the question then would be what size is the contract - how much govmt bought machinery is being brought to bear at assist. I was most disturbed by the Bethel tweeting talking about increasing the proportion of domestic made LFTs. Ie. it does not seem that they are set to cover the majority, let alone all, of their needs via avacta - at least not for a period. I would be begrudgingly happy though if, say on the monday presentation, we find that there is 25m worth of govmt contracted capacity in place with a clear roadmap for further ramp over the summer.
The order is a matter of time. I would personally like to see European orders, but from Alistair's comments (see my post above), the UK deal is done.
And what happens to the best, they get replaced by better. No point avacta being the best if we aint got any orders. When you're on top ypu need to seal the deal. He said we have the demand, where is it. Someone needs to sign asap before this tanks below 200p.
For those who sometimes might get worried about Avacta
Ask yourself this ……what happens to things in life that are ‘the best’..you know the best in the world.
The best footballers
The best cars
The best cricketers
The best f1 drivers
The best golfers etc etc etc
I’ll give you a clue……
They are all stinking rich!!!!!
No imagine are LFT…….hmmm
Fair point Marik
Mologic have had their CE mark since 24 December 2020 (1), but have been stonewalled by PHE (2). Mologic have helped Avacta with their CE mark in the UK. Post the UK specific CE marking, Alistair makes a statement (3), referencing "...helping our society and economy return to normal". What makes this specific to the UK is when he states (3): "AffiDX® test will now play a significant part in this process."
By using the phrase "will now" post CE marking in the UK, Alistair is specifically referring to the UK market. For that reason I think Avacta have received orders and it's a matter of time. Mologic may have seen this and become frustrated following 6 months since their CE mark.

I suspect many shareholders are here because of AS. It’s just unfortunate that our investment has/ is being influenced by others of far less caliber. Anyway off for a pint. GLA
It is clear that Porton Down is inefficient and not effective at accurately assessing LFTs. They appear to be unable adapt their processes to assessment issues - which is incredibly poor if part of the process causes the samples to be significantly different to real world clinical samples.
Come on people.. Do you really think what happened last year with the change of direction to the saliva test. Dr smith would be suckered into that all over again..whats the saying? Been there done that.. EU is in bed with Avacta..
Marik, I do agree with what you are trying to say here by deciphering his words however, I find it hard to believe that we are having an easier time at PD than others. I think AS is excited about the level of interest from Europe as he has always banged on about supply being the issue.
As many of you will remember, Al stated just last week that:
"Lateral flow tests have a crucial role to play in helping our society and economy return to normal, and I am confident that the AffiDX test will now play a significant part in this process."
That tells me that we are not facing the same issues as Mologic.
