Bad luck everyone, No major RNS today!
Have a good evening, and weekend everyone! that elusive RNS will come when we least expect it!
I'm In no hurry, I trust the BOD to do the best thing to enable them to gain maximum profit from their individual shareholdings, and by association, for us as shareholders, what is good for them is also good for us!
Take care all and stay safe cheers.
Sammy Miller used to use Platinum and other PGMs to decompose Hydrogen Peroxide in a very dramatic way :-)
You take a lunar landing module engine, modify it, and fit it into a fiberglass Ford Mustang car body shell!
It basically consisted of a very strong fuel tank to hold about 30 gallons of Hydrogen Peroxide, two Nitrogen bottles to pressurise the fuel tank and a 3" s/s straight fuel pipe with a valve to open and shut the fuel flow to the rocket motor!
Once the H2O2 liquid hit the platinum gauze in the rocket motor it would violently decompose into water vapor at extreme pressure and generate the thrust, all some 12,000lbs of it, or if you like – 24,000bhp.
Throttle is just ON or OFF, ultimate POWER is determined by how quickly you can get 30 gallons of H2o2 through the motor, and so the higher the fuel tank pressure the more power is generated! you can hear him regulating the fuel tank pressure in this video from 2002, where he is testing out his creation at Santa Pod.
Sammy would pull up to a reputed 13G and at the end of the run require 30 min to recompose, often bleeding from his eyes and ears!
He was a great showman and banned in the US at one time.
0-100mph in 0.36secs.
1/8 mile record 319mph in 1.60 seconds.
1/4 mile record 396mph in 3.58 seconds.
Born April 15, 1945, Test Pilot, Designer, Driver, Builder, and Instructor of Rocket funny cars, dragsters, and motorcycles. World quarter-mile record holder since 1975. United States Congressional Salute and certificate of Merit 1988. World ice speed record 1981. NHRA Division 1 Hall of Fame. Holder of 30 US track and state records. Builder of the world's first approved rocket car 'Spirit of 76'.
The man has a resume that looks more like an excerpt out of the Guinness Book of Records!
Here in Europe Sammy Miller is best known for his Vanishing Point Rocket Cars, 2001, 2002, 2003 which he ran from 1976 to 1986.
Due to popular demand, Santa Pod has brought Sammy Miller back to the UK for 2002!
Here is Sammy out of retirement doing some shakedown testing of his car back in 2002!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDD-E6dpXvE
Here is Sammy where he blows most of the windows out of the control tower from back in 1982!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp_0oMQnhlo
Sadly Sammy is no longer with us, he died doing his day job!
Legendary rocket car pilot Slammin' Sammy Miller was killed in an accident on Tuesday 29th October 2002 whilst working in the Texas oilfields for his company Applied Force.
Samuel Miller Jr., 57, of Wayne, N.J., was killed and eight people were injured after the flash fire explosion at an oil well 10 miles west of Crane.
The incident was unrelated to any of his own work. Sammy's career was one of superlatives.
Just enjoy a few minutes of video fun, never to be repeated, sadly!
Only posted up for entertainment! Whist we wait!
And as an interesting use of PGMs of course :-)
Enjoy, turn up the sound first!
We are all aware of this recent great run happening on Palladium and the associated catalytic converter thefts!
Just a bit from the latest 'Which' mag also highlighting these ongoing thefts and their dramatic rise!
12 APRIL 2021 / MOTORING
Have you had your catalytic converter stolen?
Lisa Barber
Senior Editor & Which? Cars Editor
With case reports increasing, catalytic converter theft appears to be a growing problem. Have you been a victim? We want to hear from you.
Last month the BBC reported a surge in the number of catalytic converters being stolen in London. In August last year it said thefts in England and Wales had risen sixfold.
I’ve noticed an increasing number of posts on social media about the thefts: it’s clear that this is a problem that’s getting worse, not better.
They’re not just being taken under cover of darkness, either. People are reporting having their catalytic converters stolen in supermarket car parks and even while parked up in broad daylight. One local resident reported the thieves cheerfully waving as they drove off.
Those affected are, understandably, angry. Angry there’s nothing they can do about it, bar get a crime number to pass on to their insurance company. Angry that the thieves are so brazen. Angry that it all seems to be so easy for them.
Why are catalytic converter thefts rising?
To get a better understanding of the problem, we spoke with one of the garages on our Which? Trusted Traders scheme. We put the following five questions to IN’n’OUT Autocentres:
?? 1. Why is this issue growing so rapidly?
It’s always been an issue, but a jump from 2,000 reported cases in 2018 across England & Wales to 13,000 in 2019 shows it’s growing rapidly. Following on from repeated lockdowns the likelihood is that theft has increased as cars have been stationary in streets and driveways and not used for weeks. Fewer people out at night time can make thefts easier.
?? 2. How are catalytic converters being removed without anyone noticing?
Unfortunately, they are easy to remove, particularly on large vans and SUVs/4X4s as thieves can get under those vehicles more easily. Again with people being homebound in the evenings due to lockdown there are fewer people on the streets, making it easier to do.
?? 3. What happens to a catalytic converter after it’s stolen?
They get sold for the scrap value or the second-hand market. Prices have rocketed for rhodium, platinum, and palladium, with palladium selling more per gram than gold last year.
?? 4. How much could victims be forced to pay for repairs?
It could be as little £200 depending on the car and the damage caused, or in some cases even into four figures.
?? 5. What can be done to prevent catalytic converter theft?
We’d recommend parking the car in a garage if possible or a well-lit area, have a catlock device fitted, ensure your car alarm is set.
Have you been a victim?
The rise in the value of PGM's continues!
Good morning all
It's Friday, this week has gone very quickly, will the company release another RNS for us to dissect over the weekend?
Today's hopefuls are:-
----------
TJTHEDJ30 - 16/04/21 - Happy Birthday!
BunsenBurner123 - 16/04/21
TOCK - 16/04/21 - Happy 58th Birthday!
1FruitCake - 16/04/21 - After hours!

Good luck everyone!
Until one or the other party confirms or denies it is all speculation!
You are better than that to attack someone without proof,
Just saying.
posted by mistake as an advert popped up and shifted the message box.....
Have a good evening all, cheers.
Evening all,
Today's entrants were:-
----------
MonkeyTom - 15/04/21 - Happy Birthday!
Jack61 - 15/04/21
Hawklaar - 15/04/21
Edfinvest - 15/04/21
----------
Bad luck everyone! NO major RNS today.
Although some here may think that because Kira001 and Frances post in similar ways they, therefore, conclude they are one and the same!
For balance, can I just say Kira001 may be playing you all, there were over two hours between Frances posting on Twitter, and Kira001 posting a similar post here?
Kira001 refuses to admit one way or the other if she is Frances or not, she has been asked several times!
Do not be unkind to Frances on Twitter, she has been a strong supporter of EUA and everyone is entitled to their theory!
Untill one or the other party
Afternoon, Pete,
Yes, it came as a complete shock to us about Gary.
So sorry to hear about your friend and his suspected dementia, things like that just come out of the blue are just awful, we take getting the odd twinge as just the norm in getting old, but don't expect to be struck down with something so awful!
Take care my friend and stay safe, you still can't be too careful out there, Joe public is not abiding by the distancing rules!
And I fear rates may still rise again.
All the best
Ian
Just back from a lovely breakfast meet-up, the sun was lovely and beamed down on us as we sat around the outside table keeping us nice and warm!
Penny, the hotelier, was so pleased to see us all and as we were the only guests for breakfast had the big table in the sun!
On enquiring how Gary her husband was since we last saw him last year, she said not good! she then went on to say that after they both caught COVID off the key workers that were allowed to stay at their guest house and got over that, that poor Gary was then diagnosed with motor neuron disease and kept losing his balance, he used to do the cooking and he now can't stand!
Gary, later came down from their flat and chatted to us for a while, walking unsteadily, even with the use of a stick! He jokingly said two of his oldest friends were going to come round this afternoon and push him around the park in his wheelchair!
He went on to say that if they were both fit it would take them about 6 years to recoup their financial losses due to COVID, and now that he had been recently diagnosed and was unable to pull his weight was not sure how things would work out for the future of the guest house. So sad, a lovely couple, and then to be struck down by this disease!
Health is so very important....
So to my observation this morning, haha, we all know WHO we have in our green bins, if not actually FILTERED and in there, we still know who not to trust on this site as they speak with a forked tongue and never seem to praise the company, only pick holes in positive posters or their posts.
Well, this morning it was so funny to keep on seeing 3 upticks to each and every time one of them posted this morning!
They just had to tick up the others post :-)
As I say, just a fun observation that stood out a mile to me!
At least the norm here is if a poster posts something that the rest here think is good it will get ticked up, but not by the exact same number of ticks!
There can only be 4 working on duty in the boiler room today! haha :-)
Do not look at the share price as anything other than just the price of a ticket to win in the company sale!
Its price is so disconnected that it is a joke!
You just need to be holding your shares when the company is sold if you want a chance to win!
The company is still in an FSP! WE have NOT been informed of anything to the contrary.
Things have moved on at an alarming pace and for the good of the company!
If you cannot see that every step the company takes is an accretive one, you are missing out on something fundamental here!
This BOD is top-notch in my view, and I can't wait to see if they release any more news during the upcoming EGM on the 28th of this month!
Good luck to the genuinely invested here, we all have a good idea who they are from their past posting history.
Keep up with the jokes captain Tilly, all the real investors love'em :-) some joviality does no harm at all and goes a long way to help pas
Good morning all,
Nice post Stonk,
Wish me luck with our first breakfast meet-up of 2021, this new COVID rule of only allowing 'OUTSIDE dining' when the weather is only 2'c leaves one with reservations!
Tring to eat a hot breakfast while keeping warm at a temperature lower than inside most people's fridges has lost some of its appeal for me!
On a nice sunny morning mid-summer no problem at all and very nice! I might see if I can still squeeze into my old thermally insulated 'Stephens' motorcycle clothing onesie :-)
Today's entrants are:-
----------
MonkeyTom - 15/04/21 - Happy Birthday!
Jack61 - 15/04/21
Hawklaar - 15/04/21
Edfinvest - 15/04/21
----------
Good luck everyone!
Be back later on, cheers.
Good evening all,
Not been a bad day weather-wise down here.
Today's hopefuls were:-
----------
LittleRedRooster - 14/04/21 - Your late brother's 60th birthday!
Chrisalfa - 14/04/21 - Happy Birthday to your wife!
Tharauk - 14/04/21 - After hours!
----------
Bad luck everyone, NO major RNS today!
Phoned the guest house to see if they are still trading? Penny, the hotelier answered and I said hello, Ian here of the Thursday boys, how are you keeping? She and her husband Gary were fine and the guest house was still going, just!
I enquired, any chance of breakfast for three tomorrow?
Yes of course, but it is all outside on the patio, fantastic I said, see you at 07.45 tomorrow!
The weather forecast is sunny but at 08.00 is only going to be 2'c :-( so better ask for some extra hot plates, or this first new breakfast meet up of 2021 is going to end up with us eating a freezing cold cooked breakfast :-)
Have a good evening all, cheers.
Morning 1144523, hope little 524 is doing well :-)
Yes, I posted up yesterday that Halifax will not send out the paperwork unless you have contacted them previously and then put a 'Marker' on your account to say you are interested in voting on corporate actions/AGMs, and then as you say you get the paperwork and pre-paid envelop to return your vote!
As the paperwork did not turn up yesterday, I contacted them by phone to make sure they got my vote in time!
I think Halifax might just be slow, and advise giving them a phone call, just to be sure!
Good luck mate.
Good morning, Tricky57, and all.
Just a reminder everyone to advise your broker on how you wish to vote (FOR The Resolution) ... This is Important!
You want to give the BOD your support in what they are trying to achieve!
If not, you are not investing in EUA's future and YOUR shareholding's future growth!
I have already voted 'IN FAVOUR' of the resolution.
Today's hopefuls are:-
----------
LittleRedRooster - 14/04/21 - Your late brother's 60th birthday!
Chrisalfa - 14/04/21 - Happy Birthday to your wife!
Tharauk - 14/04/21 - After hours!
----------
Good luck everyone, this is getting very interesting now :-)
Cheers.
Evening all, been around the in-laws since 12 pm, they must feel I'm undernourished or something as they fed me on two filet steaks, chips, and peas!
looks like I missed some fun here today :-)
Thought I better report on our only entrant and say sorry, no luck today to Hu44122 - 13/04/21 X
Signing off now as too tired and only just got back home, catch you all tomorrow, cheers!
Just a heads up for Halifax users, I get all paperwork sent to me to vote at EGMs AGMs, etc, all you do is fill in the form on how you wish to vote, and Halifax as the holder of your uncertificated shares vote on your behalf at the EGM.
You will NOT be sent anything if you have not previously spoken to Halifax and said that you wish to partake in voting at any company meetings!
Once you have contacted them they place a 'marker' on your account that you wish to partake in and from then on send you paperwork to vote on!
Best get ringing if you haven't already :-)
Good luck.
Morning Newtothis,
"Ian, it’s not an Emergency meeting as you seem to think, it’s called an Extraordinary General meeting and is very common for companies to hold them despite the name"
I will take it on the chin, I used an incorrect explanation of EGM, so please accept my apology :-)
BUT in fairness -
"The extraordinary general meeting is utilized to deal with URGENT matters that come up between annual shareholders' meetings"
So what I was trying to convey anyway.
Good morning all, and an even colder start to the day, the sun will be out soon to warm the place up.
You know my current theory,
I posted it up a few days ago!
The BOD is land grabbing as much extra real estate as they can at the last minute!
They have just spent a very small amount to stop anyone else from being able to box them in, they now have unlimited expansion potential!
Posters think that with the last RNS that mentioned the 'WORD' rights issue, the company is thinking of going it alone!
Not to me, it doesn't!
It is purely a housekeeping exercise, in this particular case, last year this resolution was not passed because of a problem in vote counting, and as stated, NOT needed anyway due to having just raised millions by selling shares at par!
This missing resolution to enable the company to raise funds by a rights issue has been present in all previous AGMs and voted in favor of, so passed with NO problem!
The fact it has just raised its head, and because an EMERGENCY General meeting has been called to fix this omission, posters think the worst and think the sale is off, and we need to raise funds to go it alone!
Well, sorry, the sale is still full-on, we have NOT been told otherwise by any RNS?
This missing ability to allow the company to do a rights issue will be seen as a weakness in any negotiation by any other party, most if not all companies have this proviso, it is standard business acumen to have another way to raise capital, IF ever needed.
My logic is this -
The company sort a DFS, it recommended mining from the two mines, concurrently to maximize output!
The company responded by RNS stating THAT is NOT their plan!
Rember that Sinosteel loan -
"This new contract is basically a loan package and EPC contract, so a turnkey operation to develop the mine and plant to extract platinum group metals, precious metals, and base metals from the deposits we've been exploring.
“It's basically a one-step turnkey contract with financing already conceptually in place for when we get the go-ahead from the Russian government to develop the mine,” Schaffalitzky added.
Sinosteel will construct and commission the mine with the contract in total worth US $176mln"
They have been kicking that loan down the road for years now!
To me, the company is just grabbing as much as it can in the final throws, it wants to give the impression of maximizing its mining output and profit, but knows the full cost involved is prohibitive and better for the big boys to take on!
The only reason to get this resolution passed with an EGM when they could have waited till the NEXT AGM is it is required ASAP!
So if it is required so quickly, and very unlikely to be used as intended, cash not a current issue, that can only mean one thing!
WE are on the verge of completing a sale!
Only me applying some logic to what I see, what do you think?
Today's only hopeful is:-
Hu44122 - 13/04/21
Good luc
Evening all, no last-minute RNS today!
After all the negative hype we ended the day up on the news from last Friday, everything the BOD does lately is seemingly accretive in some way!
Today's hopefuls were:-
----------
NitroKev - 12/04/21
Carskennygreen - 12/04/21
SkankerMan - 12/04/21 - Happy 53rd Birthday!
Hawkspear - 12/04/21 - Happy Birthday for yesterday!
PokerSam - 12/04/21 - Happy 62nd Birthday!
----------
Bad luck all, NO major RNS today, but we did end the day up 1p .....
Have a good evening all, cheers.
