I took the Medusa test. By the time I'd read all the caveats and disclaimers I could have had a 2nd bout of covid.
Remember this from last year?
https://www.medusa19.com/en/news/medusa-19-launches-landmark-madrid-covid-trials-to-reopen-universities-263691/
Seems hard to believe they will need 50 million of thier test ...
Poor visainn, he’s a nervous wreck. Despite selling out due to not being able to cope, here he is and he’s still ‘concerned’. Fomo is the thing really tearing you apart, suck it up.
You’re a laughing stock, time to move on.
It's the equivalent of resigning from a business and then turning up to their sales meetings and chipping in your comments on their performance.
The point is, people don’t need to be fed fraudulent doubts. Look back, this is what happens to you remember.
Stockholm syndrome?
Have to agree with Rebecca.
“My concern is that the agreement between Avacta and Medusa 19 was giving Medusa the retail rights (i.e. to sel to Joe Public)”
If you are not invested that is like worrying about the weather on Mars.
Rebecca - Since when is this share chat for HOLDERS of shares only
I cant believe that a person cannot have a honest discussion about a viewpoint.
I have NOT said that the test does not exist - It DOES
I have NOT said that the test will fail - I sincerely hope that it is fantastic and will end this impossible to beat pandemic.
ALL I have said is not to read too much into Medusa being a supplier to UK Government as AVACTA kept the commercial rights to themselves - so that WHEN the test is ready = AVACTA will get ALL the cake AND the crumbs - and not give away crumbs to MEdusa
Hope that clarifies
Just to be clear - I don’t think any Medusa / Avct link would be govt related.
I think this has been a really smart move by AS to have a company on board who will provide capacity for Avcts tests outside of any govt contracts.
BBI/ODX and co produce for govt.
Avct have their own partners for production to sell to the world.
Would just make no sense to reduce your capacity for higher margin sales by committing that to govt who want to pay significantly less
Visainn
You’ve had sympathy and sold up, perhaps you should move on and away now. You are becoming annoying and taking space here your not invested ...
jdt1990 - Yes you are right - And well said.
However - from a business perspective and having such high caliber in house staff - AVACTA can do their own contracts directly with Government (And I would pray that they did) as there would be serious eyebrows raised by EVERYONE invested - why Avacta would give away a percentage of a contract to a third party that they could do directly
The test IS THERE - We all know that - The test just has to be completed and the best there is - and then AVACTA will sell DIRECTLY to Government - All Governments - ONCE the (THE ) test is done
But Medusa will NOT be the one getting the contract to UK Government as a third party
Apologies - I’ve interacted and taken a positive thread down the regular deramper path.
If you left for your own mental health issues, for which I sympathise. Have some compassion for those you may be inflicting the same issues.
Subtle sell now messages, backed up by half truths. It’s not cool.
Oh - and now hair growing back - Thats how
Visainn you’re wrong.
Medusa19 have EXCLUSIVE rights to sell the Avct test direct to consumers. Nowhere does it say that stops them selling to entities outside the d2c market. Medusa will be able to sell Avacta tests to anyone. The exclusivity is for direct to consumers. That allows multiple partners on other non d2c fronts.

Became a Buddhist
Took up meditation
Got hold of some Cannabis
Booked into a spiritual retreat
Shaved all my hair
Divorced the wife
Meditated some more
Remarried my wife
Became an Athiest
Then sold AVacta
It is a deramp unfortunately.
Nobody said the connection would be exclusive.
Radia Green - Not a ramp - not a deramp - just an observation.
My concern is that the agreement between Avacta and Medusa 19 was giving Medusa the retail rights (i.e. to sel to Joe Public)
Unfortunately that means that they do NOT have any rights to sell Avacta test once ready - direct to Industry - including Government / NHS etc
So if they are registered now as a official supplier = it means some other products unrelated to Avacta.
When/if it comes - it will be direct Avacta to Government contracts
I am currently NOT holding - but just like 'Who wants to be a millionaire' the contestant always wants to know what WOULD have been - so im here watching for now
Good luck all that are in - This week will surely bring answers and some finality to the question of the existence of Aliens or Not. (Test that works or not)
Could be a master stroke.
There is no requirement for antibody tests to be ‘convenient’, or indeed rapid, given they provide 3 month grace as part of the passport. Nor volume for the same reason. Therefore, they will not use this production for sustained antibody test production.
Interesting to watch this one play out. Without doubt they’ll use their capacity to make money. And why not use it for their mutually beneficial tie up (shareholding & diet deal) with Avacta? So many tax/profit sharing benefits.
Just worth noting that our distribution agreement is with Medusa 19 Ltd, but it’s Medusa 19 Healthcare Ltd (set up in November) which the govt has included in the framework agreement.
If that Medusa 50m capacity they claimed was anywhere near true, the fact they slashed the price of their own average performing antibody saliva test suggests it’s not flying off the shelves. I would be very surprised if they are using a large portion of their manufacturing capacity right now.
Could they be a dark horse manufacturing partner for Avct too, AN or even saliva could make a Phoenix like rise from the dead?
Might be additional manufacturing capacity and perhaps some logistics for distribution as well?
Am I the only one reading it like this?
Medusa19 is under a supplier contract and not a manufacturing one. This would allow #avct and medusa to maintain the margins from the original contract. Medusa is additionally manufacturing, only to maximise Money bag,no favours or deals to govt taken from cellar boy twitter (excellent ) hope he dosent mind.
Good post Rad. Everything Avacta has put in place shows it has a long term strategy, big ambition and the ability to link with great partners.
Good point radia the "cardboard box" company as one twat called them seem to be doing alright
My investment started with Avacta a year ago..This after reading a piece in the FT linking medusa and avacta.
Good news this week at last.
