Just got back from a lovely breakfast meet up with the rest of the Thursday boys after a subdued start,

Penny was holding up well after losing her husband, Garry, to MND,

I think because she has lots of staff and people around her, she is showing a brave face at the moment?

She thanked us for our card and said we have two more Thursday breakfast meetups to go, as the Guest House has been sold and she has to be out by Monday the 16th of May,

All the staff will be made redundant as the planning permission to convert the Guest House into flats has been granted and the new owner takes over from Monday the 16th May as far as I know!

Very sad news as Southend will lose a lovely Guest House, there will be a sale of fittings, and Penny will have to find somewhere to live in the longer term, in the short term she will probably stay with one of her daughters?

I see Mr_Wolfe's post has been removed, he can never say something nice, without some sort of added dig!

Off to see the In-laws as they knew Garry from his old rugby days and will be very saddened to hear that the Gleneagles has been sold off!

One way to scrounge a coffee and see how the fish pond is doing :-)

At least we ended yesterday up, nice to see,

Bloomin cold outside today,

Becky's scabs and stitches have all but now gone overnight, and she is recovering very well, she is just off to catch the train to London, relieved, that people will not be staring at her face any more from today,

The Thursday breakfast meet up is still on for today, whether our usual venue is open, or not, will depend on the number of hotel guests staying, we always have a backup venue plan for contingencies where food is concerned,

Stay strong everyone and good luck to all of us with our investments in this strange new world, that has been turned upside down, by the actions of just one man and his desire to conquer another country, because he can!

Praying for an end to this madness,

This current situation was not of EUA's making and is out of its hands,

The business is carrying on with the day job, as usual, the company is still up for sale, (we have not been told otherwise) and likely buyers, are, (We are told) from a BRICS country,

Very sadly, Garry lost his fight to MND on Friday evening and will be sadly missed by so many...

This latest sad news is not in the press as of yet, but this is from the Echo dated 19th March about his condition,

Bad luck chaps, but you didn't really expect one, just hoped:-)

Becky's lip is healing up very well, and the scab on her bottom lip along with three stitches has all but vanished, and the only big scab left is the one that has two stitches in it just below her bottom lip, it is about 1cm round and 5mm thick and with the ends of the stitches poking through looks like a big hairy wart, the sort Uncle Buck keeps looking at on the face of his niece's school teacher.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEt5dEOcW0I

All in, Becky is recovering very well, thanks to those enquiring, and as soon as the stitches dissolve, we expect the scab to release and drop off.

Lovely to see the share price up,

A lovely breakfast meetup this morning with five old retirees turning up, but it was overshadowed when we asked Sallie the waitress where Penny was, she went on to explain that Penny had spent last night at the Fair Havens Hospice by Garry's bedside and he was not expected to last throughout the rest of today!

After only being diagnosed with MND in April of last year the speed that this illness has advanced has shocked us all to the core, from being a perfectly normal person to being virtually paralysed down his left-hand side, and now to losing the ability to breathe on his own, his remaining time is measured in hours not day's, his family and poor Penny must be very distraught and grief-stricken.

I stopped off to get a card on the way home as I know it will be needed imminently and will sign it off from all the 'Thursday Boys' such a sad loss of a such a lovely man who did so much for the local community...

I'm still here, just disgusted with Putin and his war machine causing worldwide problems, death, food shortages, inflation, the list goes on....

We invested in a British company operating in Russia, that at the time was wanting outside investment and had opened itself up since the fall of the iron curtain, we thought Russia had changed for the better, Putin said he had no intention of invading Ukraine....

He lied .... and is now seemingly wiping Ukraine off the face of the earth destroying everything, it is so hard to watch it being played out on the media,

We invested in EUA to make some money to ease life and the company has done nothing wrong and increased shareholder value by enlarging the company assets and taking on joint ventures with Rosgeo,

We have been informed that currently there are no sanctions against EUA, and the company is still up for sale to a BRICS
country, so, still all good.

Even Putin's inner circle are questioning his actions and thinks his actions are putting Russia back 30 years!

Much more up to date company information will be forthcoming at the company's AGM, but investors are not happy while Putin carries on doing what he does with blatant disregard for human life....

It is very difficult to find anything good to talk about at the moment, we hope and pray the war ends imminently, and then things might start to return to some form of normality...

Everyone has their own thoughts on what the outcome will be,

I'm just disgusted with Putin and his out of control actions so can find nothing to be positive about, I expect TillyWhiz is of a similar disposition, and when things improve will be back on deck, and we have all been positive about the company's future prospects in the past.

We have no one down for today's game and I'm off to get ready for the Thursday breakfast meetup and will be back later.

Becky seems to be healing up very well, the big scab on her bottom lip that had three stitches in it just dropped off when the dissolvable stitches dissolved through and only now has the scab with two stitches in it just below her bottom lip to go! she looks like she is sporting a micro Goatee beard :-)

Sorry for the late reply, as the weather was so lovely yesterday I persuaded Becky to go for a mini picnic with me at Southchurch Park, it has a model boating lake and I used to spend my youth there with my radio-controlled model boat when I could get the model engine started!!

Back then, most model boats were either the Diesel or Glow plug type, now they are apparently banned and only electric motors permitted, due to the noise! spoilsports....

Only an R/C sailing yacht was using the boating lake, but it was a lovely time spent with Becky out in the first real hot day of 2022.

Anyway, I digress, sorry for the late reply, but so happy for you that the outcome has been so good, and you feel fine, and are just under the normal six-monthly review, fantastic news!

Good Friday is looking to be a lovely sunny day here, and once the mist, fog, and low clouds clear in Dover, the sun will break through there.

Becky's lip is getting better by the day, overnight a big part of her lip scab about 8mm x 5mm went awol and the lip tissue underneath looks very normal and healthy, unfortunately, there is no trace of it on her pillow, so she thinks she may have accidentally ingested it! yuck!

Wolfe, previously banned several times has no morals or any real ideas!

No matter what political party is in power, they can not cure worldwide inflation, and that was what I was referring to!

This hyperinflation is not a UK specific problem, and if you think a change of political party will be able to cure it, dream on!

The worldwide cost of food production and energy has escalated, with no quick fix for any country.
