SparkyA1------"I think there will be some surprises along the way."
Hopefully in the upwards direction?

Thanks for your view, I will continue to hold.

Thanks for your reply.
Now that the Court hearing date has been set for 8th May and last day for dealing in SHG is 9th May and the present SP is around 14.75/14.80, I am puzzled as to why there should still be reasonably large ( ish) buys going through, it just does not seem worth it. Or are some folk anticipating that the court will not grant final approval and that the SP would gain a higher level?
Any ideas why?
Cj62 ------
That had occurred to me also.
Anyone know where this is or is it a secret?
Is it the Royal Court in Guernsey or somewhere else?
Thanks
The problem now of course for this company and its spokespersons, is that can anybody believe a word they say?
I think not.
SparkyA1 ------
Thanks for the reply.
I can see why it is possible still to trade because the Scheme Court date has not yet been set ,but my point was why would anyone bother to do so as it doesn't seem worth the bother to me given the tiny amounts being bought.
I also have doubts as to this going through, with all the problems that these shysters have caused with their shenanigans and the voting shambles to boot.
Can someone please explain the reason for the tiny trading ( buys ) today, mostly less than 100 shares bought.
I can see why people may be selling ( fed up waiting for their money and now divi assured) but why would anyone be buying.

Will do the same for Interactive Investor.
Do posters here happen to know if there are levels where offered Take overs or Buy outs are required to be confirmed to the SHs of the company subject to the offers?
Or is it just left to discretion?
Just interested.

Care to explain your reasoning?
****goestheeasal --------"i'm wondering what incentives were put in place for such a speedy response....?"
i'll give you a clue ----it comes in brown envelopes and it's called backhanders.
Perhaps Dobbin may hit 54 today but that may be a bit too much of a rush?
Article in yesterday's Midas in The Mail on Sunday March 31st on page 54 entitled "Shanta mines a rich seam to exit" states in the final paragraph :
"Having offered 13.5p for Shanta in December, ETC improved its bid over a week ago. The voting deadline is tomorrow and momentum is gathering in ETC's favour."
The_shareminator -----
Or put another way, the proper offer should be around 17.5p per share on current values would you agree?
Au $2210 at moment, immaculate timing for the Patels (I don't think).
Kipperfoot ---------
As I posted on 26th March, they are hardly going to release any favourable Shanta results before this voting charade is concluded as that would go against their case that 13.5/14.85p is all the share is worth.
Even if the Nomad forced them to release ( following the strong approaches here about the rubbish voting procedures) I wouldn't put it past them to "downplay" the results so as to reinforce their derisory offer as being reasonable.
These shysters are out to rook us make no mistake.

Good e mail.
Can I suggest you also copy it to :
questor@telegraph.co.uk as they are interested in this kid of thing.
I will be contacting them as well.
Nigelbonger
Agree completely.
These shysters have been trying to con us all the way through and are hardly going to stop now by releasing any results before the voting charade is concluded are they. Particularly any results that could be good.
Au price on the rise again to $2,200 by the way.
All to vote NO to all of their proposals.
