To the best of my knowledge, these are not junior law firms in any way, but seriously high profile and among the best.
Fröberg & lundholm is a land and environmental law specialist, at that.
if it has an effect? Who knows. But it is a ballsy move and I like the approach...

There is the law, there is economic planning and there is humanity. Here is a video my daughter showed me. It’s all about perspective....

Sounds more like desperation than anything.
Just take a step back, what exactly can BEM do? In the grand scheme of things absolutely nothing, in short they have submitted their application and are awaiting a reply.
You've got to be proactive but are restricted at every level. The government wants no more dialogue on the application so you have to be seen to be actually doing something.
This latest effort is just one of many such actions, giving the illusion that Beowulf Mining are in control of the situation.
Save the legal stuff until the government makes a decision and it's the wrong one.
What has been implicit for years now has just been clarified and made slightly more explicit.
That there is no legal reason for a lack of a ( yes ) decision and hasn’t been for almost 2 years.
If the law is sufficient a yes should be easy.
The fact that it is anything but easy confirms that the swedes are perfectly comfortable in the corner into which they have painted themselves...
Law firms, plural. I think Ibjj is correct in saying it's not a threat of legal action, but applying pressure by offering legal opinions vs the governments statement that Swedish law is sufficient.
I realise some LTHs would rather KB started legal action vs the Swedish govt, but what he’s doing is the smart way to exert pressure; rather than going straight to hostilities, sharing the legal advice he has been given. No doubt the law firm is a specialist in public law that will have run successful judicial review cases previously. Doing it this way allows both sides to avoid huge court action costs and getting into entrenched positions. Starting actual proceedings would be risky and also, potentially, slower. In the game of politico/legal chess this is a good move.
The statement is not a threat of legal action.
Judicial Review on the cards - well done Kurt!
"I note that, the Fröberg & Lundholm and Mannheimer Swartling law firms have found no new facts pertaining to the application for an Exploitation Concession. The case was made in the Company's final detailed submission to Government in February 2018 and over the last 6.5 years.
"The Statement's conclusion, that sufficient facts have been submitted for awarding Beowulf the Concession, speaks for itself.
"The Company and its shareholders have endured delay after delay, and if, as stated by the Government, Swedish law is sufficient for assessing the Kallak application, and the assessment should be 'by the book', then we hope that this Statement will enable the Government to also conclude that a Concession should be awarded.
"The Company looks forward to updating the market on further developments."
Thanks for the reply Ss. Great points you make. Yes, I want Kurt to do more now, because the waiting period for us has been stretched by the Government to the acutely ridiculous (quite some time ago) and this is wholly unacceptable. Not sure if Baylan feels any strain whatsoever though, with the delivery of decisions something that appears to be unimportant. Ha ha.
I appreciate what you say about the media. Lots of things happening in Sweden that gain precedent over mining news. Rightly so.
I do hope that the old ghost of Clive past doesn't pop up to haunt us again, but some folks still no doubt purposely switch off to what Kurt has been consistently mentioning, regarding his plans for the future of the project, particularly with the plan for inclusion of all communities
being an important factor for us, everyone to then share the benefits of a green mining project.
I realise some will never want that, but we can only do our bit.
The politics at play here would have sunk many a ship, yet we remain afloat. For now. Lol.
Best wishes.
Re Eric,
No. of shares is indeed increasing...step by step by step. And it is selected investors that benefit from the dilution.
I agree Kurt needs to push for a status report, at the very least, in order to get clarity and secure that we are moving towards a decision. With Swedish government, good things do not come to those who wait.
As for Swedish media, I am afraid there will not be much help there. There is full focus on the current epidemic of bombings and shootings, in public spaces, over here. When that is under control, yes, but until then...not so much. And that is of course the right prioritization, even if both come from the same governmental inability to yank one's thumb out.
We have the filing of complaint at the Konstitutionsutskott (KU), which is an internal affairs type of unit within the Swedish parliament, regarding the delayed decision for Kallak and Laver mines. No signs yet of how it is being handled, but there could be hopes for this to help a decision. Unfortunately there is also a news piece by investigative reporter's (a show called Uppdrag Granskning) coming Thursday about the Swedish mineral's act. Judging by the trailer, though, it may cause more harm than good. Seems to focus on land owner's rights and "land grabbing exploration companies". Let us hope trailer is misleading. I hope we will not forced to swallow Sinclair Poulton's ignorant "what local people?" one more time.
Beowulf of today is of course an entirely different being, clear on its cooperational stance.
These words die hard though...

"Forthcoming" was over a month ago. I'd like more specifics now from Kurt, on just what is happening with the Government, as in, for him to seek a detailed reason as to why there's still the delay over our case. What stage is the dossier at, etc. We can't keep waiting until the next presentation or conference, to see if we are lucky enough to be discussed.
We now have over 600 million shares in issue, so it's vital that Kurt delivers on Kallak this year, if he is to keep throwing money at Vardar. We need the sp up.
Dwindling our investment is. As Yoda might say.
Cheers me 'andsomes.
That was heroic Glacial, poetry in fact. Christmas!...shivver me timbers.
Morning All.
Never fear, I'm awake.
We need a Xmas present this year we been waiting for our present ...7th year
That"s it. Nothing else surmises this hideous delay.
I said thus, at least three years ago.
Sirius is worth a second thought. We could easily find ourselves in the same situation, mit permit. All in all, an effing nightmare.
However. I"m nearly on the road to nowhere. It has been a pleasure to read you all blethering on for years. Ciao.
I'm beginning to think they hand out licence's as a way of a free geological survey to find out exactly what the obscure regions of Sweden are actually sitting on.
As a point of interest how did Vardar Minerals Limited arrive at a figure of over 7 million pound valuation? (I think that figure is correct, just got in from the pub).
Vardars presentations of its Balkan projects don't reveal much just the usual illustrated upbeat report of potential mineralisation.
To be honest I can't be rsed to do any homework on all this diversification for me its Kallak or nothing, and at this moment in time its nothing.
I know it makes sense to diversify but can any investor here shed any light on throwing money at Vardar Minerals?
I still wonder why governments are happy to hand out exploration licences when there is no prospect of mining ie The Swedish government and Routevare. How much did we end up wasting there?
So more money to support vardar, but doesn't say what we get out of it. Are we having a few more percent of vardar minerals with this support? The last 100k got us another percent or so. We can't just be giving them money for nothing.
Interesting to see what the legal advisors say, I'm guessing the application is watertight etc etc.
Company is adding value and able to find support. All good...
tintin - at least the placing price is a bit close to the actual SP this time. Although that's only because the SP still hasn't recovered after the last placing.
and another :(
interesting though;
"In Sweden, we are concluding our work with legal advisers regarding our Kallak application, as we wait on a decision from the Swedish Government.
Good Morning Pabslabs...rise and shine. ;-)
Nighty night the others. X
You still got the plot...
I'm in Asia gmt+8
Interesting Sooz. I didn't see it.
There'll be more than that I'm sure.
Have I forgotten what time/day it is again...am I losing the plot? Lol
The more the merrier
Good evening Suzy
