Who should I be more disappointed in?
Baylan is a politician, therefore, he is, by nature, self-serving and mendacious. He is, arguably, doing exactly what might be expected.
There are no complex legal issues, as Baylan has previously stated. If the application were deficient, this would have been identified long before now, and the application denied.
There are clear issues for Baylan, but these are not around the suitability of the application (which fully satisfies the various requirements of the process). These are entirely political issues, around the Sami and his government’s coalition partners.
If Baylan were considering the application solely within the law, then it would have been approved months ago. He is not. He is wanting to look after his friends, and to not create an issue for what is, clearly, a fragile coalition. He cannot say no, but he can delay.
If there are any complex legal issues for Baylan to consider, it is those that might arise if the government unfairly rejects the application and has then to face up to the legal appeal that would certainly follow.
Blimey, I only asked, how exactly do you back him and support him.
A few responses but no definitive answers.
No ridicule Suzy its how you interpret.

An article just posted on Avanza
Hi Geo. Best of luck with your purchase yesterday. Many of us on here bought years ago when the sp was much higher, so did have the bottle. The "forthcoming" term may have again been used by Baylan yesterday, I'm not sure, but he certainly mentioned that in his reply to Kurt's letter. The problem being, that using such a term in no way specifically defines a timescale, iwhich of course suits the Government only, and, I feel, after all the time taken over our case to date, is a totally unacceptable term to use now. If priority was supposedly given to our application in April, then "forthcoming" was applicable then, and a decision should already be here now. Months ago in fact. No, years ago. Lol.
Thinking about specific dates then, they have been dished out by the Government for receipt timescales in respect of all of our submissions, and for the submissions of those parties with an involvement in our case, so the same should have applied equally to the Government, while administering this process. We shouldn't have been left dangling without a stated timeline from the Government, for conclusion of these proceedings.
We have been totally let down by the Government throughout the application process, and, particularly so since it received all final comments on our case. The result of us waiting indefinitely of course, not least of all, being the damage to our market cap, with Kurt having to continually raise funds at a low sp, hence more signifcant dilution.
Before the year is out, I believe Kurt surely must address Baylan again, pointing towards the Government's responsibility for our woes, and to seek a date for conclusion of our case. Providing that is, we continue to hear nothing specific from Baylan or Gov in the meantime.
I'm sick of this saturation of politics preventing our progress and damaging our Company.
Only my thoughts Geo.
Best wishes.
Could have bought more but saving a big wedge just in case itv ever drop lower than what sold them at recent. Kicking myself.
Re bullax.
I have although my bullax are obviously smaller than yours as I only topped up 20000. lol
If Baylan did say 'Forthcoming' then that is a pretty good outcome from yesterday. Another good outcome is that a member of the Environmental Party has been in the media saying that her party doesn't want the Kallak mine to be approved. That is another good indicator that it is on its way to being approved.
It was me that bought 100,000 yesterday morning at 5.695p. Anyone else out there got the bullax to do this?
I'd say How'd you do Kurt....make mine a Jokkmokk Sundowner without the reindeer sausage.
I could go on....you know I could...but I've said enough ...so 'll love you and leave you for today. Till tomorrow, then, adieu. ;-)
Have you finished?
I would like to ask you a question.
If you were to meet Kurt, what would be your key message to him, bearing in mind you have invested a lot of time, effort, emotional energy and money into his company, without the merest hint of the outcome which undoubtedly motivated you to invest so much if yourself here?
Just saying again....your last sentence doesn't make any sense at all, to me anyway:
"Of course if a positive decision is "forthcoming" he will be the best thing since sliced bread and everyone will be singing his praises. But the result of that will be that most on here will sell, thereby ending any or all support that they had in the first place."
It's true enough that most will sell....but there will be re rate and the company will enter into another phase with new investors. I'm dreaming, yes...why not?
PS Entirely for my own benefit.
Before you start poking fun at me again....I'm not not selling my holding out of altruism...I'm taking a gamble on it, OK?
The above is now the below. The above is to entertain you while we wait for the RNS/an RNS.
For the sake of clarity the above is in answer to FarEnd.
Why ridicule me? How about yourself....why have you stayed so long, if indeed you are invested for nobody knows. I post my sincere views as worthy or worthless as anyone else's. I'm equally frustrated by the situation and I should have sold when I reached my average which is 8p, I knew that was a sensible thing to do but I didn't do it and I don't regret my decision. As for backing Kurt, I back his because I trust his judgement but that doesn't mean I know he will succeed because I don't. Being ****ged off every day isn't good for anyone's health...just saying. If I started to sell my holding, the sp would go down significantly...just saying.
How exactly do you back him Suzy?
How can you support him?
Comments on this forum won't cut it.
You are (as far as I'm aware) just like the rest of us on here a minor shareholder (ed excluded) in a junior AIM listed mining stock.
May I suggest one way, start a vigorous buying exercise to support this diminishing SP.
If you managed to accumulate enough shares to influence the value of BEM surely that would generate more interest and in turn more support for the CEO.
I'm afraid rhetoric and YouTube Elvis videos won't have the desired effect.
Of course if a positive decision is "forthcoming" he will be the best thing since sliced bread and everyone will be singing his praises. But the result of that will be that most on here will sell, thereby ending any or all support that they had in the first place.
Just my thoughts at this time.
Thank you Dornod for some rational comments on Kurt's situation....we should be backing him in these circumstances he deserves our support.
I can understand your cynical view, it is absolutely justified, but like myself I’m sure many investors believe in KB, his hands, to a large extent are tied here, but he has acted as a good ceo should doing everything within his power to get the concession. Ok, the Swedish man is still giving nothing away, so, having given them EVERY opportunity I’m sure KB will now get his legal team to act within days if the Swedish man is not FORTHCOMING with the decision, which MUST of course be the RIGHT one after EVERYTHING that’s been put in front of them over MANY years!
Very disappointing there has been no RNS this morning summarising yesterday's mining conference whuch represented the only opportunity for Budge to challenge Baylan over his lies.
There is now no more hope of any engagement with the government in the foreseeable future.
Budge isn't showing CEO behaviours necessary in the circumstances.
Has he effectively guven up on kallak?
I think so...
Forthcoming has been the word the government has used since April as has prioritised.
Clearly both used to keep the company fooled into believing the government is moving toeards a decision. It is not.
You speak of cinsequences? What migjt they be and who might impose them.
Budge is happy to draw a generous salary for doing / achieving very little.
If a meteor did strike you would be last to know ? few months ago a 40 metre one just missed but was mentioned 2 days later . Damage impact anyone ?
The definition of “forthcoming” in the English dictionary “about to happen or appear”. By making this statement our Swedish friend is now committed to a very fine time line and therefore must nail his colours to the mast very shortly or face the consequences. KB must be very pleased!
Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Forthcoming in the context of the application means nothing is my point.
The end of time isn't forthcoming so far as anybody I know knows....a meteor might strike the earth tomorrow or it might not.
