Goldman Sachs 430p target knocking this share back ??!! Just gotta wonder !!
Would not believe anything related to North Korea. Defence spend has not been increased since the start of the Ukraine conflict in real terms. Message from MOD is do more with same. Probably can’t last though. £4 on the horizon but it will need some evidence that Bab**** benefiting from greater asset activity.
This news should send this hurtling towards £4 again !!
I've both BAB and IAG and down a lot in IAG but know they will come back in next two years. It serves as a good hedge against the oilies I have !!
No1plasterer, I can certainly relate to how you feel after losing I guess a lot on BAB. I've avoided stocks over the years that I'd lost loads on, but if I'd bought back at their lows, well I would have recouped all or most of what I'd lost !! Important to keep emotions out of the decision making !! Defemce spending increasing, disposals paying back debt, profitability restarted....
bab and iag not on my watch list anymore b*llox to bab
yup Babboy is correct i for one will never buy Bab again one of my biggest losers
I think there is a general lack of faith in the stock after investors took a battering. I sold most my holdings around the high this week as a fall always seems to follow a rise to circa 370. I believe that a strong half year announcement will start pushing the stock to 400-500 but would not be surprised to see a drop to circa 300 on low trading in the mean time. They have strong leadership and a double digit margin business is in there.
Why this is bobbing about so much is hard to understand. Hit a nice high over 360p Wed 3/8 around 10am, but then fell about 5-6% to now 342p !! Is it the Taiwan situation - prod lead times can be many months / years so ? - is it the BoE Int Rate decision today ? - surely the 0.50% already built in ? - RR results out today ? JPMorgan have upped their price target to 510p. Any views from anyone out there ?
Good recovery play but not at this price ........
EPS of c.30p and an 11x PE on a trailing basis vs sector average c15x. Would anticipate growth from here, so easy to see why recent broker notes indicate fair value at c450p - 500p a share. Seems they've turned the corner after a rubbish few years. Definitely a good recovery play in the current environment.
These results are a bit short from supporting current m-cap, last 2 years have already wiped out 6 years of profit making 8 years in total as non-existent. Nice to see some positive profits and recovery though.

Bab**** Full Year Results Friday 29th July
Here we go
I'm new to BAB. It was mentioned in last Friday's money week as a good recovery stock especially in today's uncertain times. When can expect any results?
UK telling the war machine to ready up against Russia today... that will help the share price I'm sure
Share price up over 8% so far today - totally baffling as ever. All I know for certain is it always goes back down to 300
Well grapeboy, your enthusiasm doesn't match the direction of this share at present. BAE went up nicely today, surprising that BAB also not going up as Defence budgets increasing.
Some nice continuous price improvement recently and especially on down days for the market like today. Their website says annual results due June/ July. 2 years ago they came out on 11June but probably expect some delays given what happened earlier in the year. If we could see a rise above £4.00 it would for me at least be real progress delivered from the management team.
Could be linked to SMR reactor or nuclear power being centre to UK energy mix. Regarding cost the United Arab Emirates have a joint venture with the South Korean nuclear builder KEPCO. To built new plants globally. They fund and KEPCO built
Prob this a few mins ago.

Suddenly shot up from low 330s to near 350 in a matter of mins
anyone any news?
Looking forward to a formal announcement from the UK Government on civil nuclear strategy and investment this week. The fact that Bab**** is firmly embedded within this sector, including a MoU on development of Rolls Royce's small modular reactors looks incredibly promising. Exciting tmes
Bab**** and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) sign a Memorandum of Understanding in Republic of Korea

You have not to understand how stocks are traded, but if someone thinks the Russian/Ukraine conflict is over, it is pretty short-sighted.
There are not many pure defence stocks to buy, and the overall total market cap equals not even one of the big internet stocks. The extensive research & development the companies are investing in is real high-tech!
Bab**** looks like it has turned the corner and has a full order book. With annual revenues of 4.2 billion £, work for years.
