Demos, I took the view that asp's were skewed because of site specific factors aand the demand for houses would lift the sp over the summer.
Depressing to read the results. A real cold shower. Volumes down more than expected (more than can be blames on Covid). ASPs down significantly too. Looks like a company in permanent restructuring mode, chasing it's own tail. Going to be a long climb back for this one.
Won't be the first company to come out with bad trading or results this year i bet more companies are queuing up .
Just bought £5k at 224- expecting a bounce here.[ flogged tw so neutral to sector].
to be honest,at first glance the numbers look awful and the forward looking comments don't inspire.
could be a red day here ,still not trading .
Results were solid in the circumstances but I thought overly cautious about the future - we shall see.
Crest Nicholson will announce its half year results for the period ending 30 April 2020 on Wednesday 24 June 2020.
It was 7.10% up earlier now is 10.50% with the offer at 267.20p and a rise of 25p
Well on the rise, yes with the Market but the % is much better than any other Housebuilder 7.10%
Managed to finish on the UP though there was work to get it to yesterday closing price 229p, peers finishing all down like the Market FTSE down 90 points, almost worse of the day

So the 255m available cash includes the 56m unpaid dividend then?
terrace
I hope is the last post about the dividend
The cash balance only change once a payment is been done
as the dividend was not paid the balance is the same.
if you can NOT understand the earlier post then ask an accountant to explain better
It seems you are trying to twisted now
note - They have the same cash as before on the balance sheet ( as the dividend was not paid ), if they had paid the dividend then it would had been discounted from the balance they had at the time £185.3m.
You have lost me there. If they have cancelled the dividend, they have 56m extra cash dont they?
re -So where is the 56m dividend saving reflected then?
On the shareholders not receiving it, but the balance would be the same but have increased to £255.2m
If they had paid the dividend then £185.3m - £56m of dividend = £129.3m
So where is the 56m dividend saving reflected then?
Hanzini
re - cancellation of dividend
That has nothing to do with the cancellation but .....
... the Company had £255.2m cash at bank. The increased cash position, up from available cash of £185.3m announced on 19 March 2020, reflects a strong focus on receipt collections, disciplined build spend as activity was wound down, and where possible deferral of land spend
Positive update on re-starting and higher cash £255.2m cash at bank (£185.3 on 19 March 2020 )
I will have to give myself a "pat on the back" for the timing
MasterRSI - RE: I was crestfallen when I bought these Tue 16:24
That will be bad because I bought @ 224.40p this afternoon
I reckon the retracement has been done since the rise to 324p and that was a good 76.8%
i wonder why they aren't mentioning the cancellation of the dividend as a reason why the cash balance is higher...any ideas?
looking little bit better this morning ,hopefully back to normal soon.

at 407p thinking they had fallen too far but averaged down at 240p. I expect the worse is over for CREST and the SP should be 300p at a minimum. Too cheap for sure at these levels.
Is going places today, and at this rate is looking for a BREAKOUT from the last intraday high
