Thanks Slinkey for reminding us of EnergyShares marvelous synopsis of what little Miss Affimer can do for this and probably any pandemic, never mind the scourge of most Oncology physicians. Who doesn't know someone who's passed from cancer or suffering right now. I've been sitting here with SanMiguel two hours now, he's been nudging me to join many conversations but thats never a good idea when I'm with him... I may politely ask him to leave and invite another more refined friend, Lagavulin, if he's free. If he joins I'm definitely staying away from my pc... where's the keyboard disable button..
Evening bump
And this ..... WOW
Don't forget to add the latest affimer royalties deal with biokit
Poppy if you struggling to see what’s going on, read this thread.
By the way it’s 34 chances NOW
Add BioKit to the list :)

Read this shows you ways big Pharma extend patents.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3146086/
Myself personally don’t worry about patent protection for Avacta, they will long be bought out before this happens and the Big Boy that buys us have massive departments on patent protection.
Energyshares - yet another very helpful post, thank you!
You’re really on a superb roll right now - keep up your great work. It’s appreciated!

They also starting on only 11 years left on patent, but what they don’t realise once they put affimers together with our new delivery systems they re-patent it with delivery mechanism and 20 years starts again. And all the drugs we are working with are off patent anyway.
Big Pharma have been doing this for years to extend their patent life .
Bump to this Energyshares. A real eye opener for the one dimensional people hanging on to the LFT “all or nothing” rhetoric.
And the comical thing is only a couple of those are partially priced in and the rest have zero value as it stands.
The potential here is astronomical. Business model so scalable and if Affimers get their moment in the limelight with a gold standard LFT they will be queueing out the door.
Then there’s the therapeutics.
It just takes one....yes one of those to hit....hurts my head to think what could happen if 5....10.....15 of them do!!
.
Bumped just for newbie
£35 a share? - snap with EUA then?!
@Eneryshares
Best Post I read in a longtime, I believe this company will deliver big and will be a great longterm hold!! The risk we get bought out, even still for Alister to sell, surely £35+ a share given the enormous potential pipeline in the offering. GL All exciting times!!
That would be awesome definitely a longterm hold for me!!
So much happening for one Company.
Incredible.
Remarkable amount of recruitment taking place at Avacta at the moment. Certainly gives the impression they are expecting to have a lot of revenue coming in 'shortly' and can therefore seize the therapeutics opportunities. Great stuff.
Avacta looks quite small with being based in Wetherby, but they have probably got a bigger research department than most small pharmaceuticals.
Leeds University...it’s in their interest to keep innovating affimers they receive royalties from Avacta after Avacta licenced their technology and patented it worldwide.
Just look at the talent that come through that University. https://dctomlinson.wixsite.com/laboratory
I bet that 33 figure will just increasing year on year. This is not you classic GSK or AZ or Pfizer. Its quite a bit different but a diagnostic and therapeutic giant in the making that could be just as big as them in terms of mcap by the end of the decade
From March 20. Interesting background reflecting upon the intrinsic ( and growing) value of Avacta

33 chances and that is not including what Bruker can do with Bams after Covid
PCR could be ditched for Bams.
Also Mologic with their tech added to affimers could be a diagnostic for everything.
And Daewoong have only just started with stem cells. They are looking at a stem cell for COPD that would be massive.
Breaking news Pontins have changed their tact on phone calls and surnames to get into their camps.
They are going to ask how many blockbusters will Avacta have out soon?
If you say 33 your booked in.
But if you say Turty tree your banned.... :)
Excellent summary, thanks. This remains a long hold for me as regardless of short term potential the medium to long term could prove to be astronomical.
I'd say Amgen the better comparison (first in class therapy) but I get the point :) Potential is the same. Go Avacta!
The great thing is - Zantac didn't even work ! It turned out 20 yrs later that it was based on an entirely incorrect model of how the indication it was licenced for (stomach ulcers) were caused.
Great post, anyone who,s selling out after reading that (unless desperate for cash ) need their bumps feeling.
