You should remember that disclaimer, "other internet providers are available" haha I thank you for highlighting virgins numbers but correct me if am wrong and I'm sure you will but what use are virgin media though when you can't invest in them? You can invest in city though
Virgin Media is the alternative provider, not CityFibre. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/02/16/virgin_signs_up_215000_fibre_customers/
Discotrader, what a lot of cap, go and and do your reasearch from a reputable company. CityFibre''s non exective chairman who has just resigned commented the company''s costs are increasing rapidly and there doesn't seem to be an increase in demand
HawkA1, haha, still posting stupid comments as you were before. Some mothers do 'Ave them. Haha
echMarketView have published a New Research Note. Not a subscriber but they are well followed, so may generate some interest now. Friday 03 March 2017 *NEW RESEARCH*: CityFibre – building Britain’s broadband future In any two horse race, backing the second favourite is always a good bet and UK wholesale fibre specialist CityFibre is now poised to become a credible competitor to BT Openreach. The company grew its revenue 134% last year after buying network assets from KCOM and Redcentric, and continues to capitalise on the political and financial stimulus behind improving the UK’s digital infrastructure coupled with pent-up demand for high speed fibre broadband from businesses and consumers. www.techmarketview.com/ukhotviews/archive/2017/03/02/new-research-cityfibre-digging-britains-broadband-future
Or maybe Elhumphrey has closed his short and thats why we have had a decent rise over the last couple of days haha
I think youve misread my post, I dont have any problem with your post as I take everything thats said on here with a pinch of salt. I was asking about your interest in this share, nothing else! You do seem bitter though?
Discotrader, you seem to have a problem with my posts. Well that's your problem
Hm interesting thought Discotrader DYOR always
Having gone through you comments on city, you dont seem to have a good word on them but more than happy to keep posting? I dont quite understand your interest in this share, have you lost money here and feeling a bit bitter?
Virgin Media swallows 215,000 new fibre customers in it's fourth quarter and Revenue a rose 1 per cent to £1,227m https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/02/16/virgin_signs_up_215000_fibre_customers/
City would get snapped up one day as long as they live within their means and expand slowly.
They prob bought them from the receiver and so it all was out in the open. You make it sound like it was up a dark street lol lol lol DYOR
Director of the SFO, David Green CB QC, said: We will now turn our attention to securing confiscation of criminal assets from THOSE CONVICTED. As far as I am aware although i am happy to be corrected. City Fibre have not been convicted of any wrong doing DYOR
H20 assets which CityFibre picked up technically belong to KBC and Barclays Bank. If the Serious Fraud office (SFO) confiscate the criminal assets as they have indicated, it may lead to the demise of CityFibre.
No mention of massively increased costs last year and fierce competition expected this year
Not available where I live
i was thinking of doing the opposite! VM charging me £45 a month just for 100meg broadband, no phone, tv or anything. failed to mention i could have opted out of there recent £4 pcm price increases. Scum if you ask me. Vodafone offering cable broadband now whom ill probably change to when the contract runs out. Good luck here though, seems interesting.
No mention of massively increased costs last year and fierce competition expected this year
Yes I just flipped back from Sky to VM because they massiely undercut on price.
VM is rolling out FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) across the UK including Scotland on a massive scale this year connecting Residential Customers as well as Businesses and is a lot cheaper than CityFibre.
