Maddog, may I ask which site you use to monitor the Swedish market. Yes I look here and London Stock Exchange
wot are you looking at the Swedish market or british look at the sweds
Aug 59 I totally agree with you and long may it last ,it got me on edge yesterday with all the negative posts especially from people that suddenly came out of the woodwork, most of them have disappeared already and I’m a much happier person, glad to hold ,
Afternoon.. Gentlemen, if you please! What makes BEM special for the wider maket “is” Kallak, and not your, “was” Kallak.. We have all seen UNESCO’s comments, and BEM’s comments in yesterday’s RNS.. You need not be some hot – shot Lawyer to rumble Baylan’s objectives re UNESCO/ Kallak.. This man just got much worse, and is far too sloppy.. A blue day following a catastrophe (“was Kallak”)? Please! Imo only.. atb…
I agree Takay, Kallak is why BEM has maintained the £30m + valuation until now (just hanging on).
If you want graphite try TGR, it's been flying these last couple of days, and probably more mileage left.
BTW, that's not a recommendation, but you can't hang around here forever.
Just saying.
Johnthegolf: Could do. No one really knows. But we all have our prejudices. Me included. I’m sure it’s a good prospect but so is any small miner. What made BEM special for the wider market was kallak. But I’ll happily be proved wrong.
Re. your 17:58 post yeaterday.I would agree it makes good sense to get out now and invest in something else with a view to buying back later. My fear is that Finland comes good in the meantime and I miss out for what should be a substantial rise.As has previously been shared on this board, if the graphite comes good then Kallak will only be the icing on the cake.(some icing)
Just my thoughts.All the best.
?
Buys are 3:1 on the sells
Looks promising. Might see a million traded again
loads more sells than buys , the sweds are sell quite a few , but there must be a buyer for them to sell to.
fin yes lovely to see all the buying going on I’m so pleased I didn’t sell my large holding yesterday it would have been a knee jerk reaction , looks like we will be stable for a while now ,good luck everybody here,
Lots of buys going through it is good to see people have confidence.
Very good news about Finland...didn't clock it earlier...that's looking like a solid investment. :-)
Are the Press in Sweden still subsidised by the Government.
Morning All.
A 1,000,000 buy from tuesday. Cool
how embarrassing for Sweden - shown up by a smaller country that actually cares about business and jobs.....
The speed of our progress in Finland, the financial support we are receiving and the enlightened attitude to mining in Finland is in total contrast to Sweden. No wonder Sweden is falling like a lead balloon in the Frazer Institute mining league.
The press in Sweden should be all over this and embarrass Baylan and the Government. Ministers paid good salaries and pensions for doing nothing.
Very nice RNs for the graphite side and excellent to see the support. Promising project going on there.
Very upbeat with 72% holding in Sweden, the irony is that he’s backed the wrong country. The RNS links BEM happily to Finland and the partnership that they are building around a clean future...Swedish politicians sadly won’t pick up the blindingly obvious subtext!!!
Would it be worth delisting from Sweden, as that’s pointless and listing in Finland? Or, is it possible to list in Finland as well as current ones...Swedish investors would start to see how forward looking governments work with business partners?!?
We’ve all got to be thankful that Kurt diversified...this SP has only reflected the torturous relationship with Kallak. Hopefully new investors can be brought in from Finland and Kosovo...
The response is a lot more upbeat than many here expected I think. I like KB's argument and to me, it sounds compelling. Any thoughts?
Beowulf Mining PLC - exploration and development of gold, copper, lead-zinc-silver and graphite with projects in Finland, Sweden and Kosovo - Mulls UNESCO's comments on the company's application for an exploitation concession for the Kallak iron ore project, Sweden. UNESCO argues the Swedish government should seek a "revised and extended in-depth assessment" to consider the impact of the project on a world heritage property. Beowulf says the planned mine is not located in Laponian Area, a world heritage property. UNESCO also takes the issue to how planned mine may affect reindeer herding. Beowulf says: "Reindeer herding is not a static activity and the importance of any specific area varies from year to year. Reindeer migrate over an area, so their presence on and around Kallak is days in the year and not permanent. The company has been careful in its analyses to consider the proposed mine's potential impacts on Jahkagaska tjiellde's reindeer herding activities in their totality."
Beowulf Chief Executive Kurt Budge adds: "The company maintains it is inappropriate for UNESCO to write about an area that we would strongly argue falls outside of its jurisdiction." CEO adds that: "Importantly, UNESCO does not conclude that Kallak cannot be mined." Says the company has already spoken to the government and will be doing so again to seek clarity on the next steps.
Aye Sooz, we shall. x
Oak - well said.
BEM have to stop playing the nice guy. Baylan has a political career and calculates appeasing the green lobby works, and it has up to now. The company has to start briefing the media (said this 2 years ago) and target Baylan himself to highlight deceit and dishonesty as well as the hypocrisy of Sweden outsourcing dirty emissions when it could be setting the world an example by clean extracting. If the company has to go down they should destroy the politicians responsible.
another million share buy has gone through very puzzling,
Delivers a 15% drop over two days lolol…. Make that decision Mr Baylan we could thereafter get to hear just how your hatchet man will tell the Mining inspectorate why they got it wrong! atb…..
