US stock futures rise with Israel-Iran deescalation, chip rebound in focus
Investing.com -- U.S. stock index futures rose early-Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said a peace deal with Iran was close, while chipmaking stocks appeared poised to further extend a rebound rally.
S&P 500 Futures rose 0.3% to 7,436.75 points by 02:41 ET (06:41 GMT). Nasdaq 100 Futures rose 0.66% to 29,650.25 points, while Dow Jones Futures rose 0.1% to 50,899.0 points.
Futures rose after initially falling on Monday evening, as Wall Street remained skittish on uncertainty over the Gulf war, interest rates, and a recent wipeout in chip stocks.
Wall Street clocked a mixed session on Monday, with chipmaking stocks rebounding from bruising losses, while other, economically-sensitive sectors lagged.
Iran, Israel halt strikes for now; Trump flags ’total victory’ in two weeks. Iran and Israel said on Monday they had halted attacks on each other for now, following an appeal for deescalation from U.S. President Donald Trump.
