"and as John Lennon might have put it - 'Give Christina a Chance'. "
I doubt Lennon would have put it like that as it doesn't scan. He may however have put it as--
"all we are saying, is give Chris a chance" which does scan.
Thought all your other comments were bang on.
You are not invested, why are you here? 😉
That good enough for you… 🤣
Generaloz, most people would think there is a clue in the word "principal".
You should try having one account Thorn
You should try questions ICE.
Assumptions and emojis only get you so far it turns out.
The only entity making money from this share right now is the entity that owns the convertible bond. Is it owned by Heights or one of their clients?
Do you ever take a night off… 🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ what’s with all the hypothetical questions!!! 👇👇
FUD
Lots of assumptions posted as 'facts' tonight as usual.
CC is the bees knees, very experienced, the new begining etc etc.
Well maybe but we've heard all this before.
I thought Dr Smith was doing pretty well.
Ultimately it's about the science.
Do we think that's going OK?
So you misjudged your buy in?
How long it would take?
How much it would cost?
Dr Smith's fault? Really?
Actually i do read Wyndrums posts with interest
Not necessarily because I agree with him, quite often I don't and actually I don't think he believes some of the stuff he posts either. It is extreme to try to stimulate a debate imo.
But as a serious investor I want to see all sides of an equation, the positives and the negatives. A happy clappy world does nobody any good
I just wish his posts were significantly shorter!
Baillie Gifford could have retained all shares and dropped to 2.99%. Conifer must have sold at least 1.6 million shares to get below 3%.
I also said pedro, in my very sad life that I apparently have, that at 100p this stock was going nowhere in the short term. Now, its quiet true and a fact that it then within the following few months it went to 185p. However, that was a spike, it was not due to any development by AVCT, it was just an expectation of better things to come that as usual ,unfortunately is the MO of this stock, did not come to pass.
So given many here think my worst crime is to "trade" avct (Or actually sell when I think it will fall further and buy when It might rise), it turns out that I was actually quite accurate in my analysis.
I am not sure what is more pathetic,. me trying in any way I can to hop about to try and scalp some percentage points here or their on about 10-20 stocks, or just constantly braying about how wonderful a high risk stock that AVCT is and never once admitting that it is permanently on a financial precipice.
Its not me that goes around insulting others from the comfort of my keyboard either.
My unemotional view about this company and its odds of disappointment versus success have been proved correct over years of posting here and yet despite the fact that SP is where it is I am in healthy profit with still enough shares should the potential unexpected surprise surface.
So yes, rant away, but its quite possible to make money out of shares that are going down if you can pick your moments.
But I also realise that it is a cardinal sin here, to mention that you can or have made money out of AVCT .
I put this down simply to my abusers as jealousy/envy, because plenty of people take my view and do ok by separating the way a company is run versus its product.
So my mantra of "i don't care about AVCT, as a company" has worked pretty well as it has on all the other stocks too.
All I have done is bore you all to death but banging on about it, but at least I have been right, whereas I have had to endure you lot banging on about your views and being wrong.
BV...there are different ways to divest...it is not just about selling off. They can divest by spinning off DX as a separate newly listed company in which existing shareholders get shares based on valuations of TX and DX.
I held shares a few years ago where just this happened. It wasn't a problem and each company could then better target their individual marketplaces and each could brand accordingly giving greater recognition. Each company had Directors in common but separate CEO's and management.
BV..if you look at the bios for Avactas Board members it might explain why the decision was made to expand the DX div by a M&A policy. Non-Execs are there for their input/expertise past and present. I don't think it has been a bad move providing they get DX fully integrated/streamlined with a clear pathway for the affimer tech from Avactas lab into Avactas testing equip and out through Avactas Distributor/Direct Sales. Avacta now owns and controls the psthway from start to finish snd shojld get cracking.
AS has served the company well. Like almost founders there comes a point where a company reaches a stage when someone else is better equipped to run it. In the case of this company the time is now.
Christina Coughin comes with vast experience and an exceptionally strong background to take the business to the next stage. I suspect we will see further appointments & strengthening of the team soon.
She will also be very focused on farm out licences, commercial deals & potentially a full takeover. Unlike a founder she will be focused on maximising shareholder returns.
The company has never been in a better position, with exceptional data, strong cash position & as outlined in the recent update record revenues. I note the revenue has been overlooked by the market. Why ?
I suspect we see major news flow over the coming months.
Share price doubles or more in next 3 to 6 months.
"The Group’s strategy is to divest the Diagnostics Division to create a pure-play oncology biopharmaceutical company in a manner which maximises value and strategic benefits for shareholders.
With a balanced business and capital allocation model: a high-value oncology pipeline supported by a revenue generating, fast-growing diagnostics business, Avacta seeks to create long-term shareholder value alongside patient benefit."
Oh dear
"Avacta has two divisions: an clinical stage oncology biotech division" Oh dear.
Haha...on wrong timeline...they were based on 15min interval not 1 min...
Maybe he will publish a auto biography explaining his side of the story? 'Alan - My Story'
Without AS there would have been no company
So Conifer and Baillie Gifford have sold out? Also it states that the principle place of operation is the United Kingdom. Does that imply that there is no operations taking place in the US?
