Get yourself together; the trades were 50K shares and 25K shares not "£"

Shorts are in round figures, not like the example... 50,233 of 25,569.

Also the word "shorts," meaning people that are interested in lower share price ( 4 large trades in 18 seconds)

Doing shorts or some large sales brings the bid down, and that is what happened when 37.70p at the time eventually it went to 36.10p.

Maybe you should learn a bit more about trading and again read my post... "one after another" 4 trades in 18 seconds, that means is more than one person doing it at the same time ( shorts )

A bit of a resume of early trading...

A good start to the day as the SP went to 37.70 v 39p, the order book was very strong, giving the full bid price up to 80,000 shares to sell. Then came the SHORTS and took advantage of that and 5 trades came along one after another, 50k, 25k, 20. 15k and 25K, till it settled at the now price 37.40 v 38p. Despite plenty more large sales is holding well and up for the day,

In conclusion, it must be a large buyer in the background
