit a message board with negativity in an organised way to get SP reductions on AIM. They rock up when the SP is vulnerable and are either shorting or looking forward to a lower entry point. Next time there is a news event that looks like it could have an impact on the SP note how many posters you never noticed before suddenly rock up to tell you how bad things are.
It would be hard to manipulate a stock like SNG in this way but where there is low volume and shareholders are feeling a bit down anyway I think it maybe could.
Am I nuts and imagining this?
I meant a stock like EUA………
Good morning,
Gecko, I agree, with your post,
1sttimelucky,
"Gecko, there have been plenty ramping on here at times, and slowly disappear similar to those who have deramped. If anything I would say there have been way more rampers over the last 2 years that have come & gone, probably trading groups as opposed to institutional"
The only ramper that comes to mind is that I think his name was JhonesRichards? bloke!
We had our onboard comic with £35 per share, but he was a nice and harmless individual!
All the rest of the positive holders that once frequented this LSE board I think you will find are on Telegram, which is currently up at 2389 posters, between both groups.
Any disorderly conduct on Telegram and the poster is probably exiled.
So to me, Telegram is full of positive shareholders!
ADVFN, well, apart from Excelance, there is not much positive hope for EUA :-)
I certainly feel it is the negative de-rampers that have had to infiltrate this board in groups, much more than any ramping of this stock by posters, most just refer to the actual RNS for proof of concept of their post!
Just my view, but then I biased in favour of this stock :-)
cheers.
Agree with you gecko,
I have only held shares here for 18 months and in that time there has been way more new monikers appear then de ramp the hell out of eua. Then dissapear only to pop back with a new identity,
Morning All
As always where there is money to be made , many humans get greedy & then germinates toxicity,
Shorting is a part of modern markets , hedging against longs reducing risk etc ,
Don’t have a problem with that as doesn’t really effect the stock price .
However , like I say some greedy grubby fingered traders came up with the idea to manufacture hornswaggle regarding the company to artificially drive the stock lower to make as much dosh as possible irrespective of the damage to the company stock & subsequently the company itself .
These boards & the internet have germinated many financial groups to instigate there toxic attacks on stocks as the ‘ no smoke without fire ‘ works a treat with pi s ,
Toss loads of false boll0cks regarding a stock & some will stick & constantly sow seeds of doubt in naive investors ears they may eventually listen & sell , & often target positive posters to disrupt the info & positivity .
Shorting Crews are certainly active & on these boards - can go horribly wrong mind - look at JUB last year
That also works with crews pumping stocks with false info regarding company valuation to sell high & leave the pi s holding , much smaller % in my eyes .
However there seems to be more shorting attacks it seems easier to instil doubt to human investors rather than a fantasy reward , & these boards are awash with toxic posters with an agenda & getting worse ,
I’ve never seen so many reincarnations of previous banned posters or multi monikered weirdos causing disruption , that is exactly why the’ Bot Fly ‘ germinated in 2019 & I take full responsibility.
End of the day money can be made without toxicity - invest in the best & sup plenty of Grog
My musings
Rums all Round
I'm sure that the MMs have better things to do than monitor all of the b/s posted on the LSE, ADVFN etc. chat boards to monitor sentiment. They will have software monitoring trades and trade volumes. Also please explain to me how "algos" can read chat boards and gauge sentiment from them Gecko.
I have to agree with you Gecko - many more Derampers around.
Those with Multiple identities - HappyScot/Newtothisgame(who I've seen around in GGP BB for many years) and ScottyDog/TheGG.
There are many accounts that are Dormant that suddenly spring to life - mostly come on here and other BB's Deramping.
Then you have 1sttimelucky who only opened his account in Jan21 but tells us about Derampers/Rampers for the past 2 years !........but they'll also tell you that they didn't need to post before........then why the sudden interest with so many posts ?....lol
I too agree with GLG. Algos these days are scooping info from everywhere. Laptops, i phines, pads and tablets, advertisements. However, we have one excellent way to beat that. If you thing to
He post is a bit iffy, then check the info in it by digging on the web for a few hours. If you can’t be bothered to do that then you put yourself at risk from these people. Check posting history. You will see a pattern, some OBVIOUSLY people we have seen before. Writing style, childish name calling and the way the script is set. Look deeper and keep aware. The facts are all out there and some people on here are kind enough to post them. Be watchful and stay safe. It’s your hard earned money, do your best to defend it from these people. My way of trying to beat them is by buying when they manage to drive it down. Good enough for them, so good enough for me. Keep safe.:-)
If you want a stunning sample of algos then there was a youtube item of a guy unboxing a brand new phone. He explained that he was setting it up from new. Once it was up and running he had a conversation about a subject and the first ads on the phone were related to his conversation. I’ll try to find it and post the link. It certainly concerned me.
1sttimelucky : Just find that a very strange investing strategy - so you've been reading this BB for 2 years - when we were sat under 2p but only decided this year to invest ?
Why the Delay ???
hmmm......hard to believe don't you think ?
Bellers.
I experienced a similiar scenario.
Out dog walking with a friend .
We got talking about a renovation he was undertaking, including lintels.
I have never had any reason to search for them.
An hour later on a site i was on .
Advert for building lintels !!!
There are many companies that offer sentiment analysis - its been around for years primarily used by marketing to understand what people are 'feeling' about a brand or a particular product/service. As long as you can access the data set (without needing a login or as service provided by the social media company themselves - its a revenue generator just like selling peoples contact details). Of course with the advent of 'artificial intelligence' the parsing and 'understanding of context' is much more accurate. Even Microsoft have similar capabilities in there Office products for those who use Teams or Yammer for internal company conversations/posts.
As an example then https://www.socialmarketanalytics.com/
