Okay so they sell €344 million of NPL's and 11% of its market cap is wiped. Doesn't add up for me. Massive volume last Friday and today. Someone is filling their boots at these prices. Expect an RNS very shortly. Has anybody else got any opinions on why banks in general are taking such a hit. I though the Feds guidance last week would have been a good thing for NIM down the line.......
DOW and US Banks are up...this share has recovered already from this morning. To about 2% down in line with similar European banks. Nothing to worry about and it's a buy
I bought more shares today... it's very hard to predict the bottom of a fall in the S.P but for me it feels like a very good top up price. Time will tell. GLA.
Good move Irish Renegade.
The markets got rattled people got spooked - calm now. up we go around 4.90 will settle hover back up 5.13 days ahead. (Leo Varadkar says irish economy is going to rocket in the months ahead) News about the KBC/davy deal up - results out 2/8/21 - big jump up before late july over 6euros - hold me to this FBS!
With the KBS/davy deal - Trading at half book value! Over 9euros is on the cards next year - (covid distant memory)
Doubling of the share price within a year..optimistic silverhorse but you are often right.
True. FBS will have to sell his house now to buy more - my cut of point was 4.23 - but i bought more - johnhume - Was thinking of selling GGP at a lost and buy here now
I dont know about GGP but will look at it as you are one of the few here who I find knowledgeable, cutting through the bs and ramping up of others. Boi still a buy
Just back could not look at it anymore - i see i got more 4.471 - Its going to be fun watching this go over 6euros holding firm.
Have a order at 4.41 - it will not go there just some cash
This is a bloodly day for my stocks am down on profit= over 50k but still up 100k
Playing the long game silverhorse
Yeah your right !!! 3.5 Euro by August in truth. You cant talk share prices up, not you nor your pal lmao
ECR is the way forward lots of good news lots of gold listen and learn you 2 muppets !!!
This is BOI forum not ECR...so no need to ramp it up. We will see who the muppet is ....this time next year we may not be millionaires but you will be eating humble pie wasbenlittle.
Tough few days alright. Breaking news this morning that Irish Gov is selling their BIRG stock - hopefully will result in a bounce for us all!
Added a few BIRG shares yesterday at 4.47 to average down a tiny bit.
Sold at 5.50 euro. Thank god! Selling all of my Irish shares - why I invested in BIRG - I don't kniw. But made a profit - thank god!
Add a few more today son and you will average down even more, do the same next week and you will average down even more ……. press repeat, son !
I should listen to my gut 4.23 cut off point - The good news is he knows the shares are going to go up probably reading here - Bank of ireland should buy some shares off the government -Bank of Ireland group chief executive Francesca McDonagh welcomed today's announcement, adding that it was "a positive step - for Irish taxpayers, the Irish economy, and Bank of Ireland".
Was a stupid move alright radar - waste of a few hundred euro. Going to sell up everything now.
Hard to know how to proceed here. 4.25 looks appealing but there must be a specific reason for this big drop from around 5.50 a few weeks ago, apart from profit taking that is.
Anyway, we will see....
Fontenoy - You smell a rat? I would say no davy deal - KBS yes - The government should of waited until next year or on the positive note he knows the shares will rocket - right now its a 90% buy
FBS - Your only down a bit on your profits just like me but far more - very confident all will work out over 6euros
My paper profit is down 70k still up 90k
