Rapper, hope to see you on the Bellway board.
Does seem smart to keep the dividend at 60% of EPS with margins coming under pressure.
thank you Trouts/if they now act like a 500sp co what div should they pay this year as surely this 500sp BOD would not like the stigma of cutting the div as this would reflect on their decision to pay 33p in the first place as they should have seen the probability of lower profits coming
Crest Nicholson is one of those companies where as long as the management stay true to the basic principles they should be sound in the medium/long term. I've seen the houses they build and heard the comments of some people who've bought them, and they are good! If I was in the market for a house right now I would definitely consider their new builds. As long as they build stuff that is good quality and don't reduce that in an effort to cut costs, then I am happy that market sentiment will eventually realise they are solid. My personal view is they should behave like a company with a 500p share price and pay dividends accordingly. The market will catch up eventually!
could be reduced by less than that if as I suspect their profits guidance was conservative. im still bullish on both short and longer term
hi Terrace great to see you on this board.do hope sain and the others will follow
Hi Rapper....Could be reduced by 50% to bring it level with their peers on a 1/3 of EPS basis.
what is the likelihood that crst will cut the dividend? if slim then you could bet the ranch on the shares as with divs reinvested compound interest will double your money before you can say Hallelujah
Does anyone know how much Crest is affected by the proposed Leasehold reform?
How many single dwellings have Crest sold as leasehold?
How much have they put aside to redress leaseholders?
How many Help2Buy properties have they sold?
Thanks.
I have bought some more today expecting fundamentals will drive it higher and once the woodford shadow/shorts are listed we will get 20% uplift. Fingers crossed.
only one negative thing here is the margins are down little bit other than that great company.
should result in a rerate . Profit is down but forward selling seems to be a factor. Where else is such a great return available?

Buidling costs heading North sale prices at the gate heading south.Pivotal point They aren' t miracle workers Cold winds already heading out of London
Increasing amount of inventory taken on with part exchanges (cash generation with one hand, depreciating asset on the books with the other) and new launches arriving with incentives
Fine and the move to BTR a good defensive strategy but difficlut to see overall that as a backdrop for a rerarte
plus a great cash generation strategy - expecting a re rate here,
We have added this to the top of our recovery stock list , May possible drop some more yet, especially when the FTSE has its summer dip.
GFRD has also been added and a general watch on builders. They (builders etc) always have their ups and downs which gives us all a chance to buy on the downs before selling with the ups.
See if truscott can knacker this company up like he’s done at galliford
looks like we doubled our dividend today .nice
Who likes the new London South East Beta Website
£4 This week
rns today confirms focus on cash - spot on in my viewand market will appreciate this I am sure.
Better week ahead u hope down about 13% since last Monday, div was only around 5%. So over done, i hope!
Hope so!
Big drop
All IMO.
Mail on Sunday article promting Yields on Divi payers...Misleading IMO as it does not warn against posible retracements to the SP to the value of the Divi onthe day they go EX Div....Naughty IMO but lets see if there are some retail buyers who will hopefully push the SP higher this week...
Crest should get to 409p by Wednesday, then dividend Thursday, so a quiet guys by Berekeley or MM's should see this rise to 430 or 440 by end of.month and then maybe a buy out bid?
